Fresh Furries on the comeback! Part Deux
Posted 10 years agoSo the Fresh Furries comeback was a success. The night was amazing, the people loved us, and the company definitely wants us at the main event.
Here's the breakdown:
On May 8th 2015, Fresh Entertainment is throwing Hardstyle Arena.
They want us to be there to mingle and perform with the crowd. Expected attendance will be over 3000 if history serves as an example.
We will be given:
- Our own space
- Our own water
- Our own pizza
- Our own T-Shirts
All free of charge with backstage access so we can catch a break from the crowd.
This invitation goes out to all energetic fursuiters who like to entertain.
They even want us on stage for a part of this if possible. Now I know cons and what not offer good photo opportunities, but this will be fursuiting to the power of 11.
If you are interested and can make it (DO NOT RSVP unless you are sure you can attend)
Please let me know in the RSVP comment in the journal below. Those who attended promo are guaranteed a spot. Space is limited, but I'll get in who I can.

Posted 10 years agoHey my furry friends, I had made an announcement a few weeks ago, and I apologize for the lack of a journal sooner. Work has been full throttle lately and I finally got a break.
That said, here it comes for the rest of you.
Fresh Entertainment (An event company specializing in EDM festivals) is throwing Fresh Anniversary again. Last time the event had around 15,000 people in attendance. A while back, they had a group of fursuiters show up and interact with the crowd. The response was massively positive and we were well taken care of for the duration of the event.
They want it to happen again.
This time, they want furries on stage and roaming interacting, but with even more marketing. So if you like to perform in front of crowds, now is your chance.
What's the catch? Well they want furries to promote an event May 2nd (location TBD) for the event ahead of time. This is will be a requirement to attend the main event (which will be free for you. Their own promoters have to work much harder for such perks).
So if you are interested in joining, I need your fursona name, a recent picture of your fursuit, and a heads up on if you'd feel comfortable dicking around on a stage with over 5000 people watching.
Again, our own closed off space, water, and attendants will be provided by the company. They made good on their offer last time, I know they will be great to us again this time.

So the promo location will be in San Bernadino. I know this is far, but the company has already said that if we get eight fursuiters going, they wiil
comp gas and potentially shuttle us. If anyone is willing to act as a shuttle as well, let me know and we'll figure out how much gas money you will need. The main event will be held at the Pico Rivera sports arena.

SCV gathering fundraiser and BBQ honoring Vex. UPDATE

There has been an updated chance of rain Sunday thats lookin pretty strong. First off let me assure everyone that unless cars start floating away, I'm doing this. If the BBQs get rained out, pizza it is. The plus side is that the park area were going to has a very permanent structure over it that could easily cover 30 or 40 people. Just make sure to dress warm as it will be around the 50's that day. Toodles.

On Sunday 03/25/2012 a bunch of us are getting together at the SCV Heritage park in Valencia to both help raise funds for Serpy's efforts to get home with Vex's remains and honor Vex's influence on all of us. We ask that you bring a donation of at least a dollar (100% of which will be going to Tiberius' collections directly) to the party. Food will be hosted to everyone as a thank you to everyone who comes to honor Vex. If you want to bring food as well, that would be appreciated (as well as party supplies such as plates, plastic cutlery, charcoal and other supplies).

I'm curious to hear what topics you guys would like to hear about if you were to listen to a podcast. Also if anyone would like to cohost it with me, Ustreams cohosting features make it easy for you to join in from the comfort of your favorite chair. So let me know if theres something you think you could bring to the podcast to make it amazing. Other than that I appreciate any feedback you guys might have and ill be starting next week with goals for episodes every 2 weeks.

Addressing an issue at FC.

Got Con Crud YAY.
Now that thats over, there's been some talk about an issue that arose between me and member of FC "Staff" whos level of authority I dont know. I wont mention names.
However I will explain what happened.
Me and several others were heading up to a room due to me wanting to get something with sugar in it. It isn't uncommon for me to become dizzy and disoriented when deprived of food for too long. We were waiting at an elevator when the individual in question blocked the door and told us
"He was ordered not to let anyone board the elevator."
This lift was practically the first one to come in five minutes, so I was quite relieved.
(This person actually said in their journal that they were ordered to take it down to the lobby. Funny seeing as how it was headed up.)
The first thing I said afterwards was
"Well this is a medical emergency, so I need to get on."
While the grade of the emergency was low, every minute I started feeling worse. This person claimed I was drunk. I had been drinking, but moderately.
That person then decided to tell me "Okay only you." At which point I mentioned that I wanted my friends to assist me.
(Nothing says moronic like sending someone who's feeling dizzy up alone.)
What happened next shocked me.
He actually had the audacity to tell me "Then next time you fucking tell me that. You don't fucking wait two minutes."
Now I don't know where this person learned to count, but it was about ten seconds, sounds reasonable to me.
We arrive, it was over.
The next day this person approached me in the hall and began to reprimand me saying that "Medical Emergency should have been the first two words out of my mouth."
This is a fair statement... So I simply replied.
"You shouldn't ever drop F bombs at guests, and if you ever drop the F bomb at me again, Ill go so far up staff with a complaint you wont be able to find your own ass."
I meant every word.
There is no reason to curse at someone, even if you are ASSUMING they are drunk unless things get so heated you can't control yourself. If that was too heated of a situation, this person should have resigned.
This same person went online and has told people I "threatened him" that "I was too drunk" and that "Next time he's calling the paramedics in the elevator doorway."
If there is one thing I can't stand for, its a pile of lies. I had less than 6 drinks up to that point over several hours and I didn't threaten him
