As some of you may know, My community was recently in the midst of a forest fire that led all of us through a very traumatic experience. Several people lost their homes and we lost many hectares of our beloved forest that surrounded our community. We had to pack our lives into the backs of our vehicles and evacuate not only ourselves but our many animals. It was a very scary experience I hope no one has to endure. I was amidst the flames, helping fight it as long as I could until there was no more to be done and it was best left to the professionals.

Our home is no longer in danger and we will be allowed to return home within the next couple of days. I'm looking forward to going back to my home, something several of our neighbours cannot do, but I also fear going back, having to witness the charred remains of our forest that only a few days ago I was in the middle of, trying to save.

I am still working on your owed work but due to the experiences in the past few days, I'm doing a bunch of personal art to help myself recover emotionally. If you follow me on twitter, you will have been seeing some of these posts and while it seems I'm doing well, I'm still very burdened by the trauma I have experienced and I still need to recuperate some.

Hey guys; just so y'all know ive been suffering for a long time with chronic nausea and in the past couple weeks it's been getting worse. I don't know what to call it since no one can tell me why I'm like this but basically, I suffer with nausea on a daily basis for a couple hours each day. Sometimes, I can deal with it and sometimes it's too much and i am incapacitated. I don't know what affects it really or what exactly brings it on. I have suspicions but nothiing proven to be concrete.

The past week i've only been able to do easy things like derps.

I had a really bad night Tuesday night and since then I haven't felt right.

I have a hospital visit tomorrow for some tests but I don't think anything will come of it tbh.

I'm hoping to get back on track soon but I'm not feeling too great right now so things are going slowly, please understand!

Why I do the raffle::

So you all know me. You know that I can't stand poor reference sheets. I hate it when I am given a shaded reference sheet, or a clothed reference sheet (seriously, what???), a reference sheet that doesn't include manditory information such as a back view, tongue colour, pawpad colour etc etc. I am a reference sheet snob and I know that. If a reference sheet isn't good, I don't like using it. I'm SO MUCH OF A SNOB WITH THIS that I feel the need, the want, THE DESIRE to create reference sheets for EVERYONE just so I know they will have something that is reliable, something that is correct, something that shows everything that needs to be shown and something that just accurately portrays the character in question.

The longer I am in the art world, however, the more people I see complaining that they don't have a good reference sheet. Moreso I see that people don't have desirable/proper reference sheets AND ITS TIME TO PUT A STOP TO IT. Although I can't go around drawing refs for EVERYONE FOREVER, I can do my part to make sure that as many people have a good ref as possible (especially those that might be too poor to afford a good one or not confident enough in their own skill to draw a good one)

As a result, I'm going to host a raffle to win a reference sheet made by me. It will be anthro, will contain a front and back view as well as possibly a couple outfits if I feel like going that far. [b]It will definitely include the front and back view. It will include a colour guide, some likes and dislikes and other mandatory information about your character that I just don't see on many ref sheets (tongue colour, pawpad colour, species, etc) you'd be surprised how many people miss that stuff on their ref sheets.

I do have a couple rules though, unfortunately :( ->>> Please read them before wasting a lot of time filling the form out! <3

1. I cannot draw a select few species, or I am uncomfortable drawing some, so I will put a ban on the following:
-Amphibians
-Bugs/insect features
-slime characters
-technology/robotics/steampunk
-Extreme body types / unrealistic body types -> hyper/inflation, super muscle, curvy femboys etc..
For curvy femboys, I like to keep to realistic proportions so the most curvy I will do is kleinfelters syndromek (XXY). any more, and I won't do it as it isn't realistic anatomy <3 please understand! thank you!)
-extra limbs (missing limbs are fine, Wings are fine!)
-Baby furs
-Plantigrade feet
-Hyper body parts - specifically breasts and genitals (chub is fine; but if we get into inflation hyper stuff then I'm laying the line down)
If you aren't sure if you character falls under this restriction, just ask! :)
-Original species (this covers any species that doesn't exist in the real world. Most hybrids are okay if they are hybrids between real creatures such as a fox/wolf hybrid)

2. I will decide extra things I want to include in your reference sheet (from clothing views, to extra expressions and so on). Please don't ask me for specifics. This is free and it is a reference sheet. It's already a ton of work. Any extra will be my own accord C:

I have been suffering from pretty bad back pain for the past week and at first it was manageable but the past couple days it's really gotten horribly worse and I'm having trouble going about my day..

I have a massage chair at home that I'm living in now, I'm using a roller to roll out my back, I have stretches I'm doing when I can and I'm living day to day off of a tin of extra strength tiger balm q-q

My back remains slathered in the shit all day. The tigerbalm helps for a couple hours before I have to re-apply. I tried voltaren emulgel but that shit did not work at ALL and I don't know whether my body is immune to emulgel or if my pain just surpassed it cause everyone told me it was supposed to be really good???

ANYWAYS

The pain is hindering my ability to work now. Drawing is do-able if I do it in the massage chair but it's awkward due to angles and stuff. It's also sapping my energy because dealing with pain all day is exhausting. who knew >:U

If the pain persists, I might want to see a physio person but we'll see.

If you have any tips or tricks for back pain please let me know ;-; specific stretches that might help, brands of pain killers, voodoo magic I can try, give me all the advice ;o;

With that said, I'm still plucking away at commissions <3 it's just harder atm >:U

I just realized I forgot to update my FA about this lmao. So, a small hiatus will be taken because this Thursday, I had beautiful mouth surgery which I didn't think would be as... distracting as it's been. I figured I'd lie in bed and draw all day and maybe take some pain meds every few hours.
turns out; I am spending my days mostly sleeping, icing my face and drinking my food :)))

I'll be on FA on and off to check notes and make sure my inbox doesn't get too full but I probably won't be posting much art in the immediate next few days.. maybe the next week idk i've never had mouth surgery so i don't know how long it takes to feel not in pain anymore after lmao

Also; I don't feel less wise now. I think I had an excess of wisdom before and now I'm on par with the rest of you muggles so I don't make you feel bad with my perceived superiority. :)))

P.S. I miss chewing things. It's a weird thing to miss but like. I ate spaghetti today by chopping it up into tiny bits and then chewing with my front teeth and man. I miss using my molars without fear of pain or fear of shit getting into my stitches.

P.P.S. I also miss eating things I want to eat without pain. I smelled fettuccine alfredo earlier and damn I wanted it but I knew I couldn't cause y'know. Pain. >:U I've been taking being able to use my teeth for granted. CURSES.

This weekend my bunny got very sick with what I thought was gas pain or mild bloating. I right away began giving him lots of belly rubs to get his gut working (which seemed to be improving his condition). I even purchased some infacol (medication for infants to help with colic that can be given to rabbits to help with gas pain) but didn't give it to him because he really seemed to be doing much better.

Last night he presented a new symptom which just seemed like hiccups so I didn't worry too much ( I thought maybe my belly rubs were doing that). He also seemed to sound like he had a snuffly nose so I thought maybe he had caught a sort of "rabbit-cold" and had plans to take him to the vet this morning.

This morning, he had taken a turn for the worse. He couldn't keep his balance, was heavily grinding his teeth and he seemed to have like... maybe had a seizure in the night during which he peed and somehow got it outside of the kennel we had him in to keep an eye on him (he's usually in a very large open space).

I know rabbits don't tend to show their symptoms until the very last minute so this morning I knew he actually hadn't been getting better and that this morning was it for him. We had plans to take him into the vet to get euthanized so he could be relieved of his pain but before I could get going, he stopped moving and passed.

I'm broken-hearted. He was the coolest bunny. He always wanted to be a part of the action and would hop around the barn whenever the chores were being done. In the summer, he spent his days lounging in the garden either sleeping, eating grass (and not the veggies oddly enough) or helping my mother plow the dirt. He was very chill and always wanted to socialize be it with the cats, the dog, the horses or us. He got so many snuggles and had so many fans in my mother's little horseback riders that she teaches lessons to. Everyone loved him. If you knew him, you would too. He was so goofy; his name being Tibbers but his nickname being Donald due to his half lop, half lionhead genes giving him head/neck fur that was much longer than the rest making him look like he had a toupee.

I'm not sure how much his passing will affect my artwork but with any luck, it won't affect it much.
I'm at my fulltime job trying not to cry so it's a little weird but when I'm at home, I can draw and cry at the same time if I so choose.

I'm tortured by the thought that maybe I could have done more but didn't, but at the very least, he got lots of cuddle time in his last few days with us. He was warm, he had food+water, got lots of massages and hopefully felt safe.

Rest in peace, little buddy. You will be very missed.
