I will do some fanart... I wanted to on the actual date, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT I didn't have time because I spent from early noon to midnight standing in lines. Lots and lots of lines. A line outside the Nintendo World store in New York freezing my nonexistent balls off for five hours, a line on the ground floor of the store itself to go upstairs, a... not really line but more like dense crowd to get to the Pokemon goods, and then another line to get to the register. And for what? A pair of free posters. I was promised ACTIVITIES! I got none of that. I didn't even get the Pikachu visor or stickers I saw everyone else with. Apparently shopping was the incredible activities. Though this might've just been because I got there hella late thanks to the line being a FIVE-HOUR LONG WAITING LINE. Apparently Nintendo didn't expect this big of a turnout, but HOW DARE THEY UNDERESTIMATE THE QUANTITY OF LOSER NINETIES KIDS THERE ARE OUT THERE WHO HAVE BEEN WITH POKEMON FOR TWENTY-FUCKING YEARS NOW! How dare they. Oh well. At least I got some more cards and a kick-ass pose-able Mega Rayquaza plushie to guard the headboard of my bed...

Anyway, so, to commemorate Pokemon's 20th anniversary, suggest to me some Pokemon to doodle up! Preferably not the typical ones, though... Like the dreaded Eeveelutions or Lucario or Suicune or Ninetales or... y'know... dogs and foxes since that's the only thing people care about when it comes to Pokemon...
I never really got that. "Don't base Pokemon off of NOT animals! DDDD:" but really, all people seem to want even with animals is dogs and foxes. Could we maybe not? I like swords and keys and chandeliers and cake and ice cream and mythological beasts. I would LOVE to see more of all that, so I have some high-ass hopes for Sun & Moon, like damn! I mean, not that it's a bad thing... she's serving in the military, active now, and I think that's really great, but... She's gonna be too busy to talk to 'cept on weekends maybe. Work sucks, I have zero motivation to do anything, and I've been overly anti-social because I've pretty much chilled with her for most of my time. I know that probably sounds unhealthy, but like... it was fine with me. But now I'm gonna have nobody that I regularly talk to. And like, it's finally sinking in, like I didn't really think about it until now. I mean, I did, but not like this. This just... wow, it really sucks!

I've been having a really rough time. I'm stressed out, depressed, can't seem to vent anything out and actually feel satisfied afterwards... I hope my drawing spirit comes back soon, but... I dunno. So forgive me for the severe lack of art lately. I'm just not in a good place mentally right now.

I already don't eat when I know I should. I don't even shower that often unless I'm going somewhere. I'm apparently showing a ton of signs of someone in deep depression and I didn't even know it, and now I FEEL like I'm in a deep depression. What the hell does a person even do about this?

It was having some strange connection issues, so I tried restarting it... and then it wouldn't connect at all to the internet... so I tried to scan it with malwarebytes, but it's outdated, can't update because I can't connect, and didn't detect anything 'cause it's out of date. So I'm trying to system restore it, and it's just sitting on the "System Restore is initializing" screen... and has been for fifteen minutes. :( I don't know what to do! Should I forcibly restart it or will that damage something since I started a system restore?? Fuck! I don't have the kind of money to have this professionally fixed! What do I do? Has anyone else had this problem?

I'll be the first to admit that I do not take well to having my art critiqued. I really don't wanna hear someone else tell me something's wonky or whatever. Usually, if something's wrong with something, I probably already know and really feel shitty when it's pointed out, so please don't. I tend to argue with those who offer critique, too, so to avoid arguing with other people and making people hate me for it, it'd be best for everyone if you kept negative outlooks on my art to yourself. I know, it might be hard to resist pointing out something that looks off, but ALL art has flaws, EVERY piece of art has at least something off about it, and I really don't want mine pointed out to me 'cause, chances are, I already noticed it... and if I haven't, it's because I feel that part looks fine or I did something a certain way on purpose.

I'm sorry... I don't want this to come off sounding really catty, but I get really self-conscious and really annoyed about critique. I'll learn from my own mistakes, I don't need somebody pointing them out and adding salt to the wound, okay?

If I really want critique or advice, I usually ask the artists I look up to, the artists I'm striving to be as good as because they have the skills I want (clearly, since I look up to them). If I'm not asking you for your criticism, then chances are... I don't want your criticism. :(

And I'm especially touchy about people critiquing art that was done for somebody else. If it's artwork for me personally, it's not quite as much of an issue, but if someone's sitting there telling me how they think I should've done a commission, a gift, or a trade differently or that something looks wonky, it actually really bothers me, and I lose confidence in my ability to do artwork for other people. In fact, critique makes me lose confidence in my art period, but more-so critique on pieces for other people.

So please... just don't. If you think something doesn't look right, good for you, but please keep that to yourself because I either thought it looked fine and now feel like crap 'cause you told me otherwise, or I already noticed that it didn't look right and really don't need it reiterated for additional insult to injury. Please respect my wishes, and thank you.

Had a death in distant family, so I was busy for the last week with things.

I'll be posting more art soon, just kind'a need'a take a breather. Between finally having to "grow up" I guess and start working towards my actual career and then all of the efforts to commemorate and memorialize the man who died, I feel really whiped out. Haven't even been able to do much work on my latest commission, so I'm like... wehhhh.

I'm being pressured to take on responsibilities I've never had before, and even though I'm not ready for it, nobody gives a shit and keeps telling me to suck it up.. and maybe that works for other people, but I have to do shit at my own pace. People pressuring me just makes me get depressed and not do anything at all 'cause I'm too busy worrying about how I can't do it yet.
