And so spring semester has nearly finished for me and so closes my first full year back in college! Ive been so happy being back in school, even if it meant giving up my penchant for sleeping. I have been kept busy by all my classes, ROTC, as well as getting ready to transfer to Cal State Fullerton this Fall. I am super excited about finally transferring and getting started on my BFA. I plan staying focused and accomplishing my goals!

But enough of that. on the furry side of things, I am drawing still, Apologies abound for my long absences and sporadic postings. Most of the time is spent working on class projects, many of which I wouldn't classify as "furry" and therefore haven't had the inclination to post up here. One thing I am working on for a final is my children's book which I am definitely going to be posting on here to get feedback and opinions once it is complete. Who knows, I may even consider publishing it one of these days!

For this summer I will be down in San Diego at SDSU, I was accepted into a program through the Army to learn Arabic and will more than likely incorporating some of that into my work down the line. As for everything else, love peace and chicken grease everyone! (not necessarily in that order ;P)

Greetings all! Wow, I can't believe Fall semester is already over. It was a crazy feeling being back in school full time again, but I enjoyed it very much. Next semester is shaping up to be a doosie as well what with taking three studio art classes (Painting, 3D Design, and Typography) and Western Art History 1 and 2 *sigh* Oh well, that's what I get for being lazy the last five years I suppose. Oh, and on top of that I have ROTC to work in there too! At least I have the next 6 weeks to recuperate and relax a bit...by working -_-;. I will have some time to work on personal furry-related stuff as well so expect a few pieces through the holidays. Whats New

So In case you haven't seen my last few submissions over the last couple of days, I have really started enjoying making these quick civil war era tintype photographs of different fursonas. I'm interested in making a few more but need some input form interested viewers. I pretty much just need to know the description (reference preferred) of the fursona in general and then whether they are Confederate or Union, their rank, as well as Infantry, or Artillery, or Cavalry, etc. Id like to make a series of these down the road and I would be willing to make more detailed and more customized versions of these tintype pictures for anyone who is interested. Feel free to PM me for more details on that. So for anyone out there who thinks they'd look good in civil war getup let me know :)!

Whats On My Mind

Greetings everyone! No I wasn't dead, it was more like a long hiatus for me to be able to get back to school and start focusing on my studies again. Its been a great first semester back so far, and Spring 2013 is shaping up to be even more awesome! I have been taking a very fun 2D design class this semester and in the Spring all of my classes will either be studio art or art history! I will be posting some work (mainly from my class projects) and hopefully if time permits the occasional personal piece, furry or otherwise!

Amazing to think that its already Thanksgiving again. So many things have happened over the last year I cant really name them all without sounding like I'm babbling. All I can say is I'm thankful for my friends and family and the opportunities life has given me thus far. I hope everyone who reads this (and even those who don't!) have a great Turkey Day and Ill try my best to not be a stranger :)

Hello everyone out there in FurryLand! Ive now finally finished with my initial entry training with the army and have been back home in good ol' SoCal *enter sarcastic tone here* As a way of welcoming me back my tonsils decided to get all nice and inflamed for a good week or so and knocked me out for the count. I normally get tonsilitis at least twice a year and I knew I was due for a good case of it sooner or later. I cant wait to take advantage of my medical benefits and get those bastards removed. Ive been dealing with that BS since I was like...2?
Aside from that wonderful episode Ive just been wasting time while I wait to go back to work. Since Im in the Reserves and not in the regular Army *sadface* Im going to be going back to work at Starbucks for the time being. Hopefully ill be able to land a job with my unit sometime in the near future, but until then Ill be back behind the espresso bar :(.
I also got myself a new laptop today since my old one decided to take a shit all over itself and DIE. What I got isnt anything to write home about, just a low-mid level HP laptop, but it will get the job done until Im ready to invest in and build my own custom tower of gaming and graphics editing awesomeness and POWAH!
Art wise now that I have a computer with a workin internet connection and my scanner pulled out of my stack of boxes, expect some artwork posting here and there soon. I havent drawn anything especially furry related since I left for basic training last October so Im really hoping my creative spark decides to jump back into my life for a little while!

Hello everyone! Its been quite an interesting 3 months since I was last on here. Heres a quick run down of whats been going on:
1) I left for Basic Training in October and graduated on the 15th of December. (I'm back at home on holiday block leave and will be leaving for my AIT Jan. 3rd)

2)  dune_buggy got back home safe from Iraq which makes me very relieved and happy, we got to hang out for a couple days and catch up on a lot of stuff

3)I got myself drawing again too, hopefully once I fix my computers problems Ill be able to post some stuff!

I dont want to bore you all with every minute detail, but Ill just say that I'm extremely happy with where my lifes path has turned. I felt like I was just drifting and not being of use to anyone, even myself. Now I feel like I am part of something bigger, and better yet I feel like Im making a difference. Thankfully Ill be able to have my computer with me at AIT so even if Im not able to be on every moment of every day Ill be able to at least stay up to date on whates going on and as I said before, hopefully be able to post some of the work Ive done since Ive been gone.

I need to save $1000 for the computer I plan on buying. Half of this will come from these commissions, and the other half will be the tips I am saving from work. Also, I will be offering black and white drawings (it would be both inked and shaded) for a flat rate of $25, sketches are only $10 a piece, and badges will only be $5.

I can accept cash, check paypal (definitely preffered) and can even do more then one drawing per person (i.e. buying a badge and a sketch drawing would only be $15) So to anyone out there who is interested NOTE ME, and I will get back to you ASAP

But sadly, life has decided to throw me another curve ball *sigh*. Hey guys, So the apartment I just moved into this past month isn't going to work out (the landlord turned out to be way too much for my sense of decency to handle) So now I am looking to move by the first of March into a new place. I know this is a long shot, but If anyone knows someone, or if you have a room for rent,please get in contact with me! Ok so FC was a blast, got to hang around the dealers den, saw some really cool panels (especially the one with  blotch about the Nordguard comic) and got to see some other really awesome stuff. Only criticism Id make is to never again hire the people in charge of the Karaoke. That lady was a bitch, and either stoned or tripping on something for how slow and uncoordinated she was. Plus when it says you start at 9pm that doesn't mean you start setting up at 9pm!

Anyway, aside from that small problem I had a great first con! I'm definitely going to be going to more! Next time ill try and give u all the heads-up sooner but since i was lacking the interwebs for the last month I didn't really have a way to relay the message >.>

Long story short, the ISP at my place is SHIT and hasnt worked for almost 3 weeks. I am back now tho so I can finally placate my addiction =D!!!

[left][center][right][right]Time has just reported that the Senate voted 65-31 to repeal Dont Ask Dont Tell, which if you have been living under a rock these last 18 years was the ban on openly gay and lesbian service members in the US armed forces. All i can say is, FUCKING FINALLY! At least that would be my first reaction lol. I could go on and on about how this is a landmark piece of civil rights legislation and yadda yadda yadda, but Im just going to sit back and savor this moment (mostly with my mate who just so happens to be in the army!)

Other then this, more art will be coming soon, just gotta get over to school to scan it all in since my mom decided to take my printer/scanner for herself -_-;

So it will officially have been one week since Lucky passed away tomorrow. Ive been going about my day to day business in pretty much auto pilot (my boss and i were discussing it today 'cause apparently its showing in my performance). Ive been riding my bicycle all over the place to try to keep my mind and feet busy. Friday I even rode it down the river to the beach and back home (which is a VERY long ride if you know anything about the layout of SoCal) But i digress...yes it sucks, death is never fun to deal with and when it does, even if you've prepared for it and are expecting it, its never easy saying goodbye. I'm not so much depressed as i am just numb on the inside. I know it'll will get better (heck it already has in some ways) I am especially grateful to those in my life right now who gave me there unwavering support in words and in actions (even if they weren't able to be with me in person). This week sucked, but tomorrow I am going to try my best to look on the bright side of things again. Hopefully that means more art too, I haven't drawn enough porn lately, I need to fix that :P

*edit* I was able to hug and kiss her one last time and I was there, holding her in my arms as she went to sleep one last time. Goodbye Lucky, life will be that much less special without you in it.

Today, things turned for the worst with my beloved 15 year old boxer dog Lucky. Its her time and my heart aches beyond words to know she will not be by my side tomorrow. She has lived a good long life, is loved by my whole family and will forever be missed. I remember being with her the day she had puppies, the many long walks we took, the games we played together and I will be with her through till the very end. I love you Lucky and never forget that you were my best friend

 azurexavian and I went to BlizzCon over the weekend, and OMG it was beyond amazing! If anyone on here was there I know you know what I mean! lol There were panels on art and music from their franchises, as well as portfolio reviews and artist critiques. Plus I got to play Catacysm and Diablo 3 demos which look amazing as only blizzard can do it. I am definitely attending next year, maybe if I can get enough people together we could make it a big furry group that attends XD. Well anyways...back to work!*whip crack*

I liked there idea of having people link me refs of their characters so I can have them in a pic with Colfax.

So pretty much what I am asking is for anyone who is interested to link me a couple refs of their characters that they would let me use and then I might just pick them to be in a drawing that I will be doing soon. It will not be in first come first serve, and I want the list to build a bit before deciding, plus I wont let the people involved know until I post the picture. So it will be sexy-surprise lol.

Well folks, time for me to sat goodbye to Vegas. Its been 3 years but I am ready to go back to SoCal to finish school and move on with my life :P. It was fun while it lasted and, hey, at least I was able to celebrate my 21st here which was awesome! (having half naked go-go boys dance with you on ur 21st is what I would consider a good b-day lol) I will be moving tomorrow afternoon and should be there in Santa Ana by early evening. If everything goes a planned I will be unpacked and ready to work next Monday *sigh* As for art, expect more once the move is over, been working on a couple commissions including a freebie. *update* Made it safely to my new palce and am now unpacked and officially moved back to Orange County! Now time for me to sleep and wake up at 6AM tomorrow for my first day at my new Starbucks store :P

I live alone, dont need much space for what I do and love totravel. If I had the moeny I would drop everything and get one of these and live in it rather then in an apartment or house.

OK, so the other day I was opening at Barnes and Noble. Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I am NOT at all a morning person. So while Im opening the cafe I decide to make myself my usual machiatto and drink it before we open. About an hour later my backup came and I paid for it. Little did i realize that someone in the back had been watching me make the drink and decided to call me to the back office around 2pm. The said that it was a serious breach of LP policy and that I was suspended until further notice.

Fast forward to today. I get called in knowing that Ill probably be marked down or have my hours cut. What I wasnt expecting to be told was that because of my"serious breach of store policy" that I was not only fired but was banned from ever going into the store again. All of this over a cup of coffee....really?

At starbucks we can have drinks in the back all we want and as long as its either marked out or paid for they could care less, but being completely BANNED from a store feels kinda like overkill to me. One thing is for sure, if they are that adamant about keeping me out then I will never EVER step foot in a Barnes and Noble again. Plus, I liked Borders better anyway :P
