Well I wasn't planning on closing commissions, but Apple seems to have decided I'm not allowed to use Photoshop anymore so for the time being I won't be able to take any new commissions. My Mac force-updated to the newest OS, which no longer supports the version of Photoshop I've been relying on, so I've got to either figure out how to downgrade back to the previous OS or find a photoshop alternative to work with.

Those of you who I still owe art to, I've got a free trial of Photoshop CC running at the moment so your pictures will be coming within the week still!

I'm not thrilled about the idea of paying a monthly fee to use Photoshop so after I've got commissions finished I'm going to be playing around with alternative drawing programs to see if I can find a suitable replacement program to learn how to work with. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Last time I posted a journal was for black Friday oh jeez I need to update more often.

Regardless I thought I'd post a quick status update on what I've been up to lately, because some big things are happening.
The main thing being I graduated last week! (on my birthday no less!) I now have a degree in education c: From here I'm just working on getting ready to be a teacher for the next school year. I've been hired to teach 8th grade language arts at the same school I did my student teaching internship at, and I'm super excited for it (and also extremely terrified lol)

I'm not working my usual seasonal job at the plant nursery this summer so I'll have some more time to prep for my new teaching position, and additionally have some time to just relax after a really crazy final semester (maybe I can finally beat red dead redemption 2 omg)

I'm still doing commissions and whatnot, but I've had some fun personal projects I wanted to put out there (mainly adoptable/ych concepts) once I get all caught up with my current list of commissions. So that's something else to look forward to.

Overall I'm still kind of in disbelief that college is actually over lol. Am I an adult yet?

Wooo spooky season will be upon us in just a few hours! I always like to do one of the drawing challenges that are packed into October (last year was goretober, before that OC october/inktober) and this year I'm wanting to do Monstober!

As an added goal- all the monster designs I come up with for October are going to be adoptables up for sale here and on DA. As such right now I'm letting anyone who would like to reserve a monster to buy it in advance!

If you buy in advance you can have as much input as you'd like in what you want your monster to look like. If a monster's not bought in advance before its turn on the list it will be put up for sale with how I've designed it!

I'm getting rid of a whole heap of unused designs I've gotten in the past! Bunches of freebies and OTAs.
Most of them are humanoids, monsters, or anthros.

I'm mostly wanting art of my own characters for these guys, or points/USD for those where it's allowed.

If you're offering customs or design trades I'm going to be extra picky, because the whole point of me doing this is to cut down on the hoard. I'll be more likely to accept though if you're offering one design for two of mine.

There's also a folder of adoptable that I've lost all records of their original artists. If anyone knows who drew them please let me know so I can give proper credit, but otherwise they're still OTA too.

So I was wondering, would it be all right if I raised my commission prices a little bit? Probably only by a couple of bucks, but chibis in particular seem to be taking a lot more time and effort for me to do lately, so I've been considering it.

Also I've also been wanting to do date commissions with my characters, but I don't really draw porn so I'm wondering if there would even be any interest in it.

I'm trying to finish up the last of my commissions, and then I wanna do some art trades! Pretty much I'll draw what you draw (chibi for chibi, fullbody for fullbody, etc) and I'd be willing to do customs and stuff too. I'm gonna be a little picky on who I do trades with, since I just don't have time to trade with everybody ;w; but if you'd be up for it comment and I'll drop you a note if I'm interested!

Remember that test I mentioned in my last journal? I totally bombed it, even after all that studying.
On the bright side though I went to my school advisor and she recommended I look at a different major more suited towards what I was wanting to do. I've jumped through all the hoops to make the switch, and now instead of studying middle school english+science education, I'm studying middle+high school english+language arts. I wish I had known that was an option sooner, I would have gone into that forever ago.

Just a heads up to anyone waiting on any art for me, I've got an exam on Monday that I REALLY need to pass so drawing time is going to be cut back for studying time :'D I'll still draw some, just a bit more slowly.

Help me out here, I grew up on games like Neverwinter Nights that are based on the same universe as D&D, but I've never played it for myself. Some of my friends and I want to get into playing it or some similar game, and we've been looking at both D&D and Pathfinder.

Any of you guys play either/both of these? Which game is better for a group of beginners?
