Posted 12 years agoI did a little spring cleaning in my gallery this morning, mostly just heinously old and embarrassing artwork that needs to vanish from the world forever and ever. I might still prune a bit more, so if there's something that you want to keep, I'd recommend saving it ASAP just in case it gets the ol' digital axe!
Since I'm taking 2013 off from working at conventions, I have more time to work on personal art and commissions. I'm working on a large commission right now and as soon as that's finished I'll be focusing on finishing up some personal stuff and gifts before opening up for commissions again. Not sure what I'll open for, but since badges are quick, fun and popular they will more than likely be available.

Looking for RP partners (PG-rated)
Posted 12 years agoUnconventional I know, but I'm tossing a wide net here!
Back when I was younger (and had more free time) I was a huge geek for online role-playing. I was a part of a free-form chat for many years and met a ton of interesting characters, the people behind them, and we played out all kinds of crazy adventures.
I've had the itch to RP again recently, and I'm having a really hard time finding someplace to play that isn't already set into an established setting or fandom. There are lots of animal-only RPs out there but I tend to enjoy playing human or human-ish characters more often than not, so that counts me out!
So, I figured that I would reach out to people online and see if anyone would be interested in starting a fun, PG-rated RP via IMs or whatever. I don't have a setting in mind but I lean toward more medieval-through-1800's settings, anywhere from jungles to steampunk cities.
Any type of character would be welcome, as long as it's an original character. As I said I lean more toward human-ish characters (elves, demons, etc) but furry characters are totally welcome! I would love to maybe get a group together eventually to have little adventures or whatever. :3
I'm a total nerd.
One caveat: you must be able to spell decently and have good grammar. No one has fun when they're trying to muddle through a post.

Hal-Con 2012
Posted 13 years agoHey peeps! Just wanna let you know that I'm going to be at Hal-Con in Halifax, Nova Scotia this weekend in the Artist Alley. This is going to be the last convention that I'll be working at for at least a year, so I'm going to be making sure I take lots of time to hang out with my friends. :)
I will be set up at table 8 in the Artist Alley Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I won't be open for con badges to be finished at the convention this year, but I will probably be willing to do sketches or do some badges for take-home stuff.

Harbour Con-Fusion
Posted 13 years agoYes, I WILL be selling at Harbour Con-Fusion at the Holiday Inn Express in Saint John this weekend. A table opened up last-minute and it was offered to me, and since I know a lot of the people organizing it I'm going to help them out.
SO! I will be offering the usual fare, charms, bookmarks, magnets and badges. I might also offer cheap pencil sketches too, depending on interest.
I do have a limited stock as I am mostly working with leftovers from Animaritime (didn't have the time or energy to get ready!) but I do have a little of everything.

As you can see these are done on heavy card stock, inked and colored with Copic and Touch markers so they won't bleed over time, mounted on a decorative backing and laminated so they'll last for years. I ship them with a badge clip as well!

I'm gonna be in the Artist Alley all weekend, selling pre-made bookmarks, stickers, charms and magnets. I will also be open for con badge commissions to be completed at the convention. Just look for my table banner or... my dorky-ass face. Gonna be staying in the convention hotel with my husband, who is helping me with the table and stuff.
Harbour Con-Fusion 2012 - July 28th -29th - Saint John NB
Just attending this one for fun, so I won't be chained to a table all weekend! This is the first year for this con so I'm not really sure what to expect. Same story, if you see me feel free to come over and say hi, because I'm just some internet loser furry. :) I might ask to host a panel on collecting and hunting old video games, if it turns out I have time.

Had a blast and can't wait for next year. I've got the PCD pretty bad and I miss my new friends from the Artist's Alley.

Vacation
Posted 16 years agoMy husband and I are going to be on vacation for a week, so commissions are closed until I get back. Hopefully we have a good time and I get some inspiration in Chi-Town!
