Hey guys!!

I haven't uploaded in a while and I want to quickly explain what happened over the past few months.

Back in October I lost my job, which was obviously not good lol I had to scramble to find work, but sadly, the animation industry isn't doing so hot in my part of the world currently and I was unable to find work in my field. Luckily, it being close to christmas time, I was able to find a few part time places that could hire me, but it left very little time for myself.

By the end of december I got in contact with a friend who was doing freelance animation work and she connected me with her client. They had a project for me that seemed fun and promising, but it turned out I was the lead designer as well as lead character rigger, so I've been basically working two full time jobs at once. It was heavy, harrowing and a massive job to take on, but I can gladly say that I am finished that contract and I have a new one lined up that's a normal work load so I finally have free time again!!

Hey everyone! I took a brief hiatus to finish a painting commission I took on a few months back. (Lots and lots of back and forth with the client, but I *hopefully* finished it yesterday!) I'm back to my digital art now and the first YCH winner's prize should be up soon, as well as some other side stuff I've been at here and there.

That brings me to my question. Would anyone be interested in seeing the paintings I do? It's mostly pet portraits but I have landscapes and things as well. If there's enough interest here I might post them or make a side account just for that.

I'm drawing Sonnet right now, a character I enjoyed a lot a few years ago, but looking at her now, I'm just not happy with her colour pallet. I'm thinking about changing it, but I was wondering if your sona's have evolved over the years or if their first design is all you can see them as now?

I just got back from a camping trip with my friends. It was so fun! I put up a tent all on my own and put it away without help too lol A first for me on both accounts! My dog also had a blast enjoying the sun and sniffing everything haha

I also had alcohol for the first time in 2 years and got very silly drunk, and had a lot of fun stoking the fire and keeping it burning bright too. Now all I need is to go swimming and my summer will have been great!

What do you need to do to feel like you've had a great summer?

I want to do more submissions like I did today, but I have very little inspiration for my own characters currently.

Hey everyone!!

So I've basically peaced-out on you all yet again! I sincerely did not plan to do that but some really REALLY shitty life events took place for me over the past month! WHERE TO BEGIN.

At the end of August 7 police officers literally BUSTED DOWN my door (door pieces everywhere, it was horrifying) threatened to kill my dog (they didn't thank fucking goodness) and then arrested my boyfriend! From there they continued to tear through everything I owned and only after a good half hour of being horrified did I learn they had a warrant to search for child porn!!! YEAH. :I

I have never been so afraid but it turns out, they found what they were looking for and he is now my ex. So that's been super shitty. I didn't have anywhere to go at first so I had to live with him and the fear and trauma of what all went down for a few weeks. I have never cried so much in my life. Now my parents are renovating their basement for me so I can have a room there. Luckily my sister has let me temporarily bunk with her. Since everything went down I've been trying to stay on top of my work and not spiral down into a dark depression. Luckily my hard work paid off and now I'll be supervisor for my team, the first good news in this whole shit-show, but it means heavy responsibility and less time for myself.

It has been a super messy break-up. He of course doesn't want me to leave but I know I have to because I'm extremely disgusted by him and his actions. He actively looked that stuff up all the time and managed to hide it from me. He constantly lied to me and ignored me, never bothering to try to act like a decent boyfriend and took advantage of my kind nature all the time, especially sexually. If I didn't want to do it he would continue to force the issue until I'd let him to shut him up. That wasn't fair to me. So now I'm free and I am ignoring his pleas for me to come back.

Oh and of course, now that I'm an eligible bachelorette again I have been told by my male friends that they wouldn't date me because I'm too "intimidating" which translates to: Too smart, too pretty, too successful oh and I like to tell jokes. I learned that when a guy says he likes a girl with a sense of humor that means he wants her to laugh at his jokes not tell her own. grr I know that's not all true but I'm sad and angry so I'm venting. (I didn't tell them about the drama in my life, they have no idea anything is wrong that way)

Anyway, I haven't started dating yet because I do need more time to heal, and one of the bonuses is I now have more time for myself. When I am able to move into my new room I should be able to draw what I want when I want so maybe you'll hear more from me. No promises of course because when I do that I tend to go radio silent lol

Thank you for reading and letting me vent, this isn't a "pity party" journal, just the first time I've been on a personal computer in almost two months so I figured it was time to let it all out.

Hey everyone, it's been a while! I don't like making excuses, but I do feel the urge to explain my absence.

So here's the scoop from the last 8 months:

-I got a job at an animation studio!
It has been insanely fun and time has flown, I honestly can't believe it's been so long already! If it wasn't for the seasons passing by or my other milestones I probably wouldn't believe it haha. The deal is I only get paid for the work I do though, so I spend a lot of nights working to earn the money I need to pay my bills.

-I started a weight loss and work out regimen and lost 30 pounds since April!!
It has been extremely rewarding to work out and see my body change for the better. I still have 20 pounds to go to reach my goal, but I'm close! I work out 3 evenings a week at least and I never skip a Monday!

-My best friend adopted a new dog!
I've been helping her with training after work a lot because she has a lot to learn. Both are learning very quickly!

-My little brother had his first baby! <3
I've been enjoying being an auntie and seeing him on the weekends :3

-I've been keeping on top of chores for the first time ever!
For once my house smell nice when I come home and I always have clean clothes ;A; It takes some dedication but I feel grown up lol

So, my life has been pretty fun/busy but it hasn't left a lot of time for art on the side. Since my last post I've only managed to doodle for my self maybe 3 times tops, maybe less. I honestly can't recall finding the time over the winter.

There is good news however! Work has gotten a little easier for the time being so I'm going to use the spare time in the evenings to draw again, and I think I've developed a method that gets art done faster with decent looking results. I'd love to pour hours into my work but I just can't afford to any more. I had to develop a method that's more efficient, but I think you'll like it!

Two more updates:

-Raffle prizes are still in the works (sorry they're so late but they're free so it kind of evens out! ^^; )
-I will be posting more adult work! I was afraid to before but now I'm like, fuck it, I want to post what I like so yup. This page is no longer family friendly! (that's a joke because it never was lol)

Anyway I finished a picture tonight of a raunchy nature but I'll be posting it tomorrow because it's late and I want to write a story to go with it :3

I just didn't feel the same way about old school Joe as I do about the Wii guy but HOLY BALLS I AM IN LOVE.

So I was hired on as an animator/clean-up artist at a really cool local studio and this has been my first week!

I LOVE it so far but when I get home I'm pretty wiped for energy. In school all I wanted to do after a long day of animating was to draw some more so I'm just adjusting to the pacing again. Soon enough I'll be drawing like a crazy person!

So stuff is in the works but I just thought I would keep everybody posted! I have not forgotten about you and I am not ignoring you! Just a little busier than I thought.

Weird side note, my legs are really sore after a long day of animating (aka sitting on my ass) while my last job was very movement intense and my legs would feel fine. Should I start working out so my legs don't die? Lol

Oh another random note, yes I am an animator but no I will not sell animations as a commission option lol. I'm working on a 5 second scene right now that will earn me $230 dollars. I've spent 2 days on it so far and it's not something I would be willing to offer for sale. It's time consuming for me and if I want to be paid properly it will be highly expensive for you. So, yeah, just thought I would mention haha
