Hi everyone!
Just wanted to ramble a bit :') I've had a pinched nerve in my neck for a week now and it's definitely having an effect on work ahh o(-( I can't keep taking painkillers everyday, yet I also can't keep taking breaks while i work because it kills the momentum and it takes longer to get things done, so I've been slower than I'd like to be + have also been busy with irl things ahh

I'm hoping it won't come to that and that the pain will go away soon, but if it continues I might have to halt work for a week or two :( ofc if it gets to that, I'll make sure to notify everyone who's waiting, but for now I wanna try and push through a little more to at least finish what I'm currently working on, otherwise I'll never see the day where my queue is emptied KJFDSK


Anywho, I reached 600 watchers!! As always, you all know how thankful I am for all the support and I have no words to express it anymore.. just a lot of positive, happy feelings <3

I meant to write this days ago but I've been quite busy enjoying my vacation :'D

Happy new year to all of you! I started mine off with a bang by getting horribly sick jfdhsk i'm currently sitting here with a stuffed nose and a terrible headache :') I hope I'll be recovered enough to get back to work on commissions on the 6th kfjddskfj

As for this year's goals.. hm! I'm not too sure. I feel like I achieved what I wanted to achieve last year (ko-fi with memberships, less commissions and more adopts), so I'm not really sure on what I'd want this year to be like :'3 of course, I wish to improve my art further, but that'll happen naturally dkfsj

So! I guess, other than that, I wish to get to 1000 watchers :) It's an ambitious goal, so I'll settle for smaller milestones like 600/700 first skdfjhd 500 would be amazing too!

And additionally, I wish to have a more interactive community! I want to be seen as more than just an adopt maker (please don't take this as me allowing you to be weird in dms lmao), someone to have friendly chats with sometimes!

Perhaps I'll even consider making a discord server for people who'd like to keep up with my art&adopts outside of FA.


All in all, I hope this year will be better. It's starting off a little rough ngl, but I hope it'll get better at some point!

I've bought stardew valley and I've been playing with my partner :) it's fun so far! very cozy, very cute ehehe I think taking a break from commissions has been the healthiest decision I could make this year :3

If you've ever commissioned me or gotten an adopt from me, I'd like to ask to please not upload my art on X to avoid it being scraped for AI, or at the very least if you Have to, I urge you to use protective tools such as glaze or ArtShield!
I'll probably add this to my ToS as well ejksdh

Overall this journal is meant as a reminder to please be respectful to artists and our work and to help us avoid the stupid AI stuff going on :') and hopefully to remind you that if you uploaded commissioned art (in general, not just from me) on X, now's the time to take it down and protect it :(

Lots of end of the year thinking going on here!

I think I really want to try doing more auctions next year, somehow they're never really successful for me and I think it's because I built my following around flat sales, so people don't feel like it's worth it to bid on something they may not get?
Don't really know the logistics behind that :')
But yeah, possibly more auctions ^^


Another plan that's more on the back burner for when I'll get a bigger following is to possibly set up a patreon with patreon-exclusive designs, but I'd say it's way too early to even consider that at this point :') still a long ways to go!

And this is more of a scolding to myself: really need to stop lowering prices when something isn't selling and instead I should just leave it and make a new design. I really don't want people to think that if they wait long enough the design they like will be priced below its original worth :') it gets frustrating when something doesn't sell, especially during tough times, however that shouldn't mean I should settle for less than I intended just to get the design out of the way... doesn't make it feel worth it considering my original full body prices are above 100€ o(-(

Other than that, I've been looking at a lot of different cool artists' journeys on this platform and it really inspires me to keep going and to not give up. I feel like personally I'm doing quite well so far, but there's always gonna be space for improvement and it makes me excited to see what the future has in store for me :)
