Yo, I'm still kicking nerds. I just haven't had the motivation to really post much here, trying to switch between multiple platforms takes a lot out of me so it's easier for me to only do one or two at a time. If y'all wanna see my art a bit sooner, then your best bet is Twitter and Bluesky currently. I fucking hate Twitter with a burning passion, but I got bills to pay so I gotta go where my clients are. I'll be damned if it's not one of the worst places to do business though, based on the algorithm and constant shittier changes to the TOS alone. It's a got dang mess over there. But yeah anyway I'm still around and taking commissions and such so if anyone is currently interested in one you can message me here but you will likely get a quicker response hitting me up on Twitter since I actually get the notifications there. I just uploaded a bunch of stuff I've been behind on posting because ew why would I post them on time, who does that?

The last time I posted an update here I was still living with Leo and his family but now me and Fisk are living with some friends of ours, another local couple that have been good to us and seriously super helpful I can't appreciate them enough. Fisk and I are doing fine, our apartment is much more comfortable than the garage and it's much easier to work and have personal space. My only concern right now is income, while I have health insurance currently and I just got a new PCP I only just started some new meds and have a bunch of referrals to specialist docs I need to see; I am still struggling to pay for bills and such. Other than Commissions I'm still not doing other work technically other than odd jobs. I'm in the middle of hunting for at home work and trying to get disability since I'm still struggling with chronic migraines and my hernia 🙃

I'm still taking Commissions until this changes, it may be a while but I'm doing my best to work towards bettering myself and those around me !

Woof it's been a while since I've updated here but
I am doing well, in spite of things being complicated here and there I can't complain much, I'd count myself pretty lucky right now. That being said I don't believe I fully announced here that I quit working at Walmart as of March. While I was doing well at my old store, when I transferred to a different one in November when I moved in with my partners things gradually got worse, which I didn't think was possible after working the Front End of my old store for the entirety of 2020 and that was just a mess of problems on it's own.
Unfortunately the store I transferred to pushed my anxiety and PTSD too far, and their refusal to work with me on my schedule with me biking an hour through bike lanes with no sidewalk dealing with fucking semi trucks blazing past, I had to quit.
Jacksonville just isn't built for people without a car :/
I was actually really close to having a vehicle, but all the money I had saved had to go to me trying to get medical help for my Chronic Migraines, which Unfortunately I still haven't gotten proper help for it because yes, I still very much am suffering from chronic headaches since August, I can't even comprehend that it's already almost been a year.
I got an MRI done to try and find the problem but the one doctor I had look at the photos told me they didn't see anything but wanted me to spend another $200 for a 30 minute visit just to tell me the same thing. 🙄 So right now I'm on the lookout for a PCP that can get me the actual help I need.
Despite of all of that rough news, I did however manage to get approved for my Medical Marijuana Card and was rediagnosed with untreated PTSD.
It sucks having a mental illness but, it helps to feel a little validated knowing I have definitive proof of it and that I'm not just faking it for attention, like I've had so many *wonderful* people try to tell me over the years. I haven't found a strain of weed that helps with my headaches just yet, at least not more than to bring it down a little but I'm still looking. It has helped tremendously to have my card so I can smoke whenever I need to eat, seeing as I still have my Hiatal Hernia making it difficult for me to eat.

on top of all this the three of us have just about finished moving into Leo's sister's garage until we've saved up money for a place of our own. I'm so sore right now from lifting furniture these last few days fffff but once we've settled in I plan to hop back into working on my current owed art.

With All of that being said, despite being rediagnosed with PTSD I seem to be having trouble applying for Disability/Unemployment so I am completely broke. Until I am able to find a part time job, I'll be exclusively devoting my time to Commissions in order to pay back Fisk for covering for me right now and also for well, anything else I need at the moment, mostly for medication as I have foodstamps at the moment.
This all sounds crazy hectic and it is but I'm doing my best to keep my head up and stay lazer focused on the tasks at hand. It'll all figure itself out eventually.

Hmm so, been a bit busy lately as per usual, but I've been highly considering replacing my Surface Pro with an Ipad because as great as the Surface Pro works for basic tablet needs, it doesn't really fit me as an artist tablet :/
What i didn't realize when I purchased my Surface is that Microsoft has this thing called "Windows Ink" integrated into the system that I guess was built into to help people write with their tablet?? So it messes with the pen stroke as I'm trying to draw and correct things I don't need corrected and apparently older Surfaces had an option to turn it off but not with the more current versions, including mine. I've tried any way I can to try and shut it off to try and fix the issue but unfortunately it seems to be ingrained into it.
I can kinda make it work but honestly the stroke delay is hella frustrating and it's setting me back in my art which is why I've been so slow with art lately when I'm trying to get faster.

That being said, it is a good tablet, just not for my needs. However my budget right now wouldn't allow me to purchase a Ipad at this moment so the only thing I can think of is to sell my Surface to someone who can use it, or find someone willing to make a trade. I dunno! Just a thought. I've been dying to try Procreate I've seen so many good things about their features and I want to test it

So for about two weeks now I've been battling a pretty nasty headache, been falling asleep and waking up with it, over the counter pain meds don't seem to be strong enough. At first I thought it was a heat migraine mixed with a tension headache cause I've been biking to work in the heat then standing for 8hrs burning up in the store, and no one can deny this year has been absolute hell. Problem is it's possible this may be much worse than just a migraine. My mom and brother have both been diagnosed with type 1 and type 3 EDS, or Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. In particular the type 3 or Hypermobile EDS might be the cause for my headache, because after a quick google search I found that one of the side effects is hiatal hernias, which I've had one for abot 4 years now thinking it was just a freak accident. Not to mention that apparently heat and stress are a factor on aggravating the symptoms, which I unfortunately have quite a few of.
I'll eventually have to see a doctor if this doesn't go away, I'm on a short "vacation" to try and relieve the stress and pain for a short time. Unfortunately the pain gets worse looking at screens so drawing and even just looking at my phone for texts is difficult. So drawing may be a bit slow for a while, might have to just refund the few commissions I owe currently, much as I hate to say it. I'll try to leave updates when I can. I appreciate everyone's patience, hopefully I'll figure something out soon.
I'll just count my lucky stars I have Fisk and Leo to help me through this, they're amazing and I don't know what I'd do without my Wolf and Fox.

Hey y'all, I know not many peeps read my journals and stuff but just a bit of a heads up I plan to take a much needed break once my current que is finished. I'm aware I've had a few people wanting a commission once I open again but I've been dealing with some considerable amounts of stress and in order give my best I need to take a step back for a moment. I'm still unsure how long of a hiatus I'm going to take, I'm currently thinking a month but that could change depending on how I feel.
I'm going to be making some big changes to how I do my commissions, the way I do them currently isn't working well enough for me so expect some new things when I'm back. I'll likely still check back every now and then but for the most part I'll be keeping away from social media too. Derg needs her mental breaks x3

I've been so busy with work I haven't updated in a while, shame on me ^.^;

Lets see uh, My intuos pro died out on me so I had to upgrade to a new tablet, I don't make much with Walmart but
my tax return was just enough for me to get a KAMVAS Pro 12 and I freaking love it, BUT then my laptop decided to
get a corrupted harddrive :'D So for the moment I'm back to drawing from my very small chromebook which has very
little space for art but I'm making it work.
things have been a little rough at my apartment here and there but I'm doing alright, It could always be worse after all!
I've very happy to have my own place, the next step is to be able to start driving, at the moment I still get around by bike and bus.

other than that, I had my birthday at the beginning of the month so yaaay I'm 24 now lol, and just 2 days before that
my dad had hernia surgery and they found 5 hernias so he has quite a bit of recovery still to go. He says he is feeling a bit better but please still keep him in your thoughts v,v

as for commissions, I'm still working on them slowly, please don't hate me for taking so long >.< I'm doing my
best to juggle art in between my schedule at Walmart at least until i can find better work

I'm typing from my phone right now because I keep getting a bullshit message on my computer saying I'm restricted access to the internet, but everyone else is connected to it just fine, as is my phone. Tried calling and all they had to say for themselves was it was a technical issues on their end that won't be fixed until they send someone to fix it and the earliest they can do that is Friday :/
Soooo I'm stuck without internet for a whole fucking week but hey I better not get my hopes up because it's probably gonna take longer :') it's already been over a month since our wifi started acting up after a storm and that still isn't fixed but they seem to have plenty of time to over charge us! for those that don't know I had the birth control implant Nexplanon put in my arm three years ago
and while it did it's job, it also gave me nasty side affects that I won't get into. Point is,
I was able to get it removed thanks to my friend and she is getting tons of art from me
weither she likes it or not >:O

I need about a week to recover but I'm doing alright, and very relieved to be free of that awful stuff.
I'm not dating anyways and am content with keeping it that way for a while so I could care less, I'm just happy to
have my life back.


TL;DR: dumb girl things; gonna take a break from drawing for a week

my external harddrive, which was where all of my sai files, art from others, photos, videos, and pretty much any important
file I have was saved on....died. I have Onedriive now but it's a bit too late...I just lost soooo many unfinished
art files I had saved...hell my sona's reference sheet which is still a wip was lost. Which means starting over. With everything. Again.
I'm so upset and pissed...but there isn't anyone to blame. It was just shit luck...which happens to me a lot tbh.

So by the time Irma reached us it was a category 1, or at least I assume, it went out late at night. Managed
to save the food in the fridge though, which is a plus. The only thing that really got damaged
was the canopy we had covering our front porch for shade, but considering how much worse
other people have had it I feel pretty dang lucky.

I spent the whole week watching the Hurricane that I didn't pay too much mind to what else was going on but
I heard about all the shit that's been going on, I really hope ya'll try to stay safe...and respectful, 'cause
while some people have been helpful, like the two guys in uniform that helped jump our car at the Waffle House: we've also had people threaten us over gas :T

It's been crazy and stressful but I'm doing okay, my family is Ok. My brother was in Port St Lucie which was
a much more affected area but they left just in time so I know they are safe too

I'm most likely gonna be leaving Florida to drive to Arkansas, depending on how bad the storm is gonna be when it
reaches us. I'm pretty far up north but I just live in a trailer so I can't take the risk >.< Gonna have
