Hello, I know its rather last minute, but if you are around the Bloomington Indiana area, I'll be hosting a BBQ July sixth for Furrys not attending Anthrocon. I just want to have some fun and relax plus I haven't BBQed in a while. The Belfry has space for those that need to spend the night (I prefer people not drive inebriated).
If you need directions to the Belfry let me know and I'll note them over to you.

If you would like to bring something, Chips Sodas Salads Desserts are all good ideas. Feel free to bring alcohol but please be responsible.

I have room space available for Morphicon starting Thursday May 2nd through Monday morning May 6th at the Holiday Inn. I am expecting with taxes and tips to housekeeping that we will be somewhere around 100 to 125 so I'll be collecting 125 from each person and then issuing a reimbursement on Monday to everyone. I prefer advance payment via paypal but am willing to discuss alternatives.

The room is two queen beds so plenty of space.

Alcohol is permitted.
The room will be fursuit friendly (There already is one fursuiter)
No smoking
Respect of roommates is important. keep your belongings tidy, and don't mess with the belongings of others. If I catch a person in the belongings of another without permission I will eject them from the room without reimbursement.

First off I would like to thank all of my watchers new and old as I give welcome to my recent new watchers. After a bit of a hiatus I've started buying some art again also entering as many raffles as I can (I promised I'll keep raffles bundled in labeled journals so as not to be overly SPAM). I have more art on the way and I've been opening some old folders of artwork ideas.

Currently I'm waiting on a replacement to my old laptop that has suffered a fatal loss of power, and am operating solely on my iTouch. I'm impressed by its capabilities but its limitations can be irksome. Highest on the list being that it limits my writing capabilities. But I have another computer lined up so soon that should be resolved.

In my life I now look upon April first with mild trepidation, my job is transitioning from overnight to an early 4am routine. I will enjoy the ability to do more evening/night type things with my friends and my pay rate supposedly won't be adversely affected so these are positive. However a larger portion of my time will be spent when we have customers in the store and that will alter our productivity. So long as I'm still able to have my requested vacations off ill be happy.

Speaking on conventions, they both were difficult choices but I've decided not to attend FCN or Califur this year. FCN has some mixed memories but on the whole has been a great time and I was not letting that be a factor. However most of the people I wish to go (and room) with we're not able to attend. I decided to skip it this year so I could better devote monies to Morphicon and Califur. Then more recently my plans for Califur had to be dropped for some personal considerations. I've reconsidered FCN but I with the room canceled and the difficulty on getting time off altered again I put the money elsewhere.

I'm going to try to be more active with my journals. But often I'm unsure what to write and it just becomes a ramble.

Saying “Goodbye” is always the hardest part.
I’m sitting in the Amtrak station looking out at the snow. My bags are all checked and I have an hour to kill before I leave Rochester. Furry End of the World was a great convention and I wish I could have stayed longer to help with strike. Final dinner with Soron, Etheras, Legion, Sasuke, and Corral was amazingly good, as we discussed the idea of Furry Con.com 2013, International Furry Conspiracy. I see the buildup to this Convention as being a fun joke within the community.

FEotW was great, there really was so little of the drama that is so often smeared over all Conventions. It was small, comfortable, and intimate. We got to know each other have fun together and party nonstop. And because it was a 21 and up only Con, most of us had moved slightly past the High School mentality.
My train is now boarding. I’m cued up outside in the biting wind and slowly we fill the packed train. After a bit of jostling I’m now seated and the train is pulling out. I guess I’m crying now, good bye Rochester

My roommates were Lucas Wolfox and Janu Lirka and this bat couldn’t have asked for better company. Janu and I took the train together from Indianapolis and it was a pleasant if long trip. We had a 12 hour layover in Chicago, which I barely look forward to repeating alone. We wandered the Windy City’s streets letting whim and fate carry our feet, and by luck we found the little Athens area. We killed several hours in the PanHellenic Museum and then had an amazing meal at a nice tiny restaurant.

It now is Monday evening I’ve slept a lot and arrived back in Chicago. I’m starting to hear about the Firefighter shooting in Rochester and it sickens and scares me. I’m trying not to let it depress me but I was just so close to where that was and it’s such a heinous act. I have a few hours here and then it will be back on the trains to Indy.

When we got to Rochester, Janu and I checked in to our room and did some unpacking before heading out to get some groceries. The front desk gave us terrible directions so we walked into the wrong part of town and found an Audi’s. I don’t think Rochester liked people with purple hair because several passerbys deliberately placed Janu betwixt me and them. I of course laughed. We got back to the hotel just in time for Lucas to get the arrival call from Lucas and I finally got to be face to face with my friend. More unpacking and we then made our way to the Lotus Garden, which had the charm of being very close, but was a tasty meal. Registration was fast but Janu and I nearly didn’t receive our canteens. Up in the Con Suite was the first of many night parties and we hung out until a request for volunteers went out. Janu and I spent a large chunk of the evening helping with initial setup on the dance hall. Finally Soron said we couldn’t get anything else done, so we went back to the party and kicked back some more.

I’m now hurtling through Illinois and Indiana on the Amtrak 850. It was a fast layover in Chicago and I met a few nice people while waiting around including an overly friendly service dog, she was so cute. I’ve been watching the Dark Knight; Batman Trilogy, because I love it and it distracts me.
Friday Janu left early to rejoin the Vault setup and Lucas and I slept in. None of us had slept much the prior night because I set the temperature to 78 which cooked us all. Once we finally roused Lucas and I worked up a good sweat running, which is a passion for both of us. Feeling refreshed Lucas suited up and we wandered the Con meeting other furs and checking out the rooms. His suit is gorgeous so everyone wanted to say hello to him. Most of the panels were canceled due to the presenters getting snowed in, which is a shame because we were interested in a few. We visited Janu in the work site a few times and saw the chaos unfold itself into an actual Dance Hall. We hung out with Dizzy for a while and for dinner went to Stromboli Express for pizza. We got mildly lost walking back to the hotel and if wind hadn’t been so cold it would have been a great time. Dinner was great and we then got ready for the opening dance. A bit late but the dance was great. Janu rejoined us and we were soon joined by Shroud. After a lot of fun at the dance and me getting to kiss someone very special during the countdown to Apocalypse, we went up to Dizzy’s Bro Room Party to hang out and duel with nerf swords; much to the regret of a badge.

[i]We’re taking a short stop in Lafayette and I’m able to poach some wifi. I did some quick check ins with friends went through twitter and stretched a bit. The smokers are climbing back in from the cold so I’d better sit back down. I’m tired and not in that I need to sleep tired, I’ve been dozing off and on for the past twenty four hours, but that doesn’t feel like rest.

Most of Saturday was a blur. I ended up assisting Soron at registration and quickly received several secretarial jobs. I assisted in the Fursuit parade and the hunt and had a great time.The kids from the Turkish cultural group loved the suiters, it was fun watching them get excited when a suiter walked by. Getting fursuiters together for a picture is an interesting chore, but everyone had fun. I had to drag one suiter off of an iced over bridge. Hung out in the Dealer’s Den for a while caught the Fursuit Dance Competition. Dinner was in the hotel’s restaurant, none of us wanted to go back outside. I missed most of the dance that night trying to type up tickets for the raffle; the hotel’s printer is terrible and needs a mercy killing. By the time I was done with my project I had a terrible headache so I danced a bit grabbed my T-shirt and then curled up in bed.

Well my train finally arrived in Indianapolis. Its 11:55 PM on Christmas Eve and I’m freaking out badly. My checked luggage isn’t here and won’t be here for 24 hours if that. “Here’s the problem with this. I won’t be here in 24 hours.” I get assurances that the issue will be fixed, but I’m less than placated.

The Sunday was bittersweet. We got the room packed up quickly and then went around to be with people. As the day went on more farewells were exchanged and the population diminished. Closing ceremonies were good and the next year’s convention was revealed to much applause. Once the sound and fury abated, we started to tear down the dance hall.

Took a bus from Indy to Bloomington, I’m home and warming the Belfry up. I loved the trip and had the best time at FEotW, smaller conventions are nice for their sense of community. I hung out a lot with  Janu  Lucaswolfox  DizzyFoxx Shroud,  Jake_bolt  Luckychance02  Soron1991  Shy_Matsi and so many others. There were people I wish I spent more time with, but there will be more Conventions.

The bags arrived and Amtrak sent them to the Belfry via taxi. I felt bad for the driver, an hour to Bloomington with only bags then an hour back with snow fall. I hope he charged them a huge amount.

Went and had a great time. Actual Co report is written I just need to edit spell check it. hopefully will have it up on Monday
