It's time so I think Imma start putting up the profiles of all my characters in Scraps with a full body reference picture of them and links to the original artists of the pictures. That way the profiles will be easily accessible should I finally get off my ass and fill the gallery with stories and such.

Right, looking over what I've got on my plate just now I think I'll save some hastle and just put up updated information on my PCA characters, then start with the stuff taking place as things are now. A few "flashback" stories will be added in the future, including one long overdue one taking place during the Fall Formal, but yeah. Let's just call this the attempt to get back on track and active again.

EDIT: I'll start after getting back home and waking up. For now, time to shower, stop by the bank, and get some lunch before sleeping a few hours.

To help myself catch up with some things, I think I'm goign to turn this into a general PCA account, complete with watches, favorites, etc... Whereas my main will be undoing PCA-based watches. I'll still be getting everything, but it'll be a little more organized and help me keep up.

Now then, news about the Region Hopping trip? Not canceled, but postponed. As if that wasn't a given... >_> It'll be starting up soon enough but first I need the time to actually dedicate to writing up what I need to write up for it. When it happens announcements'll be made, here's to really digging back into the PCA while I'm off from work~ ... Ffff- It's gonna be a bitch finding all the people to watch. =l

Har har, there's an actual flood watch in my area these next few days... And in honor of it, I plan to catch up! Really, really fast. =l And I apologize to all those who watch me for it. Welp, time to get postin'! Most of these things'll wind up being straight up RP logs, admittedly. It's all to make way for finally starting the Region Hopping event!

In relation to this journal and this picture, I want to see about getting some form of list down. Anyone who wants is welcomes to take part here. But if you guys who plan to have students on this trip can, could you try commenting in this journal so we can get some sort of list of assured participants going? This would mainly serve to help people who did things for the project find others who were, for the sake of cameos, comments, etc...

As now explained in picture form, Mrs. Cartego and  dark-chaos 's Mr. Meditow will be throwing an eductaional trip for students in their classes that involves stops in all four regions to explore and then experience first hand the differing cultures and environments. Also taking part as a third supervising teacher will be  bittenhard 's newest teacher, the geography teacher Edina Easterly. I welcome and encourage anyone in the PCA to take part in this optional event as students are brought all over in the form of art, stories, and even RP logs!

Every stop the group takes will take place in a time span of two days. The first day would be filled with teacher lectures on the area, its culture, its history, and its ecosystem. Along with how they relate to each other. For the sake of sharing information basically pulled out of our asses but based partly on the real world, DC and I will be uploading miniature lectures throughout this venture on where the students have been taken.

When these lectures are posted, it is encouraged for people who do decide to take part in some way or another to participate by relaying any questions or comments their characters might have in the form of IC commentary, as many have done before during fun little events such as  asuraludu 's radio shows.

P.S. I'm going to do a bit of a rush job with a few things, then upload what I've got to quickly catch myself up with the PCA continuity before we begin to post lectures... Much of what is uploaded will likely be in cleaned up RP log form, rather than converted stories.

Local Family: Jeremiah Cartego (Husband, Butterfree.), Penny Cartego (Daughter, Scizor.), Faith Sumisu (Honorary "daughter," Vulpix.), and Kiana Winhanna (Niece, Scizor.)

Related History: Born Maile Winhanna, Mrs. Cartego grew up in Rapanui and at age 17 began volunteering for a program aiming to restore the island's lost ecosystems. In this program, she met the botanist Jeremiah Cartego, and upon becoming 18 revealed their relationship and willingly moved out to Kanto with him, where she furthered her education to get a degree in zoology, and a bachelor's in wildlife conservation with a year off due to pregnancy.

At age 27, Maile began working at the Viridian City Zoo, specializing in rock and water types. And at the age of 30 she began taking a more active part in the zoo's breeding and restoration programs, quickly becoming a key component in the zoo's international links thanks to personal experience with and courses on intercultural relations. With the zoo having more personnel and volunteers than ever and a seasonal lull, she looked to the PCA as a means of keeping herself busy and, of course, giving back more to the local community by signing on as a part-time teacher.

I'll start this off with a bit of OOC banter, as I'm sure will be the "popular" thing to do soon enough about the recent bit of crappiness between  calrito and  melfice . Let me say this just now, I love the PCA, I love the people of the PCA, I talk to a number of people from it personally... Both of these two included. I love you guys, you know who you are. You're great pals, you're fun, and quite frankly time spent with you is often the highlight of my days. But jesus fucking christ some of you know how to piss me off sometimes... I'm not really taking sides here, because I'm quite frankly annoyed with people on all sides here and despite trying to keep things mellow hope they can all realize this.

Paranoid, ridiculously pessimistic about others or in some cases yourselves, completely uncompromising, hastily at each other's throats over such minor crap, far too easily pissed off/emofied... I'm not accusing everyone of anything, or anyone of everything, but christ do these features stand out sometimes. Some of you guys really need to calm the hell down, eat some chili or something, get that endorphin flowing and talk some things out. Because quite frankly all of this is just stupid, although certain individuals were quite right when they said "although this was unfortunately necessary."

Nothing is unsalvagable here, nobody should have to leave... But this was just one nice little mess for something that only took a few freaking hours... From what I've come to understand, we may see a shift soon that could be for the best. A "control" exchange, so to speak... To a man I personally can completely get behind here. He shows a nice calm, level-headedness the PCA could benefit from, and tends not to take sides, being good at picking up on validity and assenine assertions within contexts. On top of that, he's approachable and has been along for the whole ride so he really knows what's going on and about a lot of the conflicts we do have.

Here's to hoping for a good resolution either way. *Salute.* Now then? On to a brighter topic that will hopefully bring a bit of extra spice to the PCA experience.

All this vandalism lately? It's not good for the reputation of the school. People are paying damned good money to get us educatyed here at the best school in the nation, debatably the world... And we've got some pricks running around lowering its prestige because they don't like wearing polo shirts...

<Penny> Agreed... We have it under reasonable suspicion that these vandals are from the GLEE Club. Whether it's the entire group or just a handful sort of using it as a shield, don't know. But that's not the important part. The important part is, we've gotta stop this...
<Nicole> So we find them and get recordings or photos, give them to the faculty or cops.
<Penny> We could just do that. But I don't know if I'm ready to get some kids fined and possibly kicked out of the school just yet. The proposal? Find out about their operations, run interference. Screw up their intended screw-ups, help make this school run smoothly and pound in the message of "we're not just sitting with our thumbs up our asses while you do this." Ideally, we'll discourage and maybe convince a few of 'em out of this crap completely. So, who's with me here?

I'm a bit bored, and progress with a few things is going slow... But this is stuck in my head, so I'm venting it out. Again, this is a real old one originally done by  gammaeradon , this time featuring Pike Supiaa. Also? Rather than waiting for everything to be finished first, I think I'll start uploading a few older stories that are still the earliest ones in the continuity I've got.

In other words? What the kids were doing on Spring Break. Nothing will be uploaded beyond Meeting Sumisu until this time, each chapter of it is finished and put up. I stand by the fact that I will have things put up in proper order here.

Home Life:

- Pike is an only child due to his father’s near sterility, but at home is actually surrounded by family because of his aunt, uncle, and cousin who reside with them. His uncle, like both his parents, is a Beedrill. But his aunt is a Vespiquen.
- Pike’s never been so fond of his cousin Amy, considering her a spoiled little girl who had a tendency to get him in trouble while they were growing up.
- Pike does have a computer in his room, but to use it he keeps the mouse and keyboard on the floor to use with his feet.
- Pike’s aunt and uncle weren’t exactly invited to his parents’ residence. They just kind of showed up one day looking for a place to stay. They’re essentially squatters, but family is a hard bond to break for Beedrills so it’s not like his parents can exactly kick them out.
- Pike stopped spending much time with the family a long time ago, now of days it mainly consists of him being annoyed by Amy, eating breakfast with his parents, or getting chewed out by his aunt for “being lazy.”


Personal Life:

- Pike met Sarah Khanna not long before enrolling in the PCA through the online MMO, D-Quest. Back then they just stayed in contact through IMs and played various MMOs together, so it was a nice surprise to learn they were going to the same school.
- Pike has his own designated controller over at Sarah’s now that they occasionally hang out claiming he’s practicing for upcoming battles. Seeing as he needs to use his feet to play and all, she didn’t think people would be quite so fond of using the same paddles later.
- Pike was always a bit of a social recluse, often hiding away in his room on the computer when not at school or practicing with the team… Though, that’s been changing a bit since Faith came to Viridian and the two became an item.
- After New Year’s, Pike’s resolution became to get more noticed and make more friends. But unfortunately he’s having trouble dedicating himself to making it happen.
- Part of what made Pike a bit of a recluse was his lack of dexterous hands. It’s made a lot of normal teenage activities difficult, and almost prevented him from joining the drama club.

School Life:

- Since entering the PCA and learning of the student, Pike has had a strong admiration for the student Joshua Garkirl. The fact of the matter is that he knows little of what the person is actually like, but with the Beedrill’s mindset… Joshua comes from a family of noble blood and tradition, and appears to uphold most of these traditions and even the idea of order. Hence, he’s about as close to a knight as you can get in this modern era.
- Like Penny, Pike adores Professor Magnum’s history class. But that’s kind of a given, it’s his subject matter of choice after all. But he especially enjoys how sometimes during the lectures he’s able to immerse himself in the tale like he were there.
- As mentioned above, Pike is a part of the drama club. Is he the best actor out there? Hell no, but he’s not too bad and he’s been improving, so maybe some day there will be hope of landing that big role… Just as long as that beg role doesn’t include picking up a cup or plastic sword.
- Pike’s always been a bit of an average fighter, hell all of Team Untitled has. But in recent months has been showing improvement, which has even helped his grade.


Love Life:

- Pike is extremely inexperienced in this field. For a while he dated Sarah online, but that was long before they actually met and is pretty different from actually being there in person with someone.
- Despite the fact that unlike certain team members Pike certainly has an active enough libido, there’s one other thing very important to a teenage male that his stingers prevent him from being able to do.
- Pike did try to get to that dance back on New Year’s, but couldn’t think of many people to go with and didn’t feel up to going alone. In the end he tried resorting to his teammates, but Sarah was busy “pwning her way into the new year,” and Penny was… Less than thrilled about the idea. On the bright side, he got to join Sarah back on D-Quest and still had a pretty good time.
- With Faith now in the picture, Pike has never been happier. He’s finally got that person to cherish and to fight for, and now that she’s there and the veil of “just RP buddies” is gone he can’t imagine it being anyone else. Though at times he still subconsciously questions why she chose him of all people.


Misc Facts/Quirks:

- For a while before school, Pike actually went anorexic. It had nothing to do with self image problems, but one problem that keeps hindering him time and time again: his forearms. For the same reason he has his other teammates feed him out in public he began starving himself back at home before finally coming to his senses and putting his pride aside. Now he’s fine with it, so long as he can clean himself up and nobody else sees the spectacle.
- Pike is a fine enough actor both on and off stage, but his improv needs a lot of work.
- In descent, much like the Butterfree half in Penny… Pike is full blooded Native Viridian, which helps with the fact he’s riding a wave of scholarships just to attend the PCA with his family’s financial situation.
- Back on the net, a few old RP friends keep asking why Faith and Pike aren’t around much anymore. He’s considering the idea of inviting some of Faith’s friends to a session with the pair’s online friends as a means of spending more time with them without excluding the current classmates.

Well, I was going to leave it to the stories to reveal all this... But considering how long it's going to take to finish EVERYTHING so I can finally post it all? Well, I may as well take part in this meme here and now. So here's some brief intermission while I work on finishing up the old meme for the Untitled kids. Odds are, a good chunk of these characters won't be recognized as they haven't really made their big debuts yet.

Originally I was going to try my hand at that little relationships thing  theaubri started that seems to be catching on as a PCA meme... But then i realized it could give away certain... Things that I'd rather have given away in the stories first. So to tide people over, I went back in time to an old PCA character meme started by  gammaeradon which I plan to fill out for every character I have right now and post on the side as I work here.

Today? The subject matter is probably my most well developed and most used character... Penny Cartego. Next up will be Pike Supiaa, Sarah Khanna, and Ross Wells, in that order.

Home Life:

- Penny’s parents are both trained in fields of biology, so she was raised in a rather science-oriented environment. Her father is a botanist and her mother was a field zoologist, but now works as a zoo keeper and a consultant for companies that make exotic pet supplies.
- The first attack Penny learned was taught to her by her father, Silver Wind. As a Butterfree who knew the move, he claimed it was in her genes to be able to use it.
- As Penny grew and began showing an affinity for machines and technology, her parents were fine with it but took extra precautions to make sure she understood the importance of nature as well. As a result, she became rather well rounded in the sciences despite her major interest career-wise dealing with the technological side.
- Penny never had much exposure to her extended family on her mother’s side. They live over in the Orange Archipelago. Specifically, they are Rapanui. As a result, she never really visited them until Spring Break. And until Kiana’s move out to Viridian for schooling, she’d only ever seen the Winhannas in Kanto twice.
- Penny gave her family one hell of a surprise when she one day suddenly came home a Scizor. Her mother shows some concern over her reasons for doing it, but now they’ve gotten used to her new metallic form.


Personal Life:

- Penny adores science fiction just as much as science fact despite the fact the former generally takes the back burner in favor of the latter. She’s tried her hand at writing it, but always throws her ideas out because they sound more like scientific logs on the biology and culture of the creatures and societies she makes up rather than a proper story.
- As a Scyther, Penny concentrated on staying fast and mobile, in and out of enemy reach before they could even react. It worked well sometimes, but others it wound up getting her some really bad blows as her opponents rushed their attacks to try to make sure they connected. More than once, she accidently even ran into them. As a result she went to the nurse’s office semi-regularly, often to wait out headaches, and came to admire Head Nurse Mr. Rocco and his strong exterior. This was a major contributing factor to her decision to become a Scizor.
- Though Penny loves the modern sciences and the sci-fi Universes in general, she has a special place in her heart for the steam punk genre and has been known to try to think of ways toget the technology you’d see in such a place to actually work.
- Penny initially met Sarah Khanna before they were enrolled in the PCA. The two were both looking for what at the time was the new sci-fi FPS game, REVOLUTION: Combat Enhanced. They were both after the same copy, and nearly broke into a fight over it but in the end compromised on buying it together and playing for ownership. Much to the young Scyther’s dismay, she lost. Horribly. But the two just kept playing and soon enough their hatred towards each other became mutual respect and then friendship.

School Life:

- When Sarah Khanna was forming Team Untitled and invited Penny in on it all, the Scyther was hesitant. Not because of the idea of being on a team with Sarah, but because of the other bug she was trying to get in on the idea. One of Sarah’s other friends named Pike Supiaa.
- Though how much she’s ever cared about history is up in the air, Penny enjoys going to history class at the PCA. She can’t put her claw on exactly what it is, but there’s something about Professor Magnum that keeps a part of the Scizor’s brain all tingly. A feeling that reminds her of dismantling engines.
- Though she has considerably little interest in politics… Penny does hold a deep respect for the Student Council, if only because they managed to work their way to where they were.
- In recent months, since the visit to the Garkirl Villa, Penny has been working diligently to advance a grade early.
- Penny's favorite faculty member would actually have to be Ms. Cameroon, for a multitude of her own special reasons. One being a slightly less legitimate reason than the rest. "By any chance do you have a cousin named James?"


Love Life:

- When Penny was young she had a real thing for one of her friends, a Spinarak boy. She never managed to tell him about her feelings before he and his family moved away, however. And since then had a difficult time even forming mild crushes until events that led to her relationship with Joshua Garkirl.
- Penny sees sex as an act of making love, and hence has no intention to have it with anyone she doesn’t honestly believe she loves. She’s managed to embed this idea into her own head so thoroughly that she seldom even had a sexual dream where she actually could see any of her partner. This has, of course… Changed with recent developments.
- Despite having no drive to actually put it to use, Penny does feel proud in a way of the more hourglass-like figure that evolving gave her.
- It might be noticed that none of Team Untitled wound up at the dance on New Year’s. All of them have their excuses, Penny’s was simply that she had no interest in any of the few people who wanted to take her and just didn’t want to possibly lead any of them on. The Scizor took special care to make sure her point was made when her teammate, Pike, tried his luck. It’s hard to misinterpret a metal claw squeezing your throat.
- To this day, the Scizor still occasionally wonders a little about what ever happened to that Spinarak boy and if he’s even the same person anymore. Of course, she has her shiny new Gallade and couldn’t be happier… But he was still one of a whole two friends she had pre-PCA, and a “first love.”


Misc Facts/Quirks:

- Penny’s oldest memory is of her getting scolded for ruining some of the plants in her father’s greenhouse playing Rampardos. She doesn’t know how young she was.
- Penny’s favorite kind of weather is heavy fog or rain. She thinks they make the world feel alive and clean.
- In ethnic descent, Penny is half Rapanui and half “Native Viridian.”
- Penny once had an internship at the De Kanto family’s gardens.
- Her current favorite "toys" are a pair of miniature Block Bots Josh bought her while they were in Hoenn. She fondly refers to them as the kids, and has named them Linguis and BV2.
