I'm honestly running out of old things to put up. At least, things that don't drum up feelings of said work not being up to snuff due to dealing with mental stuff and/or the hand.

I understand I could put up some of the newer work, as well. Still don't feel comfortable with it, either.

I want to thank everyone leaving comments, watches, and faves on my page and works. I don't usually give much fanfare for that kind of thing but I'm more than grateful since it shows that, outside of my little world of practicing stuff, someone likes it. I do look over each and every one and it brightens my day, even your FA is empty and you don't have an avatar (I'm not sure what the deal with that is. <_<).

Going to start trying to submit things more often and practice a hell of a lot less. What I've been doing over the past year is nothing but solid studies in lengthy blocks, trying to cram as much knowledge into my head as possible while I try to use it. While it's good to learn organically it's caused me to not really do any actual drawing and get very anxious over such. Most likely still going to do it once in awhile since it's a fun way to learn, but for the time being I'm going to focus on doing actual work work. Like the work I owe via commissions (furry and non-furry). I am thankful all my commissioners are patient, too while I've been trying to learn stuff to put into all this. If I wasn't such a disorganized mess I'd have this stuff out sooner, and that is my fault.

Lastly, I've been meaning to send a bunch of artists I admire various notes and things about me gushing their art and how I've been looking up to them over the months and years. Haven't done it on FA because I'm still working on not being so anti-social to most and bitter to some. If you get one between now and the next forever just know that it's genuine. I'm just oddly slow to type when it comes to mustering up...stuff.

I've uploaded a lot of small doodles and studies to Imgur over the past year because reasons (in addition to the normal crap that would go on imgur, like photos). Turns out, Imgur has a 225 image visibility limit and I hit that mark, oh...~70 images ago.

So that begs the question: would anybody like to see my junk? I already show people various images from the imgur gallery so it feels somewhat moot, just don't want to spam people's inboxes with crap.

...and I still lose hours of work to crashes in PS. (◡‿◡✿)

OOOOOOOOOOKAY. Still alive (for the most part). Just sort of spent a few sleepliness nights with the new computer. And then it became close to 2 weeks later. Jokes on me, though, my nights are always sleepless.

* I just did nothing but gaming for the past few couple weeks, because I have never seen anything hover at around 60fps before ever.

* Actually, I'm lying. I've been drawing a bunch for the past couple days, but really lightly. It's been something of a losing/building/regaining momentum experience.

* To this end I'm probably actually pretty sick to death of gaming, to be honest. MMORPGs have finally lost their charm, except if I'm RPing, I can't imagine investing any time in LoL, Dota, or HoN to get good (especially if I can't stand the communities), and I'd say games are all around losing their interest with me if it wasn't for various experiences that were/are coming from places I least expected. It's a definite shift, to be sure.


* You know what, I'm also getting tired of the tutorial spam. Learning so much is great but not applying it is horrible for everyone. So I think instead of holing up and buckling down, since I now have the speed to do so, I'm going to go balls deep and post everything everywhere. It also means rejoining old haunts, but hell I'm down for that. I need to fail faster.

* I have not forgotten about commissions, or IA commissions. Sorry it's been taking so long to get back to people.

* Oh my sweet lord and heaven it feels fun to have an internet browser with more than 6 tabs open. Especially when I can run other applications at the same time to do so.

* I can streeeeeeeeeaaam.

* I can also use Photoshop/Sai without lag or anything. The experience is both amazing and overwhelming, and hopefully I'll be getting betterer more smoothly.

* Can I just...say thank you? To all of you for this? Comparatively, this is a privileged position to be in, that I'm happy to be in.

EVEN MORE OF A PREFACE: This has nothing to do with FA, or Weasyl, or FA vs. Weaysl. At this point if having an opinion about that is like shouting to the Aether, and I don't have a megaphone or a platform to make a statement loud enough for people to hear. Whatever I would say on the subject would add nothing that has been said by others, or anything that I haven't said during the last time a month started with the letter J. If I do say something on the matter, it'll probably be on my tumblr at some point.

This has to do with my Iron Artist run and my misgivings of doing so. To that end: I'm pondering stopping my IA at what will seem to be the 15-18 picture mark. Those signed up/still have commissions outstanding have nothing worry about, I'll still be drawing those out, but I won't be adding anymore requests despite still needing a new computer (more on that later). I'm REALLY enjoying the chance to do draw things I normally wouldn't (or wouldn't get a chance to otherwise), but I feel like I'm doing subpar work as a result of trying to get things hastily done ("hastily" in huge ass quotations, mind you).

So...I figure I might as well take on normal commissions to pay for the rest of the computer. That way I can do a fair work for fair pay, do commissions I owe from over half a year ago (and I wouldn't be here without those, so there is urgency in honor and whatnot), and transition/keep going at a fairer pace. The offset is that the price will be able 10 usd more expensive for better work, so...bleh.

So..yeah. That's all I wanted to say. Sorry if this all sounds like word salad, too.

Before I go into anything: I'm still doing an Iron Artist run (Hopefully all the way up to 100) and I'm still doing the commissions I took on beforehand, still practicing into the hours of the night and day, still working on x y or z, etc etc. That has not changed. What has changed is that I've updated my FA profile and have added links to a few things. Important things that may need explaining and I can't take back. If there's any takeway from this journal it's that it's that I'm doing the opposite of withdrawing for once.

It's my tamer art account for some a lot of the less fetishy things I like about furry art (and art in general) and what's faved by that account and what will be posted on that reflects that. Long story short I draw and practice daily for hours on end, and when that runoff doesn't go into art it goes into these experimental as fuck sketchbook-like images that are on very large pieces of photoshop canvas. All of which are saved because this is probably the closest thing I have from a sketchbook (aside from my sketchbook posts on CD and CA). A lot of it is ugly, some of it is eyeballed work/studies from artwork I've seen on FA, Tumblr, Reddit, or elsewhere, but it's there if you want to see a bunch of scribbles that I do.

Just hope all of that makes sense.
