Posted 8 years agoGot more items out this week. I am now down to one more that needs to be shipped and then that should be it!
This weekend, I'm probably not going to be super active. I'm going to meet up with some local makers (some new, some old, some trying to get back into it) and maybe have a work day with them all. That should be neat, expecting at least 3-4 folks to show. From that I may end up doing a collab with one of them, and if I do expect to see it here.
Other than that, more pre-made work, going to focus on handpaws, tails and experimental work.
And I am so sorry for the recent few who keep getting short notes from me. I'm flustered having to be off my leg from getting it hurt and trying to do a lot of things at once. And because of that I'm forgetting to say things I should have covered in note 1 instead of note 6-7. Haha...

Crafty where have you been??
Posted 8 years agoI've been wanting to brief people with my potential absence but things escalated faster then expected so I had to go before I could.
I'm located in the Northern region of California and currently the solano area (near where I live) has been dealing with disastrous fires. Now my town has not been effected by the fires yet, but we've gotten hazardous smoke warnings (not to go outside to breathe, lock and seal doors/windows) and to prepare for potential evacuation. Our schools were closed and a couple of stores were as well during all this and were had power going in and out. I had to bag all of my clothes, fur and fursuit items in an attempt to keep the smoke smell out of them. My family also had to go out to Suisun to help my friend and her family get what they could before they had to evacuate their home. That was frightening, and they're staying with us for the time being because their area still isn't safe.
The smoke has lightened up in my town, but if the winds pick up again we'll get another warning and we're having to keep watch on the direction the fires are heading while they're being contained.
WITH THAT SAID! I have shipped out two of the 5 items I'm behind on shipping. And I have refunded 1 of those because of the time it's taken to get it out (which I understand).
If anyone else prefers to be refunded just send me a PM. I don't mind at all. I see I've got a few new PMs and I'm going to get to them. I'm so sorry. ;o;
ETA: As a heads up: From now on my shipping days will only be Fridays/Mondays because of school. I can't manage to do it any other days anymore because of how late get out from studies.

Posted 8 years agoMonster puppet is going to NJ! Once it arrives I can update my goal for two head armatures as complete and move back to my previous goal (completing this Pokemon Cosplay).
Lol, I pulled the corgi WIPs down because gosh darn it it's so close to being done it was silly of me to post it as it is now (that an I got some critique I want to see if I can make some slight changes now). Fullbody coming soon!
Got someone interested in the black dog head so may update that one soon. I'm also getting a little too nitpicky with the red panda so I'm putting it aside to look at later with fresh eyes since I've been focusing on that one lately the most.
ETA: Working down the line, I've got a trade in the works as well-exciting!

Posted 8 years agoBeen a few days since my last update! I need to catch up on some notes and emails I haven't had a chance to finish reading or reply to.
Corgi might be kept for a bit rather than sold right away.
Hyena/Koll has sold and is on it's way to Canada!
I'm making bodysuits and tails to go with some partials and heads (like the black fox).
Red Panda is practically done, I need to take pictures and look it over.
Pokemon Cosplay has been started, but until I can find some matching fur it won't get completed in the time being.
And once the Hyena Arrives to it's home I will be able to buy a new head armature! <3 <3

New goal
Posted 8 years agoGoing to have to focus saving up for a new head armature (or two?) my current one got damaged so I won't have a base to work or display heads on. It's duct-taped for now (haha) but that's only going to hold for a little. I don't like working without a base or else something could go wrong so that's why I'm going to prioritize getting a new one soonest I can.
I got an estimate of $200 for two new armatures (or $103 for one) so that's my goal now.
I'll have a black dog head ($150-200) or as a partial ($300?) up for sale this weekend to go towards getting these armatures. If that doesn't work I'll also have an older white bodysuit ($100) up for sale as well.
I'll even do tails for low cost as well.
Thanks for reading, any suggestions of what else I could sell to help would be great.
EDIT: I was able to purchase one armature head, now I can get back to work and save up a bit more for one more.

3. Dog head base is still up for grabs as is or complete ($130 as is, prive depends on design if complete)
4. Artslave head and tail is still available. I may make some realistic hands to go with it in hopes of helping that sell.
5. Red Panda bodysuit may have some feet coming in. Got a head base started for it too since the body is not selling by itself.
And a cosplay being planned, but can't find matching fur so no luck yet.

Posted 8 years agoTrying to prioritize what to put up next based on what folks interests are but I haven't been getting any input so I've just been going with what muses me at the time.
Next is going to be a toony dragon partial (option to go full).
Following that I guess a corgi (partial with option to go full). Afterwards I don't know, I'd love suggestions or request if they're general things. I'd love to get some items sold if I can.
