I've added digital work to my list of commission possibilities, but there is one thing not visible on my "commission information page", and that is icons!
So I'm putting it here. Icons are digital, and 100x100 for use in forums and/or LJ.

Posted 17 years agoI have accquired a full-time job that makes use of my education while allowing me to continue it.
What does this mean?
This means I will no longer have to bust my butt for $7.50 an hour, and I will likely have more time for artings.
As of now, I have used some of my newly discovered freetime to log back in to the Furry-themed MU*s I was regretting.
And now we come to the real reason behind this post: What is it with Taps-users and the pronoun you?
I mean, maybe I've been doing more of the "non-Taps" sort of RP lately, but part of me can't get over the fact that what you're doing when you enter into a scene with someone else on a MU* is playing puppet-master to you character. It's not you. You're sitting at your desk, or wherever, typing into your computer. Is it an immersion thing? Because even then, I can tell you I am actually made uncomfortable by the idea that a scene-partner, no matter the type of scene, is addressing me. IC =/= OOC, ma'ams and misters.
Is this a personal quirk of mine, or does anyone else out there feel the same way?

Posted 17 years agoI'm sorry that I haven't been around lately, but having a retail job (insert groan) in addition to the real job (which could be a smidgin more real, to be honest), I haven't had much time to sleep, let alone draw/browse FA.

Dead Things and New Things
Posted 17 years agoMy laptop decided it didn't want to stay on or come on again the other night.
So I bucked up and financed a new desktop, since my laptop remained stationary 95% of the time, anyway.
Then, on a tip, I cleaned my battery contacts. So now the lappy works again.
I powered it up to back up all of my files on our external harddrive, but I won't be using it as much for fear of it dying again, if what I fixed wasn't the only problem.
I haven't forgotten about you, alexanderkatz!
In a conversation with
orthan, I have decided to do a series of prints with which part of the profits will go to Breast Cancer research. Because drawing monochromatic pink females sounds kind of cool to me. I've already started a tiger. What other species would you like to see, oh Furrydom?

Posted 17 years agoSo I got a job! It's not a job in the field I have my degree in, but it is a steady paycheck. So what if I'm a college graduate working retail? It pays the bills that are in dire need of being paid.
What this means for all of you out there is that if you want a commission, you're going to need to be patient. Please don't let that stop you, though! Commissions are great in that they help me keep my art flow going with new ideas, characters, poses, etc.
I get to draw a possum chick for alexanderkatz. And the commission I just finished for sumatrae gave me an idea for a piece with an elephant in it. I mean how awesome is that? You know you want to see more possums and elephants on FA. You know you do.
So tell you what. If you commission a full color piece with a background that exhibits a species that is rare within the fandom, you'll get the background free. That's right, fuzzbutts. FIVE DOLLARS OFF. THAT'S A LATTE IN YOUR POCKET. Or...wherever you keep your lattes. This offer is available for a limited time only, however - it won't last past Halloween!

That being said, I now have an utterly blank-slate commission-wise. ALL FIVE SLOTS ARE OPEN! Also, if you'd like to have the finished piece mailed to you, it's just $5 shipping to make sure it gets there safe and sound and unwrinkled. I retrain the rights to make and sell prints of the image, just as I retain the right to post it here, so if you don't want that to happen, we'll have to talk about things.

In addition, I'm starting to scrape the bottom of my idea-pool, and I'm afraid when it runs dry I'll hit the dreaded art-block. So I've also opened up requests and trades. While I'm working on a third story featuring the characters from Lakewood Ranch (thank you all so much for the faves!), I've started drawing a picture of Clementine. I'm using part of what I have finished already as my avatar, but I'm only able to work on it in snippets given my employment situation at the moment.

Posted 17 years agoThe "commission info" link in the control panel is odd, so I'm echoing my information here. I don't have a Paypal set up yet, but I want to go ahead and pimp out my proverbial pen. ;)
Each 1,000 words costs $10.00. “Basic” erotic stories include basic sex acts (vanilla foreplay, oral, vaginal, and anal sex) and two characters. Each additional character and each additional/kinkier sex act is $10.00. The author reserves the right to refuse to accept a commission for any reason, and the author also reserves the right not to divulge that reason. The author will not write about characters that do not belong to the commissioner, i.e. what would constitute as fan fiction.
When making a story commission that incorporates a pre-existing character of your own creation, please give the author a detailed description of that character’s physique, demeanor, and personality. The more detailed you are, the more pleased you are bound to be with the finished product.
When you make your story commission, the author will not begin writing until they have received a description of what you want, even if it is as simple as gender/species/setting/sex acts, and half of the total payment. You will be informed as to when your story is completed, at which time you will be expected to pay the remaining amount before you receive the story file. The author reserves the right to post commissioned stories online as advertising tools. If you would not like to see your commissioned story posted, you will be charged an additional $10.00 to offset the loss of potential business for the author.

Posted 17 years agoSo I posted my first story, and I'm so very thankful for the reaction I've gotten to it both on and off FA. My mate actually critiqued it for me so that my next story will be even better.
I'm trying to work out information regarding story commissions, and as soon as I can get my tablet shipped, I'll start posting some art (including story illustrations).
