About Collaborn Visions
General | Posted 17 years agoWHAT?
Collaborn Visions is a collaborative productions enterprise which locates and creates paying work for its freelance 'staffers'. It is starting small and will continue to diversify as it is able and into fields either considered desireable or practical by its 'president'. When the time is right, Collaborn Visions(as a service) may go commercial, but commercialization defeats so many benefits that such a move is not a serious consideration at this time and it is thought it never shall be.
WHY?
Collaborn Visions is launching for several reasons, some of them of a personal nature, others concerning market trends and public service needs.
1: To provide cheaper production services for ambitious and passionate would-be producers.
Support: http://www.atlantisstudios.net/comics_custom.htm
2: To create paying work for various interested or desperate artists.
Support: Many artists have ambitions to work in comic production fields, and many others in need of money have the necessary skills to do so and have not considered becoming part of collaborative comic production teams. Persons who join the Collaborn Visions 'staff' will have work brought to them when it is found.
3: To show what money, skills and passion can do when calculatedly fused together.
Support: Between deviantArt and Fur Affinity alone, there are hundreds of artists who can provide various comic production services if only they are invited to and given a chance to develop their skills. This will not be possible for many on anything less than a decently paid basis, and perhaps only in connection with various projects which suit their skills and interests well. Collaborn studios is concerned with locating such ones and matching them up with projects they can enjoy and make income from.
4: To raise funds for various public and private productions, most of which will be produced in connection with Collaborn Visions and/or released through it.
Support ~ Collaborn Visions is slated to handle the initial development of a 2.5 million dollar project over the next four years, a project which it is estimated will offer paying work opportunities to hundreds of writers, artists, audio specialists and programmers. And also numerous other series meant for commercial release.
WHO?
The Founder and Managing Director of Collaborn Visions is a lazy bum and has an often offensive personality, but his intentions are pure and he has started his 'company' for publically acknowledged reasons of his own and with every hope that all who become a part of the Collaborn Visions cooperative will find their reputations enhanced and their yearly income bulstered.
Collaborn Visions is currently unregistered and unlicensed and shall until otherwise necessary continue to be so. It will have no employees, instead relying on aspiring and established freelance artists for securing production services on various agreeable terms and conditions.
HOW?
To begin with, Collaborn Visions will specialize in short term, commissioned productions, ranging from 4-30 pages in length and taking no longer to complete than 1-8 weeks. Such projects will be on a pay-as-work basis and will not involve contracts. Later on, projects of a larger and more lengthy nature will be taken on and contracts involving firm deadlines and monies in advance will be utilized.
Collaborn Visions' basic unit will be each individual person, but its promises of production will rely on carefully formulated Production Teams of from 2-5 persons, each of whom will have their own areas of responsability and expertise, but which areas they will not be limited to unless by their own choice.
WHEN?
As you may be aware, Collaborn Visions is currently recruiting freelance 'staff'. Production commissions will be sought when the first of many reliable Production Teams has been formed and a reasonable degree of freelance support is perceived to be forthcoming; things happen and it is important that customers are not let down. Ever.
ATTRACTIONS:
Collaborn Visions will conditionally accept commissions for the production of comics in any genre, style and of any content rating, whether such productions are intended for private, free public or commercial uses/release. The conditions involve the availability of artists suited to particular projects, contracts where necessary and price negotiations.
Collaborn Visions will offer many courtesy services to show its appreciation for the producers who utilize its services, from complimentary avatar series, banner ads and promotional art, as well as free advertising via its freelance 'staff' for limited periods of time. [Collaborn Visions will not employ any special advertisement staffers, will merely rely on the courtesy of its artists to temporarily run Courtesy Ads in various locations, both here on FA and elsewhere on other appropriate sites they frequent.]
Collaborn Visions has every intention of investing in what is considered a revolutionary new webcomics presentation format called the SSPFF webcomics process, which will utilize what is termed S-Animation features. Once development of the SSPFF process has been completed and it is ready for commercial use, Collaborn Visions will offer print-to-webcomic conversion programming services and original webcomic presentations.
NOTES:
Collaborn Visions is determined to make use only of artists, writers and audio specialists who are listed in the On Demand skills and services resource threads. Utilization of these threads is free and the potential benefits extend far beyond any person's possible relationship with Collaborn Visions. http://www.furaffinityforums.net/sh......php?tid=18019
QUESTIONS will please be directed to the Shouts on this accounts user page.

Conceptual Division
General | Posted 17 years agoThis division involves both textual and visual conceptions, perhaps also audio. It will list the known voluntary and freelance "staffers" which comprise various general and specialized concepts departments, which include aspects connected to most early and refined development and Production Phases.
This is one of the most open divisions, as concepts are the basis and fuel for all types and scales of projects and destined productions. Amature, semi-professional and professional conceptionists of all sorts are sought and are please to feel most welcome to sign into this division on any basis.

Visual Division
General | Posted 17 years agoThis division of Collaborn Visions is expected to be the hardest to build and maintain, even if organization progresses smoothly. Timely and calculated production is recognized to be both taxing and daunting for inexperienced parties. The seriousness, personal dedication and organization required to work in this division is a hurdle few are expected to be willing - let alone able - to jump.
The very nature of the Intergration Profile for this division will give pause to all and only the bravest, most determined and ambitious persons who are sent a copy of it are expected to return it filled out in any detail.
Considering the dizzying nature of Managing and Directing a "company" such as Collaborn Visions, it is doubtful that dealings with indecisive and inexperienced persons will be either easy or equally beneficial for all parties, but provided that basic requirements(such as will be made clear both publically and privately) are met, all interested parties are enthusiastically welcomed to apply to join the ranks of the freelance "staffers" of Collaborn Visions.

Audio Division
General | Posted 17 years agoEfforts to locate interest on one site in particular are proving very positive. A decent staff of volunteer and fee-based musicians/composers is expected to grow here quite quickly, even though there is expected to be little demand for audio services - in connection with C-V productions - for many months yet.

General | Posted 17 years agoProducers List
General | Posted 17 years agoOne-time, standing, repeat and major financiers of various private and publically commissioned C-V productions will be listed here.
Fees/Rates Regulations
General | Posted 17 years agoThe fees and rates of various freelance service and skills providers working with or through C-V will be regulated to a reasonable extent to keep overall production cost levels as low as reasonably possible in order to compete with other production services of like status and structure.
Once a freelancer comes to feel unreasonably limited, it is supposed the time will have come to sever ties between that person and C-V. No bias and sorry to see the finer artists go, but C-V is determined to offer some of the lowest production prices in the general print and webcomics development and production industry and general and specific relationship severances may conceivably become necessary.
