Moving soon
General | Posted 8 years agoI am just sending this message to update my followers that I'll be moving my page soon. The name really doesn't fit anymore and I want to distinguish my old inactive page from my new page which I plan to be more active and offer higher quality art on. New page is at

SweetCandyBottom I am working
General | Posted 9 years agoMy late project is nearly done. I decided to do a lot more work on it then I initially planned but it's coming out to be my finest work and will showcase everything that I've been learning and working for over the past few months. I have a feeling I'm not making art as efficiently as I can, but being self taught I guess that's the price you pay. In any case the newest work IS coming. As slowly as that may be, it's taking so long because as I said before there's A LOT of work going into it and I'm learning as I go. The practice is paying off though, as you guys will soon see!

An emotional rollercoaster
General | Posted 9 years agoFirst, my PC died (Boo), then I found a way to draw on my laptop (Yay). Then my laptop died, (Boo) but the next day I woke up to find that my father figure bought me a brand new gaming PC (Yay!) but I got horribly sick the very next day for a good week and was unable to use it (Boo), but I'm feeling better now (Yay) while transferring all my old files I found that the Hard Drive set itself to RAW and most of the files terribly corrupted (Boo)... Now I'm doing what I can to sift through the good files, the sea of internet cookie crap and random junk pictures that are the remnants of my old computers brains. Going to be a long day.
Trials
General | Posted 9 years agoSo with my PC broken I've lost access to all of my files, resources and art I was currently working on. Until I get a new PC I can consider all of them lost. Right now all I have to work with is my laptop and my corner nook which leaves me with a single screen and limited space to work with. I'm pretty much starting over. I'm sure I'm not the only artist to suddenly find themselves with limited tools and no resources to work with, but if they can make it through then so can I. I'll be working on a picture or two to get used to working with my new tools and hopefully I can work through it. We'll see; who knows, maybe it'll make my art better in the future. A little adversity is good for the spirit, right?
Derp
General | Posted 9 years agoAfter my move to Ft.Lauderdale my computer went and died on me. I lost all my current art projects and resources. It will still be a few months before I can replace it, so basically I'm in stasis right now. Sorry folks.
*Cries out to the heavens...
General | Posted 9 years agoI sat alone, eyes wide, mind broken. My eyes stuck open staring at my monitor after witnessing an artist who's far beyond me go from concept to fully realized picture in a matter of minutes using their tools with divine skills that I could not comprehend. Lines formed into curves, shades blurred and before long a picture emerged. To me it felt like my brain curled up into a ball and hid in a dark corner of my skull to weep. How could I ever hope to even begin to understand the complex processes that went into making a picture of this caliber? Then it occurred to me. I'd made a terrible error. Speed-paints are not tutorials. I'll never learn this way, instead I must commit myself to sticking to the basics. Slow, deliberate learning. There are no shortcuts, progress will only happen through effort and practice and suffering; but in the end it will pay off... I'm sure of it! I thrust my fists up to the heavens and shout "I will not give up!"
There's nothing else to do, my path is clear to me; frightening and difficult. I will find a guide, a teacher. I will commit myself to practice and learning and then perhaps maybe someday I can break someones mind too.

What the future holds
General | Posted 10 years agoAs many of you may have noticed from my recent works, I have started to become more ambitious with my art. My most recent work took me well near a month and still didn't come out nearly to what I had envisioned for it. Trying to learn something and do it at the same time is difficult, especially when I'm doing it on my own. Not to say that I haven't had any help, mind you. In any case I have mastered what I wanted to do with my line art and I was thinking it might be better just to stick to that for now, or at the very least some basic cell shading so that I get the fundamentals down and build up instead of trying to make artwork that's too ambitious for me to finish in any kind of timely manner. I just wanted everyone to know since this dumbing down might become apparent in my work. It's not that I'm getting lazy, I'm just realizing my limitations with lighting effects and working on building from what I know rather than trying to power through concepts I don't fully understand yet.
Leather Indulgence Fetish Fair in Orlando Florida
General | Posted 10 years agoHello everyone! I'm writing to let everyone know that my group (The Orlando Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) will be hosting a HUGE fetish vendor fair and CFL competition January 22nd to the 24th at the world famous Parliament House Resort! We'd like it very much if the furry community could make an appearance. I've been running the idea of raffling off a vendor table and room (or just the room if you have nothing to sell) for the weekend as well but I wanted to see if there was any interest for such a thing first. You'd be able to sell anything you want: Art, fursuit stuff, accessories, whatever you like as long as it's in new, "unworn" condition. Now, the event is two days long with vendors coming in from all across Florida. The official event info is below. If you have an interest in attending please leave a comment below. At the very least maybe I can get someone interested in going who doesn't mind sharing a free room there with me.

Entry
General | Posted 10 years agoI had a drawing in the works for Thanksgiving but unfortunately it's past the deadline. I'm starting on the Christmas one early so that it doesn't happen again. Still learning, still creating, just kind of learned a nice lesson about time management.
Happy Halloween!
General | Posted 10 years agoHappy Halloween! As promised I've been hard at work applying my new art abilities to new works and have finally uploaded the first example. I learned a few things from this, mainly to increase the size of the darned image before I start working on the lineart (It was pretty sad when I released what I did), oh yeah and also I now know how to DO the lineart so hooray! Please stay tuned for more, my beloved viewers!
I've learned a thing!
General | Posted 10 years agoSo after much trial and error and confusion I've finally figured out how to use the darned pen tool and make a proper ass line art from sketches. I've been very carefully reading through my material and crafting my very first piece since returning to art and (after beating my head against the keyboard a few times) it finally clicked on what I was doing wrong. Now I've been sailing through and I'm halfway through the first piece's line art. I took a moment to step back and take a look and I'm extremely pleased. It looks professional! I can't believe it, I should have learned this forever ago! No matter, I'm learning and I'm getting better at my craft and soon I'll be able to show the world the fruits of my efforts! Stay tuned, folks!
I'm back to drawing!
General | Posted 10 years agoHaving finally received the hardware and downloaded everything I needed to get back up and running I'm now able to start my digital coloring again, not only that but even drawing some of my own work. I'm learning how to use the tablet and it's going well so far. Hopefully I'll get my first work completed and posted up soon!
UPDATE
General | Posted 10 years ago*Update:* There's a ray of hope for me to finally get back into arting. My laptop is still quite dead but a friend has told Eve that they will send him a new (well, old but new to us) laptop and he said that I can have his old one when it comes in! This means I'll finally be able to set up my home art station and tablet center like I've been wanting and can start making delicious art and get my page back up and running! SOON FOLLOWERS... SOON.

Arting
General | Posted 10 years agoJust letting everyone know why I haven't been on recently or doing any arting. I'm currently in the middle of a big move. That's about it. After we're settled I'll be back and hopefully can get back soon!
*Update:* I haven't been on since March and probably will be gone for a while longer. I have too much going on right now in my offline life and I need to take care of some things before I can focus on my art again. Mainly need to fix my damn laptop, but I have no money since nobody's ever taken any interest in my commissions. Not making a guilt trip or anything, but it's the truth. Maybe once the laptop is fixed I can get back to regular arting but who knows when that will be at this point? Oh well :(
If you are interested my BF Patches is still doing art and commissions. Check his page out, he does pretty fembois <3

Paw print gear and helping strays
General | Posted 10 years agoHey there, I just wanted to put an ad up for this site on my journal because they have a lot of really cool paw print clothing and accessories that would be great for us furries but it also is also helping our truly furry friends as *Every Purchase Funds Food and Care for Rescued Animals.*
I thought the community would be interested in checking out some of the items available and helping out pets and animals in need!

The daily update journal
General | Posted 11 years agoI decided to make a journal to permanently sit at the journal section of my page and deliver updates daily in an effective manner without cluttering up everyone's "Journal" section by simply editing the same journal every day. Even if nobody reads it on any given day at least if someone is curious they can stop in and see what I'm up to.

My calling
General | Posted 11 years agoI'm just writing to update everyone on what's going on. I'm going to be coloring more often, I have a few works in line and I'm also going to be starting to create a furry RPG game. I'm hoping to have a fully customizable character creation interface that will allow people to choose their own species as well as color, and of course the option to give the main hero your own name.
It probably will take a while to get set up but as long as I can have all the options that I'd like to have on the character creation screen everything should go smoothly. I already have an epic story all thought up and I can't wait to share it with the world!
I'm hoping that this will:
1. Improve my work, so that I get to the creative level of the digital artists on FA that I look up to.
2. Show furry game makers that I have a talent for making furry games and maybe catch their eye.
3. Give an original and satisfying RPG experience tailor made for the furry gamer.
I have a lot of work in front of me so wish me luck!

Tablet and Photoshop basics.
General | Posted 11 years agoSo I recently got a book on Adobe Photoshop CS4 from my very informative library and started delving into the basics of using Photoshop and most of it's no-brainer stuff that I already know so far BUT there have been some very informative tid-bits which I did NOT know about that will be EXTREMELY helpful to me in the future. Only a quarter of the way through the book and already I'm feeling more confident with the tools and now at least I have an understanding of the basics that I didn't before. I also started to fool around with the tablet a bit and am pretty impressed with what it can do though I already have an unsteady drawing hand and have been using the mouse for so long that it's going to take a lot of mucking about to even see if I get any more than squiggles with the thing. So far I've practiced with some of the brush presets and line spacing and... now I'm droning on about stuff nobody wants to read about... Long story short *I'm learning.* Also I think it's nice to have journals that are more than just plugs for art, asking for money or portals to express rage and self pity. That's all I've been seeing recently and personally I like to see just updates on how people are doing in the day to day too. RAMBLING. Anyhow hopefully I can learn a lot more from the rest of the book and show improvement in both the speed and quality of my work in the future.
Tablet drawing tutorial. Anyone have?
General | Posted 11 years agoI finally got a tablet pen for the Turcom I got my BF for Christmas (The original pen was faulty) and he's going to start using it to draw with. I'm interested in taking a crack at using it too but I have absolutely no knowledge of how to use one, especially for drawing and coloring. Does anyone have any decent tutorials for me to check out so I can start my learning process off to a good start?
Back to work
General | Posted 11 years ago*Update: Art is coming along slowly but surely. Time is short and work is long as they say.*
Finally free to do some more art! I apologize to those who have been waiting patiently for me to get back to it, it really has been all but impossible to do anything art related recently. I'm back now and you can expect some brand new art to be available soon!

Autobuy rant
General | Posted 11 years agoI was going to keep quiet about this but I just can't keep it in any longer. I am so pissed off. Why am I so mad, you ask? Every time I'm ahead in an auction I'm doing well, I'm excited because I'm placing competitive bids, trying to get a decent deal in and then all of a sudden BOOM someone autobuys it out from under me. This has happened to me both very early and very late in the auction process and I've brushed it off until now but this last one really got my goat. In a multiple slot auction I wanted one of the slots, the bidding was at 35 dollars and the autobuy is 100 per character. I was currently in the lead and planning to ride it out until the bitter end when some guy comes in and autobuys BOTH DAMN YCH SLOTS. I know that I shouldn't get so upset about it but BOTH slots? Really? I mean I'm happy for the artist, I really am but I can't help but feel that I keep getting my hopes up for nothing and it's happening time and time again. Auctions should be auctions and sales should be sales. If you are going to put an autobuy on something it would be better to list it up and just sell the damn work rather than have people walk away from your page in bitter disappointment of getting a rug pulled out from beneath them.
Journal
General | Posted 12 years ago*Update*
PC is fixed and I'm back to coloring again. Only issue is I might have to buy a new mouse. Both the ones I have are dying in their own ways. Still haven't actually posted anything in a while but I AM working. Probably going to post the unfinished works into my scraps just so I do have something to show until they are completed. Will give it a thought.
*Old*
Just making a quick journal entry to air my grievances. The PC crapped out on me (power supply electrocuted itself to death) BUT I managed to hook up my laptop to the monitor so I can still do my coloring but all the work that I was currently in the middle of is now on hold until I can replace it. This has given me the opportunity to start working on coloring a picture that I've had on the back-burner for a while and I think it's going to come out very nicely. Going to be working on a brand new piece that was drawn by someone other than patches for once, not that there is anything wrong with that but I'm really excited that someone else has taken an interest in helping me perfect my skills... that and the picture so far is... pretty damn hot if I may gush a bit. Can't wait to see how the line art comes out!
