Posted 12 years agoFirst ever convention.. and I gotta say, was a blast!!!! ^.^
Also first rave in a very long time, oh how the times have changed.. Nobody knows how to dance anymore. What happened to the happy music that made people move around? I had to REQUEST hardstyle lol. I've never heard of that before. Oh well, it was amazing, and if anything brings me back to a convention it'll be the fun ass raves ^.^...
Also, if I saw you here, I apologize that I didn't recognize you instantly, and if you were here, send me something. Maybe we can chill tomorrow on the last day... errr... today!

Cleaning up!
Posted 12 years agoI'm going to be clearing out my submissions so I can better organize them. I wish to make a majority of everything I've submitted a "scrap" while I work on more digital version of them, or just create better versions of them anyway.
As for other updates... I've been pretty busy so I haven't gotten around to doing pretty much anything at this point. I have so much that I want to do and once I get the time I will be all over that!

Update!
Posted 12 years agoHello people that actually pay attention!
I feel I must update you on situations that have happened within the last couple of months.
First of all, I will most likely be distracted from future events as I have been for the last couple of weeks.
My father has had his 4th stroke. His 3rd stroke left him with a "useless" left side of his body. I have yet to really learn about what this stroke has done to him other than slur his speech. He also has 2 blood clots in his brain, one at his brain stem, the other at the bottom right half of his brain.
Usually this would mean they would be performing surgery fairly soon. But he also has a UTI as well as a Yeast infection along with his Diabetes to prevent immediate surgery from being performed. This has caused enough stress as it is.
Another issue, a much lesser issue, is that my car is in the shop, and they're looking at me for the replacement cost of many parts to the vehicle...
If it wasn't fun enough, my T.V. has recently been stolen from my dorm room. Though only 500 dollars in comparison to everything else, it's still a hit to the head.
Anyway, I don't want anything, I don't expect anything.. All I want is understanding if I promised something...
I hope all is well in your lives, and maybe I'll be able to write a cognitive journal when I'm done being drunk every single day of the week!

I'M BAAAACK!!!!
Posted 12 years agoGuess what? The fox is back! ^.^
I guess I had to take some time away. Kind of a self-searching project as well as getting my life together.
First things first. I'm sorry to all of you that I feel I have "abandoned". I have no real excuse, and all I ask is for your forgiveness.
Also, 8904 Submissions and 4932 Journals are a bit much to go through. I took the easy way and just nuked it.
Now for the update on me. I think I'm finally coming around to understanding who I am and what I like to do. I've since Joined the USAF. It's a pretty decent job (if you can call it that), but I don't intend on making it one. Just thinking of doing my 6 and moving on. I work on computers and enjoy every bit of it. I intend on making computer science a career and get into coding as well as building them.
As for everything else... shit.. that's a lot to go through. I spent 3 months in basic training, 4 months in Technical School, and I've been based in Tx for a good part of 2 years. Also, the 11th-12th is my 2nd anniversary of being in the AF and the 27th is my B-Day. Lot's-a-drinkin' to be had!
Now I ask you, if you're on of my close friends that I had on this, what's going on? How are things?

Driving in Pheonix
Posted 16 years agoJust a little something that me and
misharu can relate too.
P.s. 9 is a little long, feel free to skip it if needed.
Only someone from the Phoenix area would understand and the really funny thing is, that a lot of this is so true!
1. 'Phoenix' actually consists of Scottsdale, Chandler, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Tolleson, Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Sun City, Sun City West, Sun City Grand, Sun Lakes, Surprise, Laveen, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, and half of the Mexican border.
2. The morning rush hour is from 4:00 am to noon. The evening rush hour is from noon to 9:00 PM. Friday's rush hour starts on Thursday morning.
3. The minimum acceptable speed on most freeways is 85 mph. On Loop 101, your speed is expected to match the highway number. Anything less is considered 'Wussy'.
4. Forget the traffic rules you learned elsewhere. Phoenix has its own version of traffic rules. For example, cars/trucks with the loudest mufflers go first at a four-way stop;the trucks with the biggest tires go second. However, in the East Valley, SUV-driving, cell phone-talking moms ALWAYS have the right of way.
5. If you actually stop at a yellow light, you will be rear ended.
6. Never honk at anyone. Ever. Seriously. It's an offense that can get you shot.
7. Road construction is permanent in Phoenix. Detour barrels are moved around for your entertainment pleasure during the middle of the night to make the next day's driving a bit more exciting.
8. Watch carefully for road hazards such as drunks, dogs, barrels, cones, cats, mattresses, shredded tires, rabbits, vultures, javelinas, roadrunners, and the coyotes feeding on any of these items..
9. Maricopa Freeway, Papago Freeway and the 'I-10' are the same road. SR202 is the same road as The Red Mountain FWY. Dunlap and Olive are the same street too. Northern and Shea are the same street. Also Glendale Ave. becomes Lincoln Drive. Jefferson becomes Washington, but they are not the same street. I-17 is also called The Black Canyon Freeway as well as The Veterans Memorial Highway. The Superstition is also known as US 60. The 101, 202 and 303 remain a large mystery to most of us. It is not yet determined if there is a Red Mountain and a San Tan or just a Red/Tan Mountain. The SR51 has recently been renamed to Piestewa Freeway because Squaw Peak Parkway was too easy to pronounce. SR101 is also the Pima FWY except west of I-17, which is also The Black Canyon FWY, and
The Veterans Memorial HWY.. Lastly, Thunderbird Rd. becomes Cactus Rd. -- but, Cactus Rd. doesn't become Thunderbird Rd. because it dead ends at a mountain.
10. If someone actually has their turn signal on, wave them to the shoulder immediately to let them know it has been 'accidentally activated.'
11. If you are in the left lane and only driving 70 in a 55-65 mph zone, you are considered a road hazard and will be 'flipped off' accordingly.
If you return the flip, you'll be shot.
12. For summer driving, it is advisable to wear potholders on your hands.
13. Please note that there are many, MANY more issues to the phenomenon of driving in Phoenix-- like the 4-cars-through-a-red-light rule --but these will at least get you acquainted with our unique life on the road.
Any questions?
