i'm not going to tell you who i think you should vote for, and i'm not going to ask who you are going to vote for, but if you have an opinion - if you've sat down and taken the time to learn about the candidates - don't take it for granted that your guy is going to win! even though it may not seem that way, your vote is important. if everyone just thinks 'well, everyone else will get it' then the election could wind up being really screwy.

i was going to write up this baller ass con report about fa:u where i'd be like yea man FA:U WAS THE BEST CON OF THE PAST YEAR FOR ME but there's not much point, really.  ablephellan did it better than i could anyway.

so, then what. i guess i just wanted to say THANK YOU, everyone. thanks for the good times, thanks for the good laughs, thanks for drinking all the wine. thanks for being awesome, thanks for keeping me company, thanks for sharing drinks with me, thanks for the hugs and dancing around in the halls and the chance to suit. thanks to fa:u for the $10 they donated to the charity for me, thanks to the hotel for being so cool, thanks to my awesome roomies for making it a great con to remember.

So, I don't 100% remember but I'm pretty sure you ran up to me at my first furbowl and got all like WHOA HEY LET'S TALK FOREVER and that was pretty cool.

2: What was your first thought?
I've always thought you were pretty neat! I actually don't really try and form an opinion about someone until I've known them a little while but what I landed on was that you're definitely one of the nicest people I've met and a good time to be around! Very easygoing.

2: Why is your fursona what it is?
Because I couldn't decide between something with hooves, a dog, or a kangaroo. I wish I had a more romantic answer than that.

3: What do you believe happens to you when you die?:

4: Dream Vacation?:
An island. Something with pretty water, and trees, and rain forest. Or maybe London. I want to see as much of the world as possible, in particular the really pretty places that make you feel small, or in touch with people from a really long time ago. I'd love to go to chichen itza, and to an english castle (I did it once when I was younger) and to see a monestary in tibet and a shinto shrine in Japan and the north pole and the taj mahal and Priyapat. So, I was in it. While I'm not really sure that getting as far as I did was any accomplishment on my part (I don't FEEL like I did anything) I do want to say thank you to everyone who was nice enough to vote for me.

After the fact, I feel like the whole thing was a little silly. It was definitely a fun little ego boost, but in the end the complete lack of solid criteria to vote on seems a bit arbitrary. Realistically, if we were being objective about it, I probably shouldn't have gone as far as I did. Plus, with how seriously it seemed some people were taking it I can't help but imagine that it probably wound up hurting a few feelings.

The one thing I really do like about it is that I get to see lots of suits I probably wouldn't have known about otherwise (like Anna Benning, man! Or Livewire!) that are totally cool.
