Rant about an artist
Posted 4 years agoI don't usually do this, but there is a good reason for me to do so. I wouldn't do this, if the artist at least sorted this out with me, but since they just blocked me, I want to make this public to warn people. This is just my personal opinion and experiences, everyone can do what they want, but I found this behavior extremely unfair and will stop supporting the artist.

I've been supporting them on patreon for quite a while and telling by the chats, group calls and games we've played together I considered us friend, which they didn't (that's not the issue here). But now that I lost my job and can't continue my pledge for a while, they asked me to leave their discord server (even though the pledge was still ongoing) and even though two of their friends who did not pledge at all could stay in the server. That and the fact that they refused to give me the patreon rewards they owe me (they said I wouldn't have claimed them and that way they would be gone) made me feel disappointed. I'm also disappointed that someone I wanted to support doesn't seem to really care about this. I do agree that I have been a bit too emotional over this topic, but if they wanted to be professional as they didn't ever considered me a friend, they would have had to at least fulfil the reward.
They just blocked me when I told them my personal opinion on this topic and didn't act professionally. It's just unfair to treat someone who had supported you for so long like this and I regret spending time on this.
