WHILE TAKING COMMISSIONS

RANT RUNT ROOT TOOT HOOP FLOOP

I've seen horrifying behaviors in people who will take commisssions. Either its:
An artist being rude to someone asking about where their commission is after waiting a year and a half,
An artist getting rude to a customer for asking for a refund on something due to an artists lack of response TO their customer!

There's a long list, I don't want to go through it all, but I'm going to stop there. I think thats a rude way to go about working with a person that gave YOU money, and as an artist listening to them about what they have to say as long as the commissioner and commissionee are being reasonable people? There should be no real issue.

If someone who is commissioning is asking for money back because they might NEED it? Or their commission is taking unreasonably long, its wrong to get that money back? If someone has to message through every way possible and the artist is getting mad? Thats just sad, CAN YA DIG? Don't assume a situation, try not to be rude, if someone needs money back for reasons and the commission wasn't posted or sent or even finished? Give the money back, that shouldn't be an issue.

NOW HERE'S ANOTHER THING, don't rush an artist too much about a commission, there is no need to be all over them if its been a week since you have commissioned an artist, ASK FOR UPDATES, or maybe an artist will be able to update YOU about where they're at, whether they've started and such.


THIS ISN'T DIRECTED AT ANYONE just patterns I've seen EVERYWHERE, on many different sites, and I wanted to state that people need to be reasonable about commissions.
The artist, and the commissioner, they can both be at fault depending on the situation. Be patient and try to work with eachother kindly, if you feel one or the other is being rude, address that in a kind way.

So I noticed people are lashing at eachother for staying or leaving. :I
Personally, its someones choice? its someone elses decision? Gomen if you don't like it?
People are going to stay here if the business is effecient, NOUGH SAID.
People are going to leave if they're uncomfortable or have constant issues, NOUGH SAID.
