Ef is over again, (this year with a broken toe)
General | Posted 6 years agoAnother EF is over. I'm back home and busy.
My trip to EF started last week on Tuesday. After 7 hours I reached Berlin. After reg, I met with my first room partner and a few friends, and we went to dinner, and then to the bar in the beer garden.
When I wanted to go to bed it happened. I had a little accident. Unfortunately, I hit the TV table with my foot, and broke one of my toes. EF "Fraktures in Time" had became EF "Fractures of Bones" for me.
But I had the impression that it was not just me, I've seen a lot of people with associations, and plastered arms etc. and the ambulance stood almost every time I went to the hotel entry there.
But back to the main thing. EF
Actually I wanted to visit the Berlin Zoo on Wednesday, but I rejected this plan. Instead, I first looked for an drugstore where I could buy something to fix my toe.
After everything was done, and my toe was fixed, it was already time to build up the Artshow.
For diner I went out with some friends from Switzerland.
After the meal I went suiting. Luckily the boots of my Snep Suit are a bit too big, so I did not have any problems with my toe.
Thursday I went on a sightseeing tour with a few friends. we visited Checkpoint Charly, the Sony Center, the KDW (there a Hansa Pawpet Snep, and a lynx plushy, also from Hansa wanted to come with me), etc and ate something in the Nikolaiviertel.
After visiting the Dealers Den party I was suiting in the hotel.
On Friday, I decided, despite my broken toe, to visit Zoo Berlin. I only toke a little equipment with me. I had some luck because I got some good pictures of the Great Pandas, and the painted dogs.
When I was back, I've visited the art show and the dealers den.
For dinner we've visited the BBI. And back at the hotel we made a short stop at the PlushFurs Gathering.
After that I tried to get into the hind paws from my lynx suit Kyrill. But the paws are to tight for my toe. So I could not put them on. I let the paws be paws, used some normal shoes, and went suiting.The classic dance was great, except for the fact that unfortunately I could not dance because of the broken toe.
Saturday was really busy. After brekfast I went to the dealer den to buy a snep shirt, and some artwork. Then I went to the Art Show pickup, to get my unsold pictures (two from five) back.
Then we went to the Closing and the Paw Pet Show. After the show I had to go to the artists pay out.
For dinner we went to the food trucks. and then we went suiting (this time with my snep). We made our round throught the hotel, and endet at the Atrium bar to have a drink. (Hell I wish I could see the pic someone made from Shadowolf and me with our wineglasses. Unfortunately we didn't ask the one who made the pic.
After suiting we went to the beergarden bar for a short cocktail.
I went to bed early (3 am) because I had to drive home the other day.
On sunday it was time to travel again. My alarm clock rang at 9 am. After a short breakfast and the loading of the luggage, as well as the check-out, which unfortunately took some time, we started the journey home.
We needed 9 hours. We had some traffic jams along the way and a lot of heavy rain.
Today (Monday) I'm back at normal, doing some things like cleaning my suites, go shopping, etc.
In conclusion, EF was great despite my broken toe. Many thanks to all folk who made this EF great for me.

I startet my at 05:30 am. I picked up some things from Ragear at 06:00 am (the lion looked really tired this morning), and traveled to Halle an der Saale to visit the Bergzoo (It is really a Zoo at a Hill. Everywhere you want to go, you have to go up). At the evening I continued my journey until I arrived Leipzig, where I checked into a hotel.

I get up at 06:00 am. It was to early to get some breakfast at the hotel, so I startet without one. I walkt to the center station, and traveled with a train to Dresden, to visit the Zoo. I spend the day at the Zoo, And I think I've made some nice pictures there. At the evening I traveld with a train back to to my hotel in Leipzig.

After bre,akfast at the hotel, I walkt to Zoo Leipzig, and spend the day there, I think it is a really great big Zoo. I've made lots of pictures there. For example from some sneps, tigers playing in the water, cheetahs, hyenas, etc.
At the evening I walked back to the hotel, and then I wanted to visit the Völkerschlachtdenkmal. But I was to late, the monument was closed, so I only could walk around it. The rest from the evening I spend at the hotel.

Time to continue my road or should I say zoo trip to EF. I checked out at the hotel in Leipzig and traveld with my car to Zoo Magdeburg. I stayed there till evening to take some pictures. And I had a great time there. The have lion cubs, and lynx cubs at Magdeburg.
At the evening I traveled towards Berlin. Some friends, and one from my room mates (Shadowolf) were already there, as I arrived at 19:00 at the Estrel. I checked into the hotel, and do the Reg, then carried all the things I had in my car, into my hotel room. After that I eat something at the Estrel Stube. Then we went to the camp fire, and had a really nice evening there.

I was up for breakfast early, guess why, because I wanted to go to Zoo Berlin, to visit the giant pandas there, but after a weather check I decided to change my plans and go to Tierpark Berlin, and maybe, if the weather at fFriday is OK then I visit Zoo Berlin. I spent several houres in the Tierpark, and get back to the hotel at 19:00. At the same time my second room mate Ragear arrived at the Estrel.
Then I set up my panel at the art show, and after that we went out to neukoelln to eat something, then went back to the hotel, and spend the evening with some friends.

Hooray, I've done my fursuit reg, the days before I haven't the time for that. I joined the fursuit parade with my snep suit. After the parade I spend some time in the art show and the dealers den, and at the evening we eat something at her beer garden.
And then I joned the dances in my lynx suit.

I desided that I don't want to go to the Zoo. We had breakfast, I spend some time in the art show and the dealers den,then spend some time suiting. Shadowolf (in his red wolf) and I (with my lynx suite) sat at the bar near the main stage to have a little drink. (Thx to Larvagandor for the picture).
After suiting around we went to the BBI for dinner, and than with Shadows to the camp fire.

It's a busy day. After breakfast, we visited a panel, then I had to go to the art show pick up. I've sold two from four pics, so I had to take two pics back at home, and I've also won one print (a really great picture). After the pick up Shadow and I made a little round in our suits, and then we walkt to the closing ceremonie and the paw pet show.
Then I had to go to the art show payout, and after that we eat something by the food trucks, and had some drinks at the bar near the main stage.

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go.
We had breakfast, then put our bags into my car (It was like playing Tetris). This time Minn and Ragear travelled with me. And we startet to travel home. I think we needed 9 hours towardes home.
Monday 27.08.2018 (today)
I had to sord all the things I brought back home, had to clean my two suits, go shoping, etc.
And I just try to find a place for the picture, I've won in the art show. Oh, and something to hang it up.
Tomorrow:
I had to go back to work, and had to begin to sort all the pictures, I've made during my trip to EF. I've made more than 5.000 pics during this time, so, I need a lot of time to come up to date with the editing again.

EF is over again
General | Posted 8 years agoI was back home yesterday evening, but I was to tired, or busy, or both, to write this journal.
I think we had a good at the EF in Berlin. Thanks to all my friends, who made this days so great.
And this, although we had to outsource Ragear, because we only got a standard room instead of a suite. Darn booking system. But three suiters with a total of five suits are unfortunately too much for a standard room.
I had eight exhibits (a whole panel) at the artshow, and sold three photos, printed on canvas and a clock with a print from a pallas cat on.
From the profit I could finance the evening, I've spend with some of my friends at the Estrel steak house (Grill).
And I also donated a wildcat calendar for the charity tombola. I hope the winner will like it.
And here is my personaly timetable:
Wednesday:
My journey startet at 06:30 at home. Then I drived to Karlsruhe to pick up Ragear. From Karlsruhe we had a nice journey to Berlin, with a Rest at a small Autohof near Fulda.
And we meet up with Shadowolf and his Vodca-powerd Lada.
We arrived Berlin at 14:00 so we had enougth time for the Check in, the Reg, and my Art Show setup. Unfortunately I've missed the opening ceremony.
We had dinner at the Estrel Beergarden, and after that I walked a small round through the hotel in my Snep Suit.
The rest from the evening we spend at the Bar (which closed to early) and the camp fire till 03:00 in the morning.
Thursday:
After the breakfast I visited the Fursuit Parade with my Snep Suit. After the Walk I've visited the Art Show and the Dealers Den.
Later that day we walked to the BBI for Dinner, and after we were back, I've made a little round through the Hotel with my Lynx suit.
Friday:
I've started the day early, because I wanted to go to Tierpark Berlin to take some pictures. I think I've got some good images from the pallas cats, and from the young amur tigers playing in the water. At 18:30 I were back at the hotel.
And I had luck with the weather, because a few minutes later it rained cats and dogs. So we couldn't go to the indian restaurant. Alternative we had dinner at the Estrel Steak House (Grill).
When we finished dinner we walkt to the plushy panel, and then to the bar.
Saturday:
In the morning I've made a trip to the KaDeWe. And when I was back, I went to the art Show pickup, to get my unsold pictures back.
Then we walked to the Indian Restaurant, we wanted to visit at Thursday. After dinner we went back, just in time for the closing ceremony.
I hoped there would be a waiting line party like three years ago, but there wasn't enough delay for this.
I watched the closing and the paw pet show. Then I went to the Art Show payout.
After that I made a small round througt the hotel in my Snep suit. And spend the rest of the evening (till 03:00) at the Bar.
The bar also closed to early, but Shadowolf and I got the two last Kalte Muschi at the Lobby Bar.
Sunday:

I woked up at 09:00 (one from my friends just get to bed at the same time) for breakfast.
Then we (Ragear, Minn and me) load our luggage in my car. It was a little bit like playing Tetris, and started the long way home at 11:30
I arrived 19:30 at my hometown. We had a good journey, without big traffic jams.
Today
Now I'm back to normal. Monday, I've hang up my suits for drying, and have to do some repair work at my lynx paws.
And now everything is back to normal again.

EF is coming

This year I've got a whole panel in the Art Show. That's more space, as last year.
I think I can Show there some nice picures.
But there are a lot of things I have to do before I travel to Berlin.
Like
- clean up my den
- tell my catsitter what he had to do. (She only need to feed Kidogo, my Plushies don't need feed).
- get together all the things I need in Berlin. (My suits, my camera, my plush, the pieces for the art show, etc.)
Provided there are no traffic jams on the highways, I should arrive at wednesday afternoon in Berlin.
And after the hotel room booking chaos I hope we will get a nice room.
Originally I wanted to share a suite with Ragear and Shadowolf, but now Shadowolf and I have a standart room, and Ragear is outsourced into a room with Webdolphin ;)
But I'm looking forward, and hope we also get a lot of fun at EF.

Wednesday:
I arrived at Wednesday afternoon in Berlin, so I made the Artshow setup. Later that day, I went out with some friends to visit a really good burger local.
Thursday:
At Thusday I spend some time in the artshow, joined the suitwalk with Kyrill my lynx suit. Later I've joined a "tv-watching party". We wanted to see a interview with Willion. But the TV station didn't show it that day. The other reportages at the show were to long, so they hadn't the time for this on. But also, the party was great.
And then I missed the artshow and dealers den party because we went out to the Hardrock Cafe. But that's ok. The only thing I've got really angry, was that some mad Asshole (sorry, but I have no other word for this person), pulled my tail, like he would rip it off. GROARRRRRRR.
Friday:
I spend the whole day at Tierpark Berlin to take some animal pictures. I've weared my fluffy snow leopard tail during the visit, and the reaction from some of the people at the Tierpark was really funny.
After the visit I went back to the hotel, and we watched the interview with Willion. This day the TV station sended it.
We had some food at the Estrel beergarden (the fish was very good), and then I joined the 80s dance with Cloudtail, my snow leopard suit.
Saturday:
Saturday was really stressfully. After a long breakfast (it was really long. I was up there till some guy wanted to clean up the location with his vacuum cleaner)
Then I run to the Artshow for the pickup.
After that I needed some food, so I were hounding to the big M, and then hounded back, because I wanted to the "standing in line party" before the closing ceremony. Unfortunately the Closing did start just in time. So there was no waiting party ;).
When the Pawpet Show was over, I hounded back to the Artshow for the payout.
Later that day I joined the Big Blue dance with my lynx suit Kyrill. I was overruned by four conga lines ;).
Sunday:
The journey back home was awful. There were several traffic yams at the highways, so I needed two hours longer than usually.
Today
Now I'm back to normal. Monday, I've hang up my suits for drying, and yesterday I've made some repair work at my lynx paws (I think four conga lines a day were to much for it).
And now everything is back to normal again.

And then I missed the artshow and dealers den party because we went out to the Hardrock Cafe. But that's ok. The only thing I've got really angry, was that some mad Asshole (sorry, but I have no other word for this person), pulled my tail, like he would rip it off. GROARRRRRRR.
Friday:
I spend the whole day at Tierpark Berlin to take some animal pictures. I've weared my fluffy snow leopard tail during the visit, and the reaction from some of the people at the Tierpark was really funny.
After the visit I went back to the hotel, and we watched the interview with Willion. This day the TV station sended it.
We had some food at the Estrel beergarden (the fish was very good), and then I joined the 80s dance with Cloudtail, my snow leopard suit.
Saturday:
Saturday was really stressfully. After a long breakfast (it was really long. I was up there till some guy wanted to clean up the location with his vacuum cleaner)
Then I run to the Artshow for the pickup.
After that I needed some food, so I were hounding to the big M, and then hounded back, because I wanted to the "standing in line party" before the closing ceremony. Unfortunately the Closing did start just in time. So there was no waiting party ;).
When the Pawpet Show was over, I hounded back to the Artshow for the payout.
Later that day I joined the Big Blue dance with my lynx suit Kyrill. I was overruned by four conga lines ;).
Sunday:
The journey back home was awful. There were several traffic yams at the highways, so I needed two hours longer than usually.
Today
Now I'm back to normal. Monday, I've hang up my suits for drying, and yesterday I've made some repair work at my lynx paws (I think four conga lines a day were to much for it).
And now everything is back to normal again.

One day left till EF
General | Posted 9 years agoTomorrow starts the Eurofurence in Berlin
This means that today evening I have to pack everything I need at EF into my car, so I can take off early tomorrow.
-My two Suits Cloudtail the Snow Leopard and Kyrill the Lynx.
-My exhibits (three canvas prints and a clock) for the Artshow.
-A Wildcats calendar for the raffle.
-And last but not least my giant snep plushie Mr. Floppy, and my lynx plushie Luna
Provided there are no traffic jams on the highways, I should arrive tomorrow afternoon in Berlin.
This means that today evening I have to pack everything I need at EF into my car, so I can take off early tomorrow.
-My two Suits Cloudtail the Snow Leopard and Kyrill the Lynx.
-My exhibits (three canvas prints and a clock) for the Artshow.
-A Wildcats calendar for the raffle.
-And last but not least my giant snep plushie Mr. Floppy, and my lynx plushie Luna

EF Art Show

I will get a half Panel to show my photographs.
I think I can show there five or six printed on canvas.
Now I have to pick out some of my pictures and let them print on canvas. The selection isn't easy for me.
