What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
A cougar just seemed to fit. Felines sleep a lot. Cougars are small (relative to most big cats) but powerful. They can purr but cannot roar (fitting my quiet nature). Felines are very agile and flexible. And I tend to think of felines as more laid back and prudent (as opposed to canines, for example, which strike me as more forward and impulsive).

Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Yes and no. My fursona reflects more of my adventurous and outgoing side (a side of me that tends to be very repressed in person).

Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Well, I don't much care for raw meet or catnip... but apart from that, I suppose.

Does your fursona look like you at all?
Currently, I am drawing it with the same hair, and at least attempting to match up facial features to some extent. But I may go with a shorter hairstyle for him in the future.

Is your fursona the same gender as you, if not why?
Yes.

Do you have more then one main fursona?
No.

Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
No.

If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?
I would very much like to find a mate, but I am not making much of an effort towards it. I'm just really picky in that regard, and I often end up wanting what I can't have and being unsatisfied with anything else, so we'll just see where things go. Lol, in any case, I would MUCH rather have a serious relationship than anything casual or temporary.

Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
Well I am pretty certain no one else has my exact personality. :)

Do you have much art of your main fursonas?
Not at all... I am always very hesitant to start a drawing of my fursona because every time I do, the perfectionist in me comes out. And since I am faaaaaar from perfect in my artistic ability, I am never satisfied with anything I draw of him, so I rarely make it beyond the sketching phase. I am currently working on a pretty detailed painting of him (which I've been working on for months now), and I am fairly satisfied with it so far, but I'm having difficulty with the fur... but to avoid getting too far on that tangent, I'll just say no. And I won't request/commission any art for him until I have his physical design precisely as I want it (which will require that I draw him several more times to figure out what I like, so who knows how long it is going to take).


Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
Never. I've considered creating an alternate fursona because I really love scalies and various aquatic anthros, but I think Clyde will always be my main fursona.

If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
I don't suit. I MIGHT eventually get one, but I'm still unsure... I don't go to any cons (though that doesn't necessarily mean I never will), and I'm not sure that public fursuiting would be my thing, but it would be very cool to me to have my fursona rendered in a physical, living form, nonetheless... but would it be worth the $800+? Not sure...

Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
I have, but I am generally not really into roleplaying unless I'm just in the mood for it.

Do you consider your main fursona to be a part of you in any way?
This is a hard question... My fursona and I have very similar personalities, so I am not really acting or anything when interacting online as my fursona, I am just being myself (in a more outgoing way). So in that respect, I am my fursona. But do I literally believe that I have any tangible connection to a fictional anthropomorphic cougar? No... The idea of "otherkin" and stuff like that just isn't compatible with my skeptical, realist mind. That kind of stuff is fun to imagine, but I couldn't truly take it seriously, even if I wanted to.

Some recent events I've encountered on the social app, Palringo have me really reconsidering the consequences of posting art online....

I had been using a WIP of mine (one that I have put a couple dozen hours into so far) as my profile picture on the app, and someone who apparently had a problem with furries picked a fight with me and then stole my profile image and started spam posting it in the chat room, then his friend defaced it and started posting the defaced version. Long story short, I ended up banning them from the chat room, and they ended up posting my defaced artwork as the profile picture for their own chatroom, claiming that "it was just a Googled pic" (and I hadn't signed it or anything, since it was just a WIP, so I could not even prove otherwise). I reported it through the app's website, which had no immediate effect, but sort of by a stroke of luck, someone was able to get it removed for me. But this got me thinking: if that person hadn't been able to pull some strings and get it dealt with for me, how long would my art have remained there, and how much further could this have gone? Ultimately, it seems like it would be very difficult to prove that any work of art online belongs to you, even if it is signed, especially for those of us who do not have massive portfolios and a well established, consistent art style and reputation.

Just makes me wonder if it is even worth it to post my work online, but then again, what is the point in putting 30+ hours into something that no one but you will ever be able to appreciate?

My notifications bar says that I have 1 new submission, but when I open it, it says there are no submissions to list...

I see all these "speed painting" videos on youtube where people take an average of maybe 40-50 minutes to draw a professional looking, complete digital painting... and here I am, 5-6 hours into this painting of my 'sona, and still no end in sight (and it still looks very cartoonish despite my desperate attempts at realism). <_<

There are always too many of them to keep up with... they just pile up until I eventually just have to nuke them all. Dx
