Hi folks, I finally have a moment to post. MFF was a blast, as always.

Thursday we got there later than we wanted, but had some last minute stuff to wrap up before the con. We got there to discover our room got screwed up. For some reason we got a room with a king instead of 2 beds. They said they'd move us for the rest of the con, but we had to suck it up Thursday night. Anyway, it was good to see a lot of familiar faces and catch up with peeps. The Imp costume I made for Draggor made it's debut that night, and almost every time I saw him after that he was in suit.

Friday I tried Artist's Alley for a few hours. It was a lot of fun, I got a few drawing and sketch commissions and some interest in Tinkerdarn costumes. I think I may do Artist's Alley at FCN too for a bit too. My new corgi fursuit also made it's debut as soon as I got out of the Alley. It was very well recieved, and a lot of fun to wear. I love the changes I made to it, it makes it more cute, more practical, and more fun to wear. At night there was the dance, the improve panel, and then a hanging out with friends.

Saturday my mate and I stopped by the dealer's room and got an awesome watercolor sketch commission from  LauraGarabedian she made us so cute!!! I think we'll have to go back for more at some point. :) That night I was in and out of watching Lupis with friends, and I went to a rockin party with Mighty. I ran into a lot of people and had a good time drinking and chatting the night away.

Sunday I was pulled away from the con to go to work most of the day. I made it back in time for food with friends, a game of Settlers of Catan, and the Dead Horse party. Which, as always, is pretty rockin.
The con was a blast and I already can't wait for FCN. As always, I want to do a better job at staying in touch with people, but my life always ends up too busy. If I still can't get on IMs more frequently I hope to atleast be more active on FA.

The best part was getting to relax with my mate and friends, make art, and debut costumes. I know that is too many best parts, but that is how I roll!

Thank you all for the fun. I don't want to do shout outs since I know I'll forget to mention SOMEONE and feel terrable. You lovely people who spent time with me know who you are and I love you all. <3

I know it's been like a ghost town around here. I'm going to make it more of a goal to write journals and post art here. I dislike how distanced I become from Furry when I'm not at cons. That being said, I've already got a room arranged for MFF and I CAN'T WAIT!

I better see all you folks there! :P

I have a crazy amount of work to do but I am aiming to open up for commissions at MFF this year. I have been taking commissions from close friends on the side for a while and I'd like to take the next step. I'm very excited about it.

Anywho, back to work.

....sort of... for like 5 seconds... but it was fun! XD

Between teaching summer camps, designing and creating the set for Seussical the Musical, summer classes starting, voice lessons, taking care of ratties, working a panel at Gencon for 3 days, and spending time with my awesome girlfriend, life has been BUSY. I think I just got done with the busiest 10 weeks of my life. Ever. This is coming from someone who is used to always being busy too. XP

Anywho, I'm looking forward in life. I'm working toward making some awesome changes. I'm very excited and I can't wait, but at the same time I have to take my time and do it right. *impatient corgi is impatient*

Life is crazy as usual.

Job one is still going boring as hell.

Job two is going nuts. Classes are going well, though they are small. I'm getting good feed back and of course always learning. Rehearsals are going alright but things really need to pick up to be ready for the show this month. This past month was supposed to be the calm before the storm. Instead it's been hustle bustle everywhere all the time.
I can't wait to paint the set.

I got some good progress on the partial suit over the weekend even though I was sick. I'm better now. My girlfriend was sick too, we had lots of sleepy snuggley recover time because of it though.

I'm totally booked with fursuit commissions until a year from now. I really want to see if I can slowly ween myself away from Job one, and into fursuits and commissions more. It'll be a slow process and I'll need a solid plan. We'll see what happens.

So theres some thoughts... I mainly wanted to update to let people know I wasn't dead since it's been FOREVER since I posted. I feel kinda sleepy dead right now though. *snore*

Some day when I have time I'll post more art here. XD

I convinced my boss at the park district to let me create the beast costume for the show (with some help). I realize I just gave myself a lot of work and I'm already ridiculously busy. When it comes to creative things I know I work insanely well under pressure. My creative juices are already flowing.

I can do it, and I know they have no idea how great it will turn out. Knowing that, today, I feel like I'm on top of the world. I feel like I can do anything. It's a good feeling. Then again, maybe thats just the energy drink talking. XD

This week was extremely taxing on me. Trying to balance job1, job2, putting more effort into a cover letter than ever before, updating my resume, teaching class1, teaching class2, working on lectures/demos for said classes, getting my comp replacement up and running, comforting my significant other in loss of a family pet, and dealing with my own pet complications at the same time.

I was too busy to practice piano, register for voice lessons, work out, or even think about cooking healthy food to eat. Those are all things I really want for myself too. Hopefully I'll find ways to work them into my schedule. Especially the working out and eating healthy part if I still want to meet my 6 pack by 6/6 goal... That said, I just ate a munchkin. It was chocolate. mmmm.

I'm exhausted.

I'm looking forward to a night with good friends in celebration of the winter season and getting a relaxing buzz at the end of a super rough, but productive, week. I'm not complaining anyway, just updating.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Yay I missed FA while it was down.

Anywho, I have some drawings I'd like to post, hopefully I'll get a chance to some time over the weekend. (Hah!)

Was working on those sketches but I'm so dissatisfied so I don't know if I want to post them yet or not.

Xmas shows at the park district went well. I got to paint flats as a wintry scene for one of the shows, it was fun. Of course now that I'm not busy with that I'm busy preparing for the art classes I'll be teaching in January. There's no end!

You think I'd be rolling in monies with how busy I am. However, I will be paying my car off next month with what I've saved up. That will be a huge relief financially. Just for the record, I veto the monetary system. XD

I'm thinking of sketches, so if you request something too time consuming I reserve the right to veto it. Also, I want to keep it PG-13 and under. They will be done sometime before the new year.

This is partly to see who might be interested in my artz and partly to get my ass drawing more!

Why hullo thar! Felt like maybe I should post here since it's been a long time.

The fursuit I'm working on is coming along nicely. It should be ready for MFF this year which is freaking exciting!! The feet paws have turned out five thousand times better than the ones I made for myself. I'm jealous! There wont be any pics up here until after MFF though. :P

I did get another job working at a park district teaching art classes and helping out with theatre. I love it! Unfortunately they have to cut my hours already so I can't rely on it for steady income. So even though I plan to hang on to this job since I love the creative drive it inspires in me, the job search still continues.

Also, I'm sad it's all icky out. I want to ride my bike! *shakes an angry paw at mother nature*

I got an internship! Finally something good to report in the career aspect of my life. I'll be doing layouts for albums and color correction of digital photos. It is paid, and I'm keepin my current job so I'll be working a lot.

That being said, for those of you I haven't talked to about it yet, AC is definately a no go for me this year. I know I'd have a blast if I went, and there are a lot of peeps going that I'd love to hang out and party with. But right now I need to work on my career and that means working my tail off.

However, I don't think anything will stop me from going to MFF09 short of a life altering series of unfortunate events. ...Or a well placed, misleading, trail of cookies.

ANYWHO

I've thought about taking commissions on and off since I've come to the furfandom. Don't recall if I ever posted about it. However, I think that will have to wait some more too and goes into the category labeled, "Some day!"

Hmm... What else? It's been a while since I posted here...

I went to the zoo yesterday and had fun. Saw a redtail with one wing, poor guy =(

Saw an amazing I am X concert this past weekend. I was impressed.

Going to Battle of the Bands this upcoming weekend, my brother's band is playing.

I got a new haircut for the warmer weather. It's all short and spiky about it. So now I look like a Super Dyke! I just need the tights! No cape though. Real super heroes don't wear capes. I speak of experience... or at least a similar facsimile!

*runs around like freekazoid making "shooooom!" sounds*
