I always have friends begging me to come visit them during a con. Why is that? Why not just have me come visit when I can stay the entire week? I don't really understand why people find cons so fun. I've never really enjoyed them. The panels are largely uninteresting, and I don't like that I basically pay $40 so I can go to a furry market to spend more money.

What am I missing about cons that make them fun? o:

Sorry to all the people who keep messaging me and I don't respond. I've been signing in while I do homework, then get so engrossed in my homework that I fail to look through my IM conversations. I also keep clicking into an IM window, reading it, then getting distracted before I respond.

I hover between super irritable and super sentimental. Like, if something goes wrong it turns into a two hour rampage (well, I always do that, but still). If something goes right, I get super teary and am I all, "Ohmagawd dis amazing yesssss ah lurv you~"

It's a shitty client, it's got a shitty API on Linux, and it has absolutely no API on Android. I'm sick of it crashing out Pidgin, and I refuse to run the shitty native client. If I have you exclusively on Skype, I'm sorry, but I'm considering just uninstalling it and saying fuck it. :1 Find me some other way or just fuck it, but I'm sick of people blindly running shitty software.

Seriously. D: There are four types of artists that have emerged in the last year, and they all suck.

1) STREAMING!!!1one
I HATE artists that make you commission them while they're streaming. It's cool to stream your queue because it's somewhat of a novelty to be able to see the artist draw your picture, but it's a novelty because it's optional. I don't have time to sit through your ENTIRE stream and hope I can get your attention.

2) Bajillion Year Waiting List
It irritates me when an artist has a year-long commission waiting list, because it leaves you with two options: Don't commission them, or wait forever on their list so that you can finally get a commission at the exact moment you can't afford it. :|

3) Form Whores
Oh my god I'm so sick of seeing, "Fill out this really convoluted form, then email me with this and this and this and this and this and this, then, if I approve you, fill out this form to get onto my queue." NOPE. I'm a customer, not a gymnast. :| NOT JUMPIN THROUGH YOUR HOOPS.

4) 2 Slots
It's been a really big trend now to open a mere two slots that fill up in two seconds, and it's even more common than those slots to cost more than a new computer. :1 I get that furries are poor because they use disposable income that they don't have, but dammit people, stop wasting all your money and causing inflation in the FA economy. MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE REST OF US. Save your money for rent so you don't have to beg for money at the end of each month or something. I dunno, just a suggestion~

Oh god, fuck my life, I think I blocked this one out of my mind until the commenters forced me to remember it. UGH. This ties into jumping through hoops. I hate when artists hold auctions for all their commissions, because they're never clear on how to use the auction, or it requires signing up for another website (which is a waste of everyone's time). There's also a level of entitlement that irritates me with this kind of thing, because it makes it seem like your art is so special that it deserves a huge price hike and a huge fight. IRRITATING. :|

Then of course we have the artists that kinda suck but you don't want to offend them, and the artists that you're gambling with commissioning because they're notorious for not finishing, but those have always been around.

I just want a decent picture that I don't have to backflip to get to and don't have to pull out a mortgage to afford. ;w;' THAT TOO HARD?!

On the plus side, I'm so excited that I'm gonna have my car this semester, even if I do have to walk forever to get to the lot where it's parked and have to worry about starting it enough. It's seriously well worth it. It makes you feel so landlocked without a car. <3

If there's one group of people I hate, it's district attorneys. They take their jobs way too seriously, at the cost of fucking over common sense in place of enforcing idiotic and ill-founded laws. Innocent people get so fucked over because of DA's who don't understand proportionate punishment. It's ridiculous how much power they have, especially when they're ignorant, heartless fucks who entirely disregard common sense. I'm sorry, but common sense does have it's place in law.

In Aaron Swartz's case, I would have committed suicide too if some DA had a stick up her ass and was levying insanely unreasonable charges against me. Why the hell do insane assholes like Carmen Ortiz have the weight of the government behind them? She's had a history of disproportionate charges, so why is she still in power? The American legal system is so fucked up, but we're such a slow moving nation that we'll probably topple over before we even get 1% of the way to fixing it. There's a reason Europe makes fun of us. Most Americans don't believe in evolution, most disregard global warming even though it's been proven time and time again, and we have the most fucked up medical care of any country ever, which was refuse to acknowledge and freak out when anyone proposes a band-aid, let alone a solution. We don't like change, even though we're fundamentally broken.

So I finally saw both Wreck-It Ralph and saw Brave.

WHEN DID DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS BECOME MILES BETTER THAN PIXAR?! XD Seriously WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!

Wreck-It Ralph was fucking fantastic. I loved it, and I never love Disney movies. The last Disney movie I loved (or even liked) was Lilo & Stitch. I was blown away by Wreck-It Ralph and was wholly surprised at how well they pulled the world off. Also, Jane Lynch <33333333333

So... Brave. Pixar is dead. :v

I've already seen Brother Bear and was disappointed by how bad that was in contrast to how pretty the visuals were, so I really didn't need to see another movie that did the exact same thing. The plot sucked, the characters sucked, the world sucked, the character models sucked, and the only thing good about it was that the world, although somewhat stale, was very pretty. I was not impressed. Pixar died. They peaked at WALL-E, then started going sharply downhill (except for Toy Story 3 <3). It's sad to see a studio going so hard downhill. And no, I didn't dislike Brave because I expected a better movie from Pixar, I disliked it because I thought it was shallow and wholly unlikable.

But, yeah, sad to see Pixar sucking, but great to see Walt Disney Animation Studios start to pull out of their slump. o: Hopefully we continue to see good things coming from them, and hopefully Pixar gets back on track.

They're discontinuing it in favor of Skype. So, anyone who has me on Windows Live, add me on something else. I will not sign into it anymore.

Also. I want people to know my feelings on Skype. You can add me to Skype, but they don't have a Skype API available for Android or Linux, and frankly I despise the default Skype client for anything other than video chatting, so if you add me on there, don't expect me to be around much. If I am online with Skype, Skype likes to not notify me of new messages since their API kind of sucks, so if I don't respond, sorry. Not my fault. :U Go yell at Papa Microsoft.

After a long and epic battle, I got Linux Mint working. Of course, the first thing I did was go into Terminal and make it print "poop" endlessly.

And thus Linux Mint > Windows.

My neighbor in my dorm wubs quite loudly, and so, on this eve we have engaged in battle. :U His wubs were mighty, but, alas, his wubs were no match for my metal.

The power of metal defeats all wubs. If you like your wubstep, be very afraid.

(What's worse is that it's his birthday, but his dubstep was so annoying that battle was a must. >:C)

I was seriously one of few people who dressed up. :v My classmates looked at me like I was a weirdo when I walked in with paws and a tail on, although I don't think it's because they knew I was a furry. I think it was because they thought I was weird for dressing up.
