Watership Down
Posted 9 years ago Richard Adams, author of Watership Down, passed away yesterday at the age of 96. I have genuinely loved Watership Down since I was rather young. It is a book I truly am sad when I reach the end of each time I read it, saddened that the magical journey has once again reached it's conclusion. I intentionally wait a few years between each reading to preserve its magic.
With Mr. Adams passing, I wanted to post the excerpt below, from the conclusion of the novel in memoriam:
You’ve been feeling tired,” said the stranger, “but I can do something about that. I’ve come to ask whether you’d care to join my Owsla. We shall be glad to have you and you’ll enjoy it. If you’re ready, we might go along now.”
They went out past the young sentry, who paid the visitor no attention. The sun was shining and in spite of the cold there were a few bucks and does at silflay [feeding above ground], keeping out of the wind as they nibbled the shoots of spring grass. It seemed to Hazel that he would not be needing his body any more, so he left it lying on the edge of the ditch, but stopped for a moment to watch the rabbits and to try to get used to the extraordinary feeling that strength and speed were flowing inexhaustibly out of him into their sleek young bodies and healthy senses.
“You needn’t worry about them,” said his companion. “They’ll be all right — and thousands like them. If you’ll come along, I’ll show you what I mean.”
He reached the top of the bank in a single, powerful leap. Hazel followed; and together they slipped away, running easily down through the wood, where the first primroses were beginning to bloom.
RIP Mr Adams

And again
Posted 10 years agoAgain someone is using pictures of Clea without permission on f- list again. This time she is an underage herm. Profile of the offender is here https://www.f-list.net/c/ailynne I have reported the user again to their staff.
Fox thoughts
Posted 10 years agoAfter some time and consideration I decided not to sell the slavefox as I had mentioned before. Being as he is no longer a slave, it seemed he should get a name. Like my name I was considereding something Gaelic. Perhaps Airgead Liath, which translated is Silver Grey. Be curious if anyone has any other ideas that seem appropriate or tickle my fancy :)
Potentially Selling a Fox
Posted 11 years agoSlavefox was created specifically as a result of an rp and relationship I had with a dear friend. The relationship now dissolved leaves me with no desire as it stands to have any association with this character. I am considering selling the character and all art to another. As a bonus the character in second life (account and all) could be transfered. I can post pictures in scraps of him in game if anyone is interested.
Question is now is anyone interested or has anyone had experience with selling a package like this? Let me know. Haven't decided just yet but may well make a decision in the next week or so.
Thanks guys!

Character theft
Posted 11 years agoApparently I am not immune from character theft. Clea has been stolen on f-list. See link https://www.f-list.net/c/cleasach . This is not me! Maybe I should be flattered... but not really excited that someone purporting to be me posting art I paid for as theirs, and then making me underage! I have reported the user to f-list. (Ticket 33244). Will see where this goes. My real f-list page is: https://www.f-list.net/c/cleasach%20mcmillan/
Guardians of the Galaxy
Posted 11 years agoDid anyone who identifies with furries not see this movie yet? If not you should. You should even if you don't. The movie was thoroughly enjoyable. Had its funny moments and good effects. All of the characters were great. I will however cut to the chase... Rocket the Raccoon. An anthromorphic furry in a movie. Loved the character and look forward to more of him. Wonder how long till he starts showing up in fan art here?
battle of the wills
Posted 11 years agoI got a lot of positive feedback from my "battle of the wills" commission that I had sabretoothedermine do for me (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14078299/) ; I hadn't decided who should win/lose when I came up with the idea or what the punishment/reward should be. Been super happy with how this piece turned out and rather plan to continue the series. Thought it might be fun to see if anyone has any ideas what should happen next! So go ahead and tell me what you think. If I like your idea I will be sure to mention it in the follow up. (Though fair warning i may tweak it to my own liking) Ermine has already said she was game for doing the follow up piece when she finishes her current queue ;)
commissions and ramblings
Posted 11 years agoSo I have this weird thing where I don't ever have Clea appear in a piece having sex with anyone. Not to say she never shows up in sexy situations. Had people asking about why recently. Wanting her to appear with them in scenes. Don't really have a good explanation though, specially since at the same time been thinking about rather kinky scenes.
Anyways, kinda wanting to have more done and wouldn't mind suggestions for how I (Clea) or the fox could be getting in compromising situations. Oddly I don't care if the slavefox is shown having sex or even gay sex. But no actual sex for the mouse ;) potential "villains" who might be interested in appearing in a split commission welcome too!
Any thoughts? If you want reply here or send a note. Be curious what suggestions or ideas I get back if any.

The patience of an artist
Posted 12 years agoSeems as I have been having pieces done recently, its not always easy to relay what you are envisioning to the artist in a concise way, let alone all the little details of the characters etc. Recently I have been working with MoodyFerret "www.furaffinity.net/user/moodyferret/" on a commission for a bit now. (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11211623/) Just wanted to say how awesome she has been with making several edits and things throughout the process and is always friendly. Just really appreciate her hard work.
Same goes with Devoid Kiss "www.furaffinity.net/user/devoid-kiss" though too! I know we went back and forth about some details on my "Mouse Not Included" (www.furaffinity.net/view/11148061/) as well.
Thanks to both you ladies for dealing with a nit-picky mouse!

Mesh Mouse?
Posted 13 years agoSpent my evening messing around with a Mesh Avatar mod in SL. My first attempt was with the <UTILIZATOR> - Avatar 2.0 - beta "https://marketplace.secondlife.com/.....a/2861916" because it was pretty cheap and looked decent. Of course the texture works completely different from the regular second life skin so took a bit of figuring out. They did post a wire frame diagram you could use. Nearly have it done. Will post a pic after I get the last glitch sorted. I will say that while I like the nicer shape for the body, I am not sure if its worth the price of no longer being able to wear any non-prim/mesh clothing. Has anyone else played around with Mesh bodies in SL? Be curious what others thought.
help a mouse out! =)
