My biggest motivator + friendcrushes
Posted 11 months agoI think my biggest motivator in this fandom to interact as much as I do, and soon create, is that I wanna make friends.
I've found myself with some furry friendcrushes (Think like a crush but no romantic interest, I just wanna be their friend ^^) and honestly I don't know where they came from.
I guess it's because no only do they both seem like interesting and fun people to hang out with, as well as the fact they have interesting fursonas, and most of all, they're proud of their kinks. They like what they like and they're not afraid to show it, and that they're both over 30, showing that the fandom not stopping or kicking you out when you hit 30 and beyond.
If I'm to be honest, one of them is an inspiration to me. I wouldn't be trying to be as active in the community as I am if it wasn't for her. I wouldn't be trying to write stories (One's nearly done, the other I need to get started on XD), I wouldn't be trying to reach out to others, and I wouldn't be as confident in what I like.
The issue with these friendcrushes though is that they tend to be one sided, due to one party really wanting to be friends whilst the other most likely already having their own set friendship group. Also due to the nature of the other party being online for simply longer than I have, this means that my profiles really don't show anything about me, what I'm like, and what I could bring to the table with a friendship. Because as much as you wanna be friends with someone, that isn't enough to form a true friendship.
Both parties need to find value in one another and I'm simply afraid that I can't provide that.
It also doesn't help that both of the furs I've mentioned make their own content, and I wouldn't be surprised if they've been burnt multiple times with people who seem genuinely interested in becoming friends, only to try and use them for free stuff.
I know one of them won't read this as she's ghosted me and I don't know why. However if by some stroke of luck that the other is reading this, I just wanna say thank you for putting up with my nonsense replies. It honestly means a lot ^w^!!
And to everyone else, thank you for reading too! I hope this hasn't been toooo rambly as I'm thinking of this as just a collection of thoughts and what drives me to be me in the fandom ^w^!
