To those I still owe the Xmas gift thing: I doubt any of you will read this, but if you do, I'm terribly sorry. Expect your drawings sometime this year (hopefully before the next Xmas rolls around). Excuse is as follows:

I'm pretty much burned out. As of this moment I'm changing homes, and therefore busy as hell.
My notebook died so I can't go online anymore (like, at all. I basically use my phone to check my email and facebook and that'd be it). I'm saving to get a new notebook ASAP (I desperately need one for the uni, which starts again next monday) but this means I'm trying to live with 1 to 2 bucks per day (meaning, I've been eating bread for the last few days). I'm smoking like a chimney, but thankfully my roommate's sister is providing me with fags (she buys them in ridiculous amounts), so I don't have to waste money there.

Hopefully if I manage to get a hold of myself I should have most of my problems solved by the end of next week (I should finish moving my stuff this week, and save enough for a shitty notebook by next week. Oh dumb me why did I have to drink all my salaries instead of saving?)

I know about 2 people read this (one of those being me) but I remember someone bitching about "twitter style journals" so apparently someone cares about these, and I don't want people reading through my backlog and being dissapointed once I become famous as the new head admin of FA.

So it's been a week now that I've been sober and this must have been the worst possible week to stop drinking I mean seriously Jesus Christ.

The last two single friends I had started new relationships, which effectively turned me into the permanent third (fifth?) wheel. Now I imagine this happens to everyone on Earth, but being surrounded by basically nothing but people in that "early relationship glee" makes me want to choke cupid. Holy shit titfuck it's annoying, and I feel out of the place, like, all the time.

Also my friends once again started to enforce our long tradition of going to the local bars every single day after class, which is now fucking unbearable because I can't drink and whoever tells me I can have just as much fun drinking Fanta is probably some sort of tree-molester.

Also I went to my first alcohol-free party, meaning I had to take care of all my drunk friends. Weee. Then my second alcohol free party, at which point I realized it's hard having fun when you're 21 and sober and everyone else is drunk. So yeah, no more going to parties for me until New Years when I'll kill my liver.

Also, all of this has caused me to start smoking like crazy again. I must be saving some, I dunno, 40 bucks a week on booze but I'm easily spending that on fags now.

And now my roomate and my best friends are both in the next room with their respective gals drinking, and I've been hitting my head against the wall for 20 minutes.

I'm not an alcoholic by any stretch, I do have fun while sober, I do not need alcohol to work as a human being, and I've gone for stretches of time longer than a month without a drop, but it seems like a cruel joke that the one time I actively try to quit drinking for a while, the universe conspires to make me miserable for doing so.

After the last couple o' parties I've been to (and the last week or so drinking alone in my home because I'm bored) I came to the realization that a) I'm wasting money I simply do NOT have in booze and b) I no longer have a good time drinking. Barely crawling out of my depression, booze drags me back down and I've spent the last, I dunno, 8 or 7 times I've gone out to drink (with friends, at clubs, my birthday, etc) moping and being all around pathetic (and not in a "drunkard" way, I barely get tipsy. It's just that after 2 beers my brain resets into a shitty mood). So as an experiment, I am going to spend December booze-free and won't taste a single drop until new year's eve.
As a sidenote, I dyed my mohawk red. Also, my lack of a haircutting/shaving machine is rapidly turning it into a fauxhawk, and my beard and sideburns are going out of control.
