However, I have good news in that I am finally in abut the best place, physically and emotionally, that i have been in quite a while.

This is just going to be a short and sweet little "i'm still alive" because I'm about to fall asleep and I would hate to just start posting random gibberish lol. Miss you all and cant wait to get back on and back involved and interacting with all of you wonderful furry folk.

SO... I have been pretty quiet on here seeing as my last journal was for FWA '13. Most of it is because of a job that, while I loved, kept me busy 10-12 hrs 5-6 days a week. I use the past tense not because I have lost the job or been fired. Here is where my life has taken some twists recently. I want to preface this by saying I list these happenings for your information only. It is the hand I have been dealt and many are worse off than I so please don't think I am complaining or thinking I am worse off than anyone.

Around July 16th, I had to have my boss come pick me up and drive me to the doctor because I was suddenly suffering a significant loss of equilibrium. Not dizziness but a lack of balance. My job involves Driving a company vehicle and being anywhere from a basement to 25+ feet up a telephone pole. I was referred to a neurologist who through testing discovered that I suffer from Demyelinating Diffuse Peripheral Neuropathy. Basically my brain send the signal and my muscles do what they need to but because of ongoing damage to the sheathing of the peripheral nerves, the impulse gets where its going after its expected. Think of the orchestra of muscles and perfectly timed motions required to perform even simple tasks and you can see how this could be a problem. So since then I have been on short term disability while the doctors try to find out if I have the hereditary (non reversible and non treatable) or inflammatory (treatable) form. Either way, the likelihood of me returning to field work is fairly slim. Thanks to disability law I am not worried about having a position but I am ready to get back to work because I am going crazy sitting at the house.

All of this has cause a great deal of stress to my body which has cause my GI tract (I have Crohn's disease) to go crazy and honestly give me more daily distress then the neurological issues.

So there we are. Just wanted to let everyone who would be interested in knowing know what was going on with me.

I also wanted to share this as a prelude to a thought I would like you to consider...


Too many of us think of the disabled as those with "in your face" disabilities. Life has seen fit to give me two conditions that if you passed me on the street, you would never suspect anything unless you spent a few hours with me. Just think about that as you go about your life. Just another reason for us all to look out for eachother

I am back in the hospital again. Oddly enough it has nothing (as far as we know) to do with my crohns disease. During the day at work today I felt what I thought was a cram in my left side under the ribcage. It grew all day until the slightest bump in my work truck made me scream involuntarily in pain. Got off work And headed to the ER. After two hefty pain shots and a cat scan, the doc decided to admit me and run more test. At this point we don't really know anything so your thoughts and well wishes would be greatly appreciated.

These look pretty neat, so I figured I'd do one too

~Step 1~

Hey y'all,

So i am sitting here in the comfort of my hospital bed once more. Yes i Made the trek back to the ER today thinking i was having another Crohns flareup. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be something totally new!!! Looks like i have managed to develop Pancreatitis or inflammation of the pancreas. Basically I am having lots of pain in my abdomen and getting to enjoy not being able to eat until this is over

Anywho, just wanted to let you guys know and remind everyone to not take their health for granted!!

Anywho, ha to go to the ER last night. Long story short (because I keep passing out from the pain meds). I found out I have shingles and so ill be dealing with that for the next week or so. With proper nods to the leadership of the BFG, this is the final word on the issue of the "furry Vulcan".

1. Most importantly, there is no IP or copyright issue here. The statue and myth of Vulcan have been around for longer then the combined ages of those concerned and those who aren't. It is in the public domain and therefore, anyone laying claims to it is delusional and just plain retarded.

2. No matter who thought of it first, the BFG will be developing it as a logo and the reason can be found in point one.

3.The fur who started all of this should be ashamed and honestly embarrassed of his behavior over the matter. His talk of this ethereal production company and their desire to meet and work something out to prevent damage to some mysterious project is utter ridiculousness. I don't care who it is... SEE POINT ONE!!

4. There will be no sit down and there will be no change in the pursuits of the BFG. Anyone thinking that Myself, EdwardSebastian or Cana256 are going to take time from our already overloaded lives to "discuss" a non issue is delusional and mentally inadequate.... Just for the hell of it... SEE POINT ONE!!!

Just a quick update for those who may have wondered where I have disappeared too. I am starting my 3rd week in the hospital. I have been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and had a major surgery to remove the inflamed bowel this past Wednesday. Not sure when i am getting gout of the hospital or when I will be able to return to work.
