Old, tired ramblings because I am on my ...fourth-ish day of Covid. Got infected after avoiding it this long--anyhoo..

Thinking of revisiting my original, old Fursona. Only a few may remember that gray wolf with purple hair but I thought.. might as well re-think things; see how they'd look as a trans male, considering things.

Probably'll ditch the original name too, not sure of his new name yet.

Wow. My last journal was a year ago. Damn.

In other news, I finally uploaded some new art! While not furry-centric, it's still smutty, so I'm pretty thrilled. Here's hoping that I can upload a bit more this year than the last!

With the Holidays and New Year celebrations behind us, the majority of us look towards the new year with hope. And while I do, myself-- my first few steps into this new year was dampened by a loss in my family. A part of me had hoped she would manage to pull through, but I think a lot of us in my family had a feeling she wouldn't.

So, I hope to churn out a bit more art overall, since she was always supportive of it; even if she didn't fully 'get' the subjects that I drew.

So with the fact that tumblr is deeming itself puritanical against any sort of explicit NSFW art/gifs (but not written works); it seems that I must circle back 'round to trying to get exposure on FA. While I have enjoyed my return to FA for the most part; it seems that my works don't get much in the way of traffic. Though I meant to get back into furry art as a whole, I still am struggling with it after so many years of focusing solely on humanoid pieces.

Most of my commissions have been solely for humanoid pieces this year, actually (with the exception of one).

So, I ask; what ways have you gotten traffic on this site? What tags do you use? I admit, I probably don't get as much in the way of foot traffic because I refuse to use slur-based fetish terms (futa, cuntboy, shemale, bonusholeboy, tranny, etc). But, nonetheless, I ask; what has helped you?

So, I think I missed something-- I haven't really been online much lately and I come back to see I received a note from the user up top with the title 'hi liked you'. This was only three hrs ago; and in the span of that time, they deleted their account, and I can't access the Note as it states

"The note you are trying to view was sent by an account that is currently pending deletion.
Access to note content is not allowed."

...What was in that note!? Anyone else get anything from this user?

Due to some unforeseen events, my cash flow is going to be a bit tight so I'm opening up for comissions here on FA. The specifity of my situation is this: In my town, a business on our main street caught fire, essentially shutting down the main street for traffic. Hello one and all-- how are you all doing?

Now that my first Art Fight is completed, even though I didn't get as much done as I'd have liked; I am really happy with what I put out there. I definitely will want to do it again next year!

Now, that being said; I've been thinking of doing some drawn adoptables; but I would not know where to start or what's really required. What would you lot recommend? Any pointers would be fantastic.

After much thought and consideration, I think I finally found an animal through which to create a new fursona. A gray/lavendar rat.

Many moons ago, the spouse and I used to have a pet Dumbo Rat that was the sweetest thing. Considering I've never really drawn rats prior, I thin it'll be an interesting endeavour. Especially in trying to figure out those hands and feet!

I think I'll probably call him 'Terrance.'

I will never shy away from the fact that I've been out of the furry fandom for a good number of years. i have my reasons, but will readily admit that I've always felt pulled back towards it. It was one of my first forays into fantasy art, and that will never change. I do enjoy the relative creativity that the furry fandom's always had compared to others. The hybrids that would never, technically work has always intrigued me.

I also want to somewhat apologize for doing more humanoid art pieces. I want to create a new fursona tremendously, but just..don't know where to start. I don't know if I'm ready to 'furr-ify' myself quite yet; but am more comfortable with shifting an OC into the furry field of things. Honestly, I..just don't know where to start. How does one start with this, anyways?

So after much deliberation, I've decided to finally come back to FurAffinity. It's been a long time since I was initially here, and I don't quite feel comfortable in saying my old account name, considering it's been so long. I used to be a furry long ago, and still have inklings because I enjoyed the creativity of the community.

There are still some aspects that I can't help but side-eye, but that's, alas with every community.

But so much as changed, and it's for the better. I will apologise that my gallery is mainly human for now; but from my understanding, that's still okay? I remember there used to be a 'species' option for it; but that's seemed to have disappeared. Oh well. Either way, sorry for the humans, hopefully will be getting back into more furry aspects.
