Alright so my plan was to use the remaining week to finish commissions, but classes already started. I'll keep with the commissions but just be aware that they may or may not take a little longer to get done. It all depends on my work load. It's my final semester of uni and after 7 fucking years trying to just get a bachelors degree due to various indecisions and screw ups, graduating is my #1 priority.

I expecting to get commissions done by the end of janurary but I'll probably get them all done by mid to late february. After they're all done there will probably be radio silence while I work on my senior project and classes, then get out of school and hopefully never have to come back. Wish me luck fam.

Update: These proved to be quite popular! I shall do them in the future but for now I'm booked till the start of the new school semester. I don't plan to take many during those days if any at all however.

I will be doing Pay What You Want commissions for the month of Janurary. What exactly are the guidelines?
1. There is a $7 minimum. You are free to pay as much more as you think its worth, or as much as you can afford!
2. I will make it as detailed as I want. Which means you may end up with just a basic sketch or a fully rendered painting or even something experimental. (Don't worry, you only have to pay the minimum at first, then give more after it is completed if you chose so. I don't want people giving me a lot and expecting more work cause of it!)
3. I am free to work on the commissions in any order I chose to for whatever reason. (I won't make you wait months for something just cause I don't want to work on it however.)
4. SFW and NSFW are fine, but certain things I will not draw such cub, diaper, toilet fetishes, rape, vore, macro/micro, or anything I might find objectionable. If you are unsure then feel free to note me.

I will likely stream myself working on your piece on picarto, if you prefer to watch at a cartain day/time or prefer not to have me stream it, tell me so.

Also note if I do end up making something into an entire huge thing and all you wanted to give was $7 then don't feel bad, I wont mind at all! It's entirely my decision on how much to work on it after all~

Expect almost radio silence until like mid decmber. I need to get a lot of shit done.

So yeah probably gonna be uploading sketches for a while. Don't have the time or energy to put into larger pieces but sketching is better than nothing, and fun! I actually had no idea how fast I could do them until a friend had me try.

Also have a huge backlog of stuff I can color and upload, so at least there will be a steady stream of content coming up

This is really why I'm afraid of doing comms a lot. And why I don't ask for money till half way through the commission. I say I'll do them and then get distracted or have no will to do them. I feel guilty but then I pick up my pen, start drawing, hit a wall, and draw something else or start watching art lessons to try to get through the hurdle. I want to say I'm busy with life, with school, but I feel I'm too reliant on these excuses, I make things hard for myself.

Just sorry I make everyone wait for stuff I always say I'll do, and take weeks or months to get to it :/

This is one of the few posts that really is like writing in a journal instead of a message being sent out to people.

Pretty much I just want to write down whats in my head when it comes to what I want out of art. Many people do it just for fun, some do it for money, some do it for self expression, all reasons are equally valid. I've found what I really enjoy is improvement. Always getting better, always learning. If I fail at something that means I have to work on that one thing. Not hide away from it and be at its mercy, but master it and make it work for me. Be it anatomy, speed, expressions, colors, etc.

However adulthood is coming, and I fear I wont have the time/energy to draw in a very short amount of time. I see how busy my friends are becoming and I will be out of college next year. So I truly fear there is a time limit on how much I will be able to learn. After that I simply won't be able to dedicate myself to art like I currently can.

My plan is to read every book I can, watch every tutorial I can, pretty much put myself through art school. I have set up what I think are reasonable expectations, time it will take to reach the quality of those I look up to.

So far 1 year and 4 months has past since I really started drawing. I'm really happy with the progress I made and want to continue it. I give myself 4 years to reach the goal I want to. I have stepping stones and smaller goals set up along the way. Making sure what I want isn't a pipe dream and can be reasonably reached in the time I give myself. What I expect as an end goal though is to be able to make something like these.

I want to say I might make it in 3, but life shall get in the way undoubtedly enough. Will it be easy, no. But hey, given that some of my favorite games are Dark Souls, Super Meat Boy, Hotline Miami, I either like the challenge or I'm a masochist. Likely both.

So for my first batch commissions in nearly a year I have accepted people who had shown interest way back in the past few months and that I have contact with. The next batch after these 6 will be made public.

Now I have an idea to use Trello instead of posting on my separate accounts, that's hard to keep track of. This way everyone will always be able to see what I'm up to. The downside is that I don't like the lack of privacy, everyone can see everyone else's commission info, and references. But it doesn't look like most people truly mind? Haychel has one for example.

Thoughts on using trello? Any people against it?

People have been asking for them but I just don't know. I really am afraid of being late with them. Right now when I draw it's usually practice. I work most days, and draw nearly every day, but it's stuff I can't post because it's of no interest (anatomy stuff) or wouldn't be right to post (attempts to recreate another persons image from scratch). I will not stop this either, because I have goals I wish to achieve. Such as how good I want to be in X amount of time.

Pretty much. If there is interest for commissions, and I accept yours for example, it could take a full month to get done. Possibly more if its complex or the pieces before it we're complex. Would this be acceptable to you guys or do you believe commissions should be done in a timely manner?

Finals were a week ago so I was very busy the last month. Now Im working on getting back into art, not being able to draw a couple weeks breaks me :v. Slowly working up to it more, maybe can start uploading more in the next couple days.

Ive had a few questions about commissions and I never set it up formally. Classes will be starting up again so my time to draw will be a little limited. I will do the usual slots things that others do, take only 2-3 at a time depending on complexity. Once I am full I will not accept more until the commissions are finished and I feel I am able to accept more. I will post a journal when I am ready to do so.

I have 2 people interested already, they will have priority at the moment for available slots.

Prices and other info:
(I will have to make an example piece to show off the options available as I don't have one ready just yet.)
-The prices for one character will be $7 for a sketch, $12 for flats(+colored lines), and $18 for a full painted character. Painted icons will also be offered for $10. Characters with complex markings/tattoos/anatomy will be extra.
-To add one character will be +50% for each one (e.g. flats with 2 character would be $12+$6=$18).
-Simple backgrounds (such as a gradient, or simple colors to represent being in a certain setting) are free. Complex backgrounds such as a forest/ruins/beach will vary $10-$20
-Payment will be done through paypal.

Call it art block or whatever but I hate almost everything Ive drawn in the past couple days. I feel like I forgot how I want to draw, like I can't look at a piece of art and say "that's how I want to do things". And also I forgot that in reality I do draw everyday! An issue I'm facing lately is speed. I don't mind refining an image more but I must learn to work faster. So my own challenge for this month will be to at least make one sketch a day in order to teach myself to be more loose with a drawing and work faster (I want to line and color almost every image, but gotta keep things reasonable). I'll keep a tally here of what has been done, and ill upload images once done.
