I've got an upcoming move next month, excited for that! Shouldn't mess with my work too much, it's not incredibly far and it'll take just 2 or 3 days to adjust and I'll be back to work.

I'm gonna start sharing my Patreon in each of these journals just 'cause.
It's mostly just a tip jar, $2-$3. I post exclusive warmups and WIPs but in general I release almost all completed work. Howdy! Other than than, I've launched my Patreon a couple weeks ago and while I've had a slightly slow start, I'm catching up quickly and it feels good workin' on my comic project(s) again. Won't promo it here just 'cause this is a small update.

Not much of an update beyond that, but I figure I'll list some plans for the end of this year and some goals in 2022:

1. I'm going to do my best to get on track with a few personal life things, mostly being a bit more active and taking a bit better care of my health
2. Ideally I'd love to improve my art further and work on more comics, both personal and commissions. Compared to 2020, 2021 for me was a huge step up in making a living off my art, but I'm still not 100% there. I want to strike a good balance between doing my own work and work for others and being able to survive off of that. I have a few plans but not much I'll speak publicly on since it's all just ideas for now. Here's hoping for the best and I'll give my next update in 2022!

This month I'm doing a bit more of a relaxed commission opening so I can get a few things in my life together a bit more easily. Mostly mental and physical health + environment stuff, getting back on track with a few things etc. That said, note me if interested, and check my latest posts for more info! My goal for this month is to finish my (slight) backlog (first week of May) and get back on track with wrapping everything up at the end of each month, so a slight re-evaluation of my workload.
With the reduced work this month, ideally I'll take some time to myself for a bit more personal art, practice, and cleaning up my workspace a bit to assist with overall comfort and productivity.

February Comms are closed and I'm only working on my waitlist this month (+ a slight backlog). This is the month I'm finally gonna get those things I've kept putting on hold on a roll, so, here's some shit that's gonna happen by the end of the month, and if it's not ready, pals can yell at me for (nicely, but still)

- Have all info accessible on a page without needing to contact me: Basically somewhere to redirect folks for my ToS, will/won't do, and pricing, without needing to link people to tweets and such. It's all drafted, I just gotta revise it, post it, and link it. Ideally I'll have this available on some simple webpage + directly on FA via the comm info page, as well as commiss.io

- Start using commiss.io

- Have a decent google form, if people would prefer to do it that way.

- Get on a (real) schedule (which has already started!) to do work more effectively, basically have some real work-life balance.

- Have a comic Patreon publish-ready (not necessarily OPEN) with some artwork pre-loaded

Howdy, I'm back, and I think I will be for a while. I go by Paige now, for those unaware! they/them or she/her. I've been taking commissions, July was my first full month and I got through it pretty darn easily (despite everything going on) so I'm confident taking on more work going forward. Just uploading a bunch of stuff over the last year that I've missed since I was last active. I'm not uploading everything, but you can find me on Twitter videobun and videobun_art (sorry, too lazy to link). I'm currently closed for August and I'm not quite sure how inclined I will be to open comms via Furaffinity, but I accept opening/waitlist inquiry on my art Twitter account. I open at the beginning of every month.

Anyway, aside from comm status, I've been doing alright. I've been clearing out submissions and such for my return to FA and I'm gonna schedule stuff a bit better alongside my work. Hope y'all've been doing well. I've kept in contact with most friends via Twitter and Discord and have been staying safe, so no major worries. Got a couple personal things going on w/ family and all that but nothing major.. normal stuff, y'know. That's about it, I though I'd have more to say, but I guess in this case it's just been inactivity on FA specifically. I'm excited to draw more. Taking comms has been nice, and I plan to work on some personal projects soon as well. I'm bad at ending these. Hey, just wanted to get a new update at the top of my page so people know what's going on!

1. I'm most active on Twitter > Tumblr now (@videobun, @videobun_art, and a nsfw account I won't list in a public journal. Feel free to ask for it, preferably via Twitter)
2. Looking for a job but kinda low key since I've got time to wait and covering a few things with comms at the moment
3. Got a project in the works that I want to start being more serious about soon-ish, hopefully. If life situation stuff works out.
4. Working towards some sort of simple monetization even if it's not much. If I could get to a point where I just cover a few low cost necessities that'd be really cool! I won't be too in-your-face about it but I do have a Ko-Fi and Patreon that I'll talk about more once that project starts progressing. Oh, I also enabled Shinies (that new tipping system here)

Other than that I've got a few personal goals I'm working towards that are going well so all in all things are going pretty well for me. A lot of uncertainty with the future but making progress in places I can. That's all I really wanted to say, I personally don't read many journals on this site so idk who this is really reaching but for anyone who does care, tysm! <3

I removed some of my older, way worse art. I've improved way more than I tend to give myself credit over the last 3 years, and looking back at some of my old art, it's a bit embarrassing to have had it all on display as something I used to be proud of. I know it's a bit against my general philosophy with art, to be able to show my improvement over time by keeping old things up, but I personally think I only really need one archive for all of that kind of stuff, being my tumblr blogs, and I kept a decent amount of old drawings up anyway. I think there's value in both having some sort of archive of most art for the purpose of mapping progress as well as having clean galleries primarily for presentation, so I'm keeping a bit of a mix on my FA, weasyl, and dA.

I'm mostly making this so I have a more up to date journal entry on my page, but in general here's what's going on:

Senior year upcoming (2017-2018) I should graduate by the end of Spring 2018. I dunno what I'm gonna do for a job but if it leaves me time to draw still that's all I can ask for. I got a few things on my mind that I want to set up eventually, in no particular order: Formal, updated commissions, sheet and everything, set prices for all variations. Art streams - especially multistreams with friends. Included in that is maybe some kind of art channel on youtube? I don't wanna do anything big, but I'm obsessed with finding good background noise as well as watching others draw, so I want to possibly make some series where I can talk w/ friends about general things, draw (either whatever we want or something based on a challenge or theme per episode? I dunno. I just want to provide something fun for people that works as bg noise for their own art because it seems fun, even if it only reaches a couple friends at most. I also need to make or join some artist discord channel(s). I'm in a few rn but I'm always looking for more. I also want to start some form of comic, either a loose, easy to update general one, or start some story, and dedicate myself to learning formatting, good layouts, etc. Setting up a Patreon is also a possibility, I don't want to make any of my regular art exclusive, so I'm gonna stick to comic pages only as exclusives if I set one up, and release all pages in bulk or after a week or so.

None of this is concrete but it's just been on my mind! Oh also I'm bringing back my Weasyl from the dead, despite that site being inactive as hell, I like it still and I feel better keeping everything up to date since uploads are easy to keep on top of, I just need to do a better job of being consistent. That's about it. I appreciate when people read this bs, so thanks if you did ;0
