This weekend we finally were able to have my brother's services, so life should be getting back to 'normal', whatever that currently means for me. Plan on working on more of the sketches today, so if you haven't gotten yours yet, I'm back to plowing away at them. The last few days I've found myself weirdly unable to work, so I'm relieved to say I seem to be getting back into it, today.

As a positive aside: Some of you know that I've been dealing with increasingly horrid migraines the last several years, and been floundering for a regimen that works for me, and it seems like maybe I finally have one. Usually stress and travel are guaranteed migraine triggers, but despite all the travel and stress of this weekend, with the funeral and what-not, I managed to completely escape migraines. This is a hell of an improvement from the 3-4 a week that I was dealing with, just a few months ago.

Thanks for sticking with me through this, I'm back at it, now.

Nobody needs to read this, if you don't want to. Going to be discussing the death of a family member, a bit, just so everyone kind of knows where I'm coming from at the moment. For real, you don't have to read it, if you would rather not. Just thank you all for being here, and what not.

Yesterday morning, I woke up to a couple of missed calls from my little sister, and a text asking me to call her. I called her as soon as I got up, and she told me that our childhood home had burned down. Our older brother had been living there, and they had just found a body in the house, but weren't able to identify him. No known cause of the fire (though I have thoughts about it.), because the structure was completely destroyed, and since it was a fire related death, there has to be an autopsy and investigation before we can move forward at all.


I know this is all a wretchedly grim thing to read, and it was all so sudden that I'm still kind of in shock from it, I think. I've dealt with a lot of death in my family, but almost every time, there was some warning that it was coming. This felt so random that I'm not processing it well, yet.

I plan on still working on everyone's stuff, but I got a call this morning about a family tragedy, and I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to focus on work or even be at my computer reliably for the next day or two. That said, I don't believe that this will cause a real noticeable pause in my workflow, but I may not be around to respond to messages. Thank you all for reading, and for understanding.

I want to test drive a lower price-point commission, so I'm opening up, for now, sketch commissions! They're $25 each! Come get 'em if you want 'em!

Hi everyone, sorry for my long silence here.

For the last few months, I've had massive migraines (it's a lifetime thing, but lately's been especially bad) but it seems to be passing. For a bit, I was lucky to have a day or two out of a week where I was even half functional. I'm trying everything I've found online to combat them, etc. and hopefully a combination of things will work. I'm sad that I apparently can't eat cheddar cheese, though. We here have also had our share of anxiety/depression/etc. to deal with. More stuff than I care to talk about.

Anyway, it's October, which would normally be 'inktober' for me, especially since with the move last year, I wasn't able to complete it. However, Inktober's a bit 'tainted' this year, so I'm not going to be posting with that tag, but instead something else. I won't be using the standard inktober prompt list, either. I'm going to sell the pieces as I do them, too, if anyone wants them!

I'm back, I have a backlog of stuff to upload, and I'll try to get at it, and hopefully stay with it, at least for a while.

It's my birthday, so I'm going to be spending time not at all on my computer. I'll be getting to emails and things later, but maybe not today!

I'm not dead, but I've been SICK. it's been brutal, which is why I've been quiet here for so long. I'm pretty sure I'm over it totally now. I had a few glimpses of false hope that were followed by a relapse the next day, but I'm back on my feet now, and I'll get back to posting stuff!

As for what it was: I'm not sure. I didn't go to the doctor. My symptoms were inline with what's been going around, but they weren't 'life threatening' so I didn't want to clog up the doctors' offices, and what not. I mostly just slept and was miserable.

I think I'm gonna sell the pieces, just as I post them. Gonna give my Patreon supporters first crack at 'em, then stick 'em here for sale. All that money's going into my 'moving out of Florida' fund, since my lease is up in November!
It's gonna be a rough month, with commissions, packing, my sister's wedding, finding a new place in Virginia, and all, but I'm gonna do it!

I've nearly cleaned off my entire queue, so if anyone wants art, now's the time!
