Posted 11 years agoso ive been going nonstop. go go go! military life stops for no one! and not me either! i have artwork to get to people and getting up at 4 am to do, and oh my was i not ready for this! im sorry to all the people waiting on artwork. i will try to see if one of the offices around here will let me use a scanner. virginia weather is peculiiar by the way. i feel lonesome being d=so far away from friends. as well as having to say byebye so much to my hunnie. but he sure does keep me busy with things to do and paperwork to file and uniforms to repair and iorn. whewf.
new stage of life
Posted 11 years agoso, recently i got married to a high school sweetheart of mine, and we had about two hours together before he was on a plane clear across the country. and finally, 5 months later, hes going to have his duty station and i will get to live with him! im looking forward to pressing his uniforms, arranging the house, packing his lunches, and making things generally comfortable for him at home. but gotta say, looking forward to the cuddles the most! while ive been waiting, ive been working on a fursuit head (long overdue) artwork commissions, (also long overdue) and some rubberwear as well as cleaning up and organizing all the stuff i will need to take with me for the move.
sleeping alone every night is sad :(

second job reqd
Posted 12 years agoso my boss cut my hours to just two days a week. luckily, i was able to snag a sweet gig testing vidio games for Microsoft. i have orientation on fri. it is a long commute, but i should be able to make it work. also a prospective third job handing out samples for more than my current wage at costume city.
so i made a bet with this fur, the bet was whoever got a second job first pays up. so i guess i win. maybe twice because i may have three jobs soon.
anyway, its a struggle to keep up with bills. i have a car payment on my right insurance on my left rent above me and a phone undernieth. how is somone supposed to be able to save with all this going on?
not to mention my honey snuggles ran away beyond my reach and theres no way to get him back. no time to catch up on my own personal projects, no money to do them with anyway, a full schedule prospect ahead, and i have no one to hug.
and anyone who knows me kknows how much i like to cuddle and give affection.
its just a bad deal all arround.
so heres the plan, i dress up as a ninja and wolf my way into camp pendelton, snatch up my snuggles and high tail it out of there! ill probly get shot, but hey, ill get to see my snugglewums again for valentines day!

Posted 12 years agoabout bills. i have so many that i can't make any of my own work. it is frustrating to work all day doing what i love to do and not be able to have any to make for my friends. and to top it all off my car was wrecked. so now i have a car payment and have to work long hours to make it at all. i have to say though, my job is fantastic. i love doing it, and i feel like it is a magnificent career opportunity. it is a start up company, and given time, i can be an essential piece of a growing business. i try to improve the quality of the product every day, to make them not stuffy during hard wear, and to wash easily. the better quality the work, the better i am paid. thats how it works. i currently pay 1,350 in monthly bills, and hardly have enough for gas to even get to work. i just need to make production quicker, i guess. though working with my hands all day is nice. i dont make enough to live on my own, i sincerely wish i could do that, and i don't know how long it will take before my paygrade will allow me to do that. i miss the friends that i made in college, and hope i will be able to go back to school in a couple years. as it is, back to the daily grind i guess.

fursuit tutorial
Posted 15 years agowell i broke down and started to remember to take pictures of the fursuits im making as i make them i have lots of pictures and will (when ray, the suit in progress is done) post a nice long in depth how to fursuit making tutorial. it will expose all my techniques and tricks tips and hints and all manner of confused blurry pictures which i will attempt to make some sense of.

in case you were interested my schedule is

how do i know about the cows mooing you ask?
lets just say i was on a deserted midnight hilltop with blankets, a glass of wine, and a few candles. perhaps next to a tree. perhaps with annother warm body nearby, but no matter, i heard the cows mooing! MOOING I SAY!
in fact, thier mooing caused such a distress, that their unease did strike fear into my own heart, nonetheless i retreated from my hilltop unscathed, (for the most part) and did witess the first casualty of the new year.

Soft Feet-pwas made while you wait at FC
Posted 15 years agoi recently had the idea to take my fursuiting supplies with me to FC and in the artist lounge sit there and make soft slipper paws while you wait at fc,
i would get the foam done at the con, then fur it later at home in one big batch. these are going to be wicked looking foot paws with rubberised paw pads for walking in.
they will look really great in the end, and are meant for roaming arround mostly in the house in or for short excursions. ill be wearing a pair i made for myself at the con
i think a comission price for these awsome paws would be arround 45-50 dollars a pair

each day i start at 9:30 in the morning. which means i have to get up at 7:30. not too bad? not really
on monday i go to school. literaly nearly straight till 10 pm theres a two hour break in there . woo doesnt really make that big of a diffrence.
on tuesday day ends at 8. litterally straight through, no real breaks
wed straight till 5
and thurs till 6
so no time for nothing on monday, scarce time for studdy and dinner tuesday and time enough for homworks wed and thurs. lots of more studdying on fri, but i take the weekends off. which have recently been filled working on fursiut comissions. thank my lucky stars for those, i love doing it.
anyway i have one mostly foamed and one which i have fur for and no foam.

Posted 16 years agoapparantly i diddnt get a c in art hist. i ended up no credit on it. i think ill have to get a better professor next time. art hist SUX dont take it ew
im angry at myelf for being a failure. i mean you have to pay for thse classes even if you dont get credit. i shouldhave dropped it the first day when i was thinking about it.
oh well. ill et a bunch o krap from my mom and unckle now, who will think "im not taking school seriously"
really the class was set up wierd. and it was a lot of memorising the names of artists. im bad at that. the final exam was all pure what artist did this? and im all like that guy who also did that? but apparantly im not good enough for that. and my final essay was bombed...
honestly if i had done a bttr job with he stupid online discussions and the final essay i wouldhave passed the class.
oh well. i guess ill just have t deal with re taking art history...
memorizing names and dates shouldnt be what the class is about. oh well. ill have to look for a better professor that knows how to teach a class insead of just expecting the class to memorise evrything while we talk about two or three peicec in class all day.
