Yaaaaay, the police have found him!

His access to the internet's been cut off, his devices he's been using to get onto it have been taken away, his parents have been made aware of his actions and are all for helping to prevent them, and he's been threatened with prosecution should he continue to steal and harass in spite of all the measures taken to prevent it!

So, um.. I have a situation.

I finished the commission I said I wouldn't finish in my last journal, surprise surprise, and while my client liked it... I didn't initially make them pay up-front because I didn't know if I would even be able to finish it. I'd already kind of assumed it might be a flop, but since it wasn't, I of course wanted payment after completion.

So I noted the person, told them what to send, and asked if they'd inform me when they sent it. Three days went by and heard nothing from Paypal or my commissioner. I note them again and ask if they had a date of which they thought they might send payment... only to get back, "I already sent it." Meanwhile, here I am with nothing.

Either my client is lying, said they sent money and didn't and just want to rip me off... or they mis-typed the email address when sending it to me... or something to that effect, I suppose. They simply haven't looked at my response note, and it's been another two days.... So um..

How do you guys deal with a shitty client who either won't pay or won't fix a problem with payment? I already know now to be paid upfront no matter what the case, so you don't have to advise me to do that. I already plan on it. -_- But if you have, y'know, any advice for getting this sort of thing taken care of... please share. ;A;

I can't draw porn. I can't. I'unno. I suck. Whatever. I can't do this. Never doing another NSFW piece again because I'm just not good at it. Nope.

Interactions are hard enough as is, but then having to position everything to show off shit between the legs and bfdijkhlcfgh I can't. I'm not that good. I don't draw NSFW stuff enough to be good at it. I don't think I'll ever be okay with doing it on commission, either, because it will never turn out satisfactory to me. I feel fucking sick right now, that's how frustrated I am.

Why is it so hard to draw sex? I don't fucking get it...

Sorry. I can't do it. It looks fucking awful. I might be able to do it tastefully where stuff's not expected to be shown, but that's it. Sorry for anyone who ever wants to commission full-on exposed sex pieces, but I can't do it, and I will decline commissions like that from now on, more than likely. I tried, it sucked, I didn't even get everything past the sketches before I realized it just wasn't happening. Maybe it's because of the frustration, but leaving it alone and coming back to it when I'm calmed down isn't gonna change the fact that none of the poses and scenarios look okay and that I'd probably have to redo them again... and again... and again... before anything starts to look even remotely okay. And I'm not willing to do positions like twenty times and only get paid for a final product that took ten times the amount of work I normally have to do to push out a piece. Sorry, not happening.

Not that I get commissioned frequently anyway, and I feel like shit because I'm having to back out of one for this reason despite how badly I need money, but I just can't do this type of work. I'd been procrastinating on this latest piece as is, and when I finally felt confident, I tried, and everything looks like ass. So I'm not gonna be doing this again. Art's supposed to be fun, not frustrating, and this was just god-awful. Like, I wanna crawl into a hole and cry until I fall asleep right now, that's how shitty I feel about this piece I tried to do.

For those of you interested in being kept posted about my issue with the art thief who continues to steal all manner of Night Fury / Toothless fanart and publish/attempt to profit from it, here's what's going on.

He continues to return with every deactivation / IP ban of his DeviantArt account, and I suppose there's nothing else DA can even do about it at this point. We just keep reporting and taking him down. The bad news is - he's attempting to stalk me on other art accounts of mine so he can continue to steal my art. I posted a journal on DA stating that I might leave DA for a while until this all blows over, and in response, he threatened to interrogate my watchers to find out where else I post art (such as here, Tumblr, Weasyl, etc.), and threatened to continue harassing me on those accounts as well as stealing and printing my art. While he hasn't found anything except my Tumblr (and he's not too bright, either, since my watermark has all my site urls on it as is), I don't want this to get any worse, so I'm taking some measures to prevent him from finding me through the images he's familiar with of mine.

He only seems to be familiar with the name of my Night Fury OC, which I'm not going to mention in the journal, lest he find it, and the username I have on DeviantArt which, thankfully, is mad old and needs to be changed so it doesn't match any of my other accounts. As such, I'm now no longer tagging any of those Night Fury pictures with the character's name. The harder it is to find me, the better.

But now, for the better news on the subject! We're homing in on where the guy lives. We have a possible first and last name, we've found out what state he lives in and a general area / township he may be in within said state. We've found a phone number, we've found where his parents live, and we've found a possible employer, too. One of us who's been stolen from has connections with the FBI, apparently, and has contacted the federal police in the thief's general area. They're searching for his complete information right now. Even better still, another of us who's been stolen from has successfully contact and gotten a response from DreamsWorks themselves. They're rather concerned about this guy since he's claiming Toothless/Night Furies to be his own creation and attempting to sell prints of artwork depicting things that're based on DreamWorks' original designs and thus attempting to profit from their material indirectly. DreamWorks can press charges and sue him dry, and with the power and resources they have, this'll no longer be a small case to the police. We're hoping we make some progress. We've gotten two responses, not just one, from DreamWorks, and they're asking for his information, so we'll be providing everything we know straight to the big guys of DreamWorks. If nothing else, the feds can get involved because, believe it or not, the thief has been stalking and threatening death / bodily harm to DeviantArt users... some of which are minors, and the mention of that seems to have sparked some actual action out of the police in his area.

We're hoping for the best! Wish me luck! Me and all the other victims. We're gonna take this guy down. If you wanna help us and you happen to have a DeviantArt, we're always looking out for more eyes that could keep a watch out for his new accounts (so they can be swiftly deactivated) and comments he makes to his victims depicting threats and stalker-ish behavior. The more screenshots we can get of this stuff, the easier it'll be to get him convicted and hopefully jailed so he'll knock it the hell off.

Due to the recent art theft, I watermarked all my original files with the intention of replacing the existing submissions in all of my galleries with the now watermarked ones, but Furaffinity doesn't seem to acknowledge when I replace a file on here. It's still showing the original piece with no watermark, not changing a damn thing, and the only way it seems to be possible to get all my watermarked files in here is to delete all of the ones I have and then re-upload everything as the new files. I really don't wanna do that 'cause it'll lose me all my favorites and comments and things, and it'll also spam everyone's inboxes with a flood of stuff they've already seen from me. Does anyone know how to fix this problem without having to go through all that?

There's been a guy going around DA, dodging IP bans, and stealing How To Train Your Dragon fanart, Night Fury fanart in specific, and posting as well as selling prints of the art. People are on high alert, and I'm trying to help move this process along because he's stolen from me, too.

He's deactivated his DA account(s) though will probably come back, but I have a list of his other sites he's on and posting art without permission of the artists. If you or anyone else wants to check them and report him for theft of any kind, visit each of these links.

He IS posting art illegally, he isn't crediting most of the time, either, and if you or anyone you know does HTTYD Night Fury fanart, it may very well be up on any one of those sites. I know mine is, so I would suggest giving it a look-through and reporting things you know are stolen.

This's kind of unrelated to art and more related to character issues, so feel free to click out of this if you don't, like... RP with your characters... and stuff.

So, like... I RP a lot with a portion of my characters. This one, in particular ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12688461/ ) I've had for yearrrrssss like years omg it's ridic how long I've had her for, my goodness.

Anyway, like... I'm really good with combat with her. I'm good in combat using creatures in general, but she's my number one for kicking ass and taking names. And lemme tell you, I was really kicking some ass lately. But you know how there's always that one person who doesn't think you could pull something off that you're pretty damn sure you could pull off flawlessly in a fight?

Yeah? Yeah. Well that happened.

I'll give you all the scenario, and you can judge for yourselves:
Razor (that's her name - and she's around the same size as a tiger) was hiding, she sprang out of the underbrush towards an NPC with a shield and a spear, the shield not being exceptionally big. She blocked spear jabs with the bill on her head like a shield, and she ran between his legs to knock him over and shove a bunch of detachable porcupine-like spines in his thighs, crotch, and rear.
She knocked him over, and emerged behind him still running.
A larger guy with a claymore sword some distance away was in her line of running.
He saw her knock over his spear guy and so he swang for her. Keep in mind she's running very low to the ground, limbs are already bent and ready for springing into a leap, and her head was low to avoid getting a face full of crotch just prior. And so she springs off when he swings horizontally with the blade edge aimed for the side of her head, which is being held very low.
She leaps over the blade to dive at his head and chest to use it as a springboard and keep on leaping behind him and run away into the forest behind.

Now, I set this up very carefully. It's not like I would leave much margin for error. If he managed to even cut her at all, it might've grazed her ankle, cut across the front of her foot, or potentially chopped off a toe. Even the guy I was fighting agreed that my maneuver was entirely possible...

BUT THE OWNER AND CREATOR OF THIS PARTICULAR RP SETTING who sets the rules, moderates the RP, etc. etc., didn't think what I did was possible! So she stopped my opponent from finishing his post about nearly missing and told him and me that my character's leg would probably have been completely severed.

How? I don't know. But completely severed. I got away with a deep wound that was so bad that she'd never hunt again, but I still don't even find that possible. It's not physically possible to chop the leg off of an animal who's in mid-leap, leaving their legs out straight behind them and literally parallel with the blade that was being horizontally swung from one side to the other. That's. Not. Possible. You can't cut something in half unless it's aimed to intersect, and it wouldn't have. The sword was low to the ground and being swung horizontally. There's no reason a big cat-esque creature couldn't just jump over it like a goddamn jump rope.

But apparently she doesn't think so. Apparently my logic is invalid. So, as the leader of the RP, her word is law, and even though everyone else agrees with me that my maneuver was perfectly doable, my character will never be a decent, hunting, functioning member of her society ever again. And I'm hella pissed 'cause I was cheated. Real' bad. gnfjdsklmh,

It is really annoying when someone who's unwilling to pay for an adopt tries to subtly guilt-trip you about it...

I mean, I already knew it was annoying, but I've never had it happen to me before, 'til now, and man, it really is obnoxious...
Not only was the person somewhat illiterate or just not fluent enough in English to a point where I couldn't really understand the entirety of one of their comments, but they went out of their way to post a really random, completely unrelated-to-the-adopt comment, and when I asked them what relevance it had to it, they mentioned that they were sorry but they were just very sad... because I wouldn't give them an adopt for free, basically.

Like no, wow, that's really pathetic. :/ I mean, I know very well about being on the "I can't afford something that I want" end, I certainly do, but I've never flat-out told an artist "Sorry, I'm just sad 'cause you're gonna charge for adopting such-and-such". Like yes, yes, people work hard on their adopts and deserve to be paid for their efforts! And why on earth would I want to give something I worked very hard on to someone who's guilt-tripping me about it for free!? Outrageous.

I never realized how bad that really was until someone did it to me, and just wow. I find myself not pitying the person at all. All I see is someone begging me for something because they don't wanna pay for it.. and so blatant about it, too. Like wow. They were trying to be subtle, but they only succeeded in very blatantly guilt-tripping me.

I'm going to massage therapy school now. Might've mentioned that before but, here, read it again! I'm almost finished with it, actually. Only about a hundred and fifty more hours before I can attempt to acquire my license to legally touch people all over their bodies.

Well no, I lied. I can sit for the test wheneverthefuck I want, but I can't actually receive my license even if I pass it prematurely until I've completed six hundred hours of body therapy schooling.

I'm currently proficient in full body deep tissue therapeutic massage... the first thing I learned... which is seventy-five minutes of me making people feel totally awesome while they lie practically or completely naked on a table for me. We were taught to put those electric heating blankets on our tables. Ooooo, warm.

I'm proficient in pretty basic reflexology - which is where I access every part of your body through your hands, your feet, and... your ears. Which, just so you know, are shaped like fetuses. This is supposed to help... do... something? I'unno, most people go get it because it focuses heavily on massaging of the feet. Mmmm, feet. But it's supposed to massage a lot more. There's this part where I jam my finger into your big toe to wake up your brain or something... don'taskforreflexologyever.


I'm proficient in Nuad Bo-Rarn - the traditional massage of Thailand. People also call it the martial arts of massage 'cause it's just yoga for lazy people who want me to put them into yoga positions and hold it for them while they get all the benefits of the stretch but don't get tired out holding it themselves. The practitioner, so I've experienced, tends to look like a martial artist dancing around and on top of the client while also folding them into a metaphorical pretzel. It's a lot of fun, but it's also a work out. I've also learned that staring at candles without blinking for as long as possible is probably damaging to my eyeballs. I won't be trying this form of meditation ever again.

Believe it or not, I'm also a stage two Reiki practitioner. I can magically heal you without touching you via energy of the universe (or whatever higher power you wanna believe in). I mean, I can touch you if I want, it'll make the experience a lot, uh... awesome-er, really, but I don't NEED to touch you for it to work. Soon enough, I'll be a Reiki MASTER and be able to teach other people how to do it. How kickass is that?

I've also become certified in CPR. I learned about AAAIIIIIDDDSSSSSS and HIV, as well as hepatitis... ew. And I've been re-taught a shitton of anatomy I probably didn't need to re-learn but found it too fascinating to pass up thus doing it anyway.

Have I mentioned my classes are kind'a, like, daycare for adults? "Now, who wants to lay on the table and get a massage!? It's okay if you take a nap, it's all just practice! After massage/nap time, we're all gonna meditate in a circle where we'll play some lovely piano music with birds chirping and ocean waves crashing in the background... and then it's lunch time!" <_< Yeah, that's... every class I take, just about.

BUT, THE POINT OF MY JOURNAL DOO-DAD IS THIS: Massage is actually a lot of hard work, and it kills my hands. Between juggling my very randomized classes and going out on five-hour train rides away to see my boyfriend for extended periods of time, well... I don't get a lot of time to draw (or the hand power to do so after hours of massaging). I'm still taking commissions... even though no one's interested in them >n>... But hey! The good news is that one of my massage teachers is hiring me in the near future to paint an underwater mural on the wall of her incoming grandchild! How sweet is that!? Needless to say, this is all why I haven't been posting a whole lot. Honestly, if people... commissioned me more... I'd probably put more out. ;n; But I know that's not how this business works, blergh. Anyway, later guys!
