Thought that maybe I should start posting works again now that I have a signature that I'll be using until I feel like changing it. And honestly that's about the only thing I'm doing to my own work because I simply don't have the resources for glazing and nightshade. Not like I have a style or skills to rip off and profit from in the first place. lmao.

They do have a Discord server that is optional but encouraged to join, but as someone with extremely limited energy right now for new servers I am unable to speak about what you may find in there.

What is not optional, however, is not having a Toyhouse account. This is required to be able to participate in their species as this is how they track design ownership. On the flip side this is also no issue as Toyhouse codes are easy to get your hands on since they are worth literally pennies and you can easily find someone who is able to gift you one.

Do any photographers out there have recommendations for memory card readers? The laptop that I'm currently using didn't come with one built in and it's hard to do my thing without a means of transferring the photos from camera to workstation. The camera itself is pretty old and a bit fiddly with transfers via usb port but it's the only thing I have that takes far better photos than my cheapo phone does.

The troubles with traditional art and physical goods I guess.

I dare not express any hopes or plans by this point with how things have been going since late 2019. Every time I've done so the exact opposite has happened. I deeply apologize for not being so positive and open about the future, what plans I may have, and basically what's been going on behind the scenes. All I can really say is "Life" at this point.

Is still ongoing. Just when I thought it was done, Life decided it wasn't yet done with its bullshit. A portion of it are things that I cannot disclose to the public even if I wanted to (And frankly, I don't. I am so very tired of it all and want it over so we can all move on to better things.).

I'm a very tired creature doing their best to stay afloat and finish projects, even if I can't show them off in better quality photos at present. I hope to have those ready for posting before the year is out but I am not holding my breath on it. And believe me I am very salty at this constant turn of events.

Is stability far too much to ask for?

Well, I did say at one point that I would post some digital messing-around. I only have a mouse to work with for the time being so that's why I can't reliably offer digital work yet. And Peentz's worm lines are :ok_hand::ok_hand::ok_hand:. I love working with them, they're fun!

I'm also considering getting a trello. But, similar to the so many of the timer apps that I've been finding, I'm not sure if it'll help me any given with commission tracking that my medium is traditional and my only way of digitizing my work with the best results for uploading is to take a digital camera into the garden room, photograph the piece, and then do the final processing and resizing on my current laptop (Which is an ancient Dell potato). If anyone wonders why I'm not yet steadily taking commissions, there's a good non-personal part of your answer.

But if there's anyone out there in the traditional media field who may have a solution to my timekeeping problem, I'm all ears. Seriously. The lines are open. You're welcome to throw 'em at me.

No submissions going bye-bye. Its mainly just reorganizing my submissions folders in attempts to simplify it for myself. From my point of view it was a bit too cluttered and, well, a lot of them just seemed unnecessary. I can just indicate in the blurb what it is, y'know? Although I'm still debating when it comes to my pencil/line stuff, since I like showing what the lines looked before I color them in, but technically the shots are also part of the coloring process. And sometimes I just ink them in in one color and leave them be because, well, they just looked enough to leave alone. But I don't often do just plain ol' one-color ink to justify a separate folder. Its a backburner thought.

But I am hoping that some tweaks to the tagging system will be made because honestly how it is right now is so very inconvenient. I'd love to not use lower dashes and periods as spacers between words, y'know, because acronyms can mean so many different things and leaving no spaces between words like a twitter hashtag is very painful to look at.

You ever stop to ask yourself that when you realize that you're doing things that are less important than what you should be doing but can't be arsed to do it?

I'm having that pretty big right now. I'd say "Send Help" but unfortunately I don't think that anything that gets launched at me is going to help. lol. On the one hand I'm happy to be creating again even if half the time I hate the end result, on the other.....none of this is what I'm supposed to be doing and its making me mad at myself more than it really should be even though the side effect is that I can potentially use what skills I learned through it for later. Although I should really sit my ass down and finish that tree despite how much I'm still hating the thing. Its enough for me to go "Man, fuck juniper trees!" even though I'm the big dumbass that picked it because it would fit the chosen location.

Ah yes, a very late announcement. lol. I have gotten my hands on toyhouse code and have an account there now. Although its very doubtful that I'll be using it to advertise selling adopts through, but at least now if any adopters have an account there I can just send the adopt file that way. The site is very nice for organizational purposes, but I can't say anything about the community itself yet as far as other activities goes.
I do have to admit, lately it looks like the Trash Panda aspects of my fursona are definitely showing. But at least the designs I pick up are Forever Homed (and properly credited, or so I hope I've been doing it right).

In other news, I think the funk I usually fall into around the new year is finally starting to lift. Its hard telling right now that's what it is, but I'm going to take advantage of this energy while the getting's good. I'd like to say more but I'm gonna wait until I think other things in life are finally over with before I actually begin talking about them. I feel like every time I've talked about anything good or bad I jinx it into getting worse. Which is...Not very fun. So, here's to hoping that things are actually looking up!

This is mainly for tracking sketches and trades being worked on between larger projects. Being a multimedia worker there is sometimes a wait between steps for various things (Like drying, materials, further contact with the client, stuff like that.). I just start the list with 5 by default for these, this last can be added to as long as I clear the previous ones.

If you keep buying adopts you'll never get that thing you have in mind to save up for! The opportunity will always come back again, and you might even see something better come along. Nervous as hecc about even offering through here but I gotta do it if I'm going to be getting that much-needed upgrade, and I'm almost done with my current list. Have to start somewhere, right?

The idea of opening actual commissions here makes me highly nervous. But its something I can't keep putting off since Twitter is not a platform that I'd be able to make work for me towards that endeavor and I am not an established presence at Deviantart. Or really much anywhere else for that matter.

At least for the mean time, I might have a chance of breaking that ice with putting up my own adoptables. I don't have the skills and tech to pull off a hybrid approach with my work (yet) so they're all going to be in traditional media for who knows how long. I just have to fine tune some things and I should be set to go with that. It should at least help me get some supplies and badly needed upgrades.

I didn't think that I would ever post any short stories or any such written word here, but I guess if I was throwing it onto tumblr I might as well do here too. I'm not sure how often this is going to occur though so don't get too attached to the idea of me as an artist of the written word.

A handy-dandy link list that will slowly get updated with each entry uploaded into my scraps bin. These were made as a base point for digital artists to work from, as most of my current reference images and artwork are traditional mediums and may or may not be colored in. However, some are digital and are easy for me to derive basic palettes from. In my book it seems far easier and less troublesome to post these as separate thing rather than tacking them onto the individual artwork. Eventually, they may get phased out with proper reference sheets but for now this will have to do. Standardizing each sheet is currently a work in progress and thus subject to quite a few changes with each iteration.

Of course, as anyone should well know, the usage of these sheets is purely optional. After all every artist has their own style.

Whether friend or a complete stranger that likes my work, the door for art trades is generally open. Unless I've got something going on in life that demands that I close both it and commissions until further notice. I am not picky if the art I get in return is traditional or digital media, but I can really only do traditional in a more timely manner.

This first entry is nearing completion (and underwent a lot of rewriting before I settled on a layout. Ugh. Here's to smoother sailing with the next round!). Keep an eye open for a newer commissions log.

Its not that I don't love anything or anyone, its just that my front page would get extremely cluttered if I did so. In most cases I wouldn't be able to pick favorites if I tried! lol. Also, having to pick favorites as far as real people goes tends to backfire on me, so I'd rather not. The trouble picking favorites brings just isn't worth it in my book. I also feel really uncomfortable with people calling me their favorite anything, and Would Rather You Not. While I'm aware that it is meant to be a compliment, I really can't take it as such. (After far too many occasions where things turned ill between the person and I, on either end of the exchange, I just can't. So just, Please Don't. Thank you.)

And on a personal level, excess visual clutter is really annoying when you're looking for something specific. I guess I'm a person who tries to get straight to the point the majority of the time, and think that others may prefer that as well. This detail is also why I don't have badges and icons. Besides having an extremely vague idea of what those are actually about and which ones are open to be used by all. If my understanding of that does happen to change, I may just make a journal entry and stick them in there instead.

that I may open up a small batch of requests to do in between more serious work. These will be more like simple pencil drawings like this one or even involve a little color pencil like this plump catte. Nothing too complicated, unless the hyperfocus kicks in and takes over (as often happens with the Peep N Sheeps).

I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to price and manage my commissions, beings how I use traditional media to create my work and use a digital camera to "scan" the end result in. I'm afraid I can't offer shipping the actual piece at the present, I don't have the means to quite yet. But definitely no requests for con badges. Keeping track of time is not one of my strong points, so charging by the hour is out of the question. And, occasionally, I find myself hitting a wall about 3/4 of the way through the detailing pencil stage. Which can be very frustrating, especially when it involves more time-sensitive commissions. How to get around that wall faster I'm not sure of, its hard identifying what the wall even is at times when it happens.
