In reecent events I have been threatened by the owner of this site, blahblahblah.

Long story short I'm gonna be banned for calling Sciggles out on shit, soooooo, yea. I'll be jumping to Inkbunny, and possigly SoFurry. I've been hearing very good things with them both, and I wouldn't mind lurking around there to see how it fares.

As for my watchers, just wanna say I never thought to get as many, and even some have watched me purely for having the balls for not holding back. As for who I watched, uuuuuuuuuuuh, meh, no idea.

i really don't get this. i haven't posted about it, but if you're a member of furocity i'm sure you've noticed that the site has been redirecting to sofurry, inkbunny, sofurry.beta and other sites. there was no news from any admins or from gavin about what was going on, and apparently gavin was 'without power' and could not comment. members were confused and thought the site has been hacked. but no, turns out what was happening was much more ridiculously childish.

i bet you've heard that all of the furocity staff members left in a huff. and before this, i was all for them? but now seeing how stupidly gavin acted i'm really not sure who's at fault here. as a result of the FC/FA merger failing, gavin SO WISELY decided that he was going to redirect his website to a different furry art site and shutdown his website. without TELLING FUCKING ANYONE!!!!!!! HE JUST CASUALLY SHUTS THE FUCK DOWN AND REDIRECTS!!

he was even CONSIDERING redirecting furaffinity to a different website too (way to go, you big bad adult, you! that's totally called for!). this guy has turned into a big joke. if he doesn't regret this now i'm sure he will later because he's become the laughing stock of everyone who knows about this situation. my favorite part in all this is how he blamed his power for not being able to inform the members of his website and just shutting down, taking the thousands of character profiles and artwork down with him. and yet, he was CONSTANTLY CHANGING WHAT THE SITE REDIRECTED TO! so there goes his excuse for being unable to make a statement.

i'm seriously pretty appalled by this situation. never before have i seen a site owner act like such an unprofessional and cowardly BRAT just because he couldn't get his way with a merger? oh, things didn't work out as planned, WAHHH I'M GONNA SHUT MY SITE DOWN FOREVER WITHOUT TELLING ANYBODY, THAT'LL SHOW FURAFFINITY! you know, i've questioned the FA staff before this, but we gotta give them credit. they never did anything this retarded.

I just learned that today, almost every admin from furocity has STEPPED DOWN DUE TO SECURITY ISSUES AND RETARDED ADMINISTRATION.

The latter is obvious, but SECURITY ISSUES? Leaking of unauthorized information?

Fuck this shit man, as soon as I figure out how furocity works I'm packing my bags and getting the fuck out of here.

There have been journals popping up that involve artists complaining about how their customers are as dumb as ricks and how they don't know how to commission, and I've talked to friends who complain about artists that are total fuckwads when it comes to doing good business. Plus I've seen a lot of guidelines by artists that put down their customers and assume they're all twits

I got annoyed by this because at least 2/3s of the complaining isn't because of the customer, but rather the artist. So why not write something up to be (hopefully) used as a guideline to not lose potential profit.



1) Don't be fucking lazy
If it is some giant ass piece with an insane amount of detail, then sure, it'll take a bit of a while to get it done, bu if you're taking longer than needed, or you're bantering around doing nothing, it's only going to piss off your customer and chances are you'll end up losing him/her.

2) Don't be snobby
You ask us to be polite, but you have to understand it's not a one way thing. If you treat us like utter crap, then obviously it's going to make us uncomfortable about buying from you.

3) Do not overcharge
No this isn't about bitching about giant ass prices with some artists. This is about getting what we pay for. There are people who will seriously charge +$100 for mediocre work when you can get even better quality for less than 1/4 the price. It's really messed up and even if you fully show the market what you're giving them, that is no excuse to be a twit and charge assloads of money for a polished turd. I know you have to pay bills, but so do we.

4) Be clear about your ToS
That means having it easily found and easy to READ. If we have to jump from hoop to hoop to find what you will and will not draw, or to find out what sort of fine print you have behind what we pay for, then yell at us for not reading your terms that are apparently almost impossible for us to find, then why bother?


5) Let us see what the hell you're doing
Some artists assume that we're all Shakespeare and can use words to paint images in our head. Sadly that's not the case. We want to see stages at least, so that way if you fuck something up, you don't need to do it all over again and end up pissing you off. This bit is for your state of mind, and our patience.

Now that I got your attention, I know you guys give free money to people who ask, so can anyone buy me a large Sausage pizza? I'm hungry :C
