Fur Angel
Posted 5 months agoIt's been a while since i post a journal, my life has been busy, but I am alive I swear, honestly not much has changed, 23-24 has been a roller coaster ride, I lost my dog Max to old age 18, my gecko Clinger 6 and snake Fidget 8 to a broken heater during a cold snap that took out power, and my oscar fish of 11 years Smoky to a failed tank in the span of two weeks with my birthday in the middle, then my Uncle passed away six weeks later in the new year.
My parents seeing me head for a round of deep depression from losing the uncle I was close to and so many of my pets at once, told me to go find a dog, I got to looking and found out the local shelter was having a special pay what you want adoption event, I went in, and found a few, they were adopted out before I got a chance to get them.
Then the tornado outbreak hit, the entire city was in chaos, my area got lucky and only had tree and wind damage, took weeks to clean up the neighborhood.
I decided to try again at the shelter, the first dog I went to look at was a huge mastiff/gsd hybrid, looked like a giant teddy bear, he was adopted before I got a chance to sit with him, the next was a husky/mix, she was a good dog... got adopted right after while I was sitting with a Lab, that had way to much energy for my elderly parents that I rent from.
The last dog for the visit was a 1-year-old? GSD that had been found in the hardest hit part of town, Lue as the shelter named her came in and sat in front of me, i offered my hand to her and she sniffed then put her paw in it, I laughed gave her a treat, and she got up on the bench as I pet her, the staffer that was there was surprised that she did that as she had disliked three other guys that she had been seen by.
needless to say Lue was renamed, as my niece's dog is Lulu, Angel has now been with me for almost a year, she has shown me that some dogs are too smart for their own good, and life has a way of making things interesting.
Angel clearly had some training as she (mostly) follows basic commands, I had to get an E-collar, that I removed the shock feature from as she just needs to hear the beep and she is right at my side, she loves fetch, tug and keep away, she responds to a dog whistle by looking at you and then goes back to what she was doing, I taught her wait, she stops and lets me mess with her leash, wait for traffic, she stops at my side a sits as we wait for the road to clear, Cross, it's safe to cross the street and she goes.
leave it, drop it, and give are works in progress.
It hasn't been all calm seas, she is a digger, I had to line the back yard with blocks, she has a high pray drive (why I got the e collar) and has gotten two rabbits, a 3moles and a garden snake. She escaped the yard a few times, luckily, she came back or was found, and I was called.
She is now my 80lb alarm clock, if it hits 7am and I am not up, she gets on my bed and flops on me.
Over all Angel has become my saving grace, she has brought as much joy into my life as a pet can, I love her almost like a child and she is spoiled by me, I know it wasn't a long gap between her and Max, but she has saved me from the dark path I was headed towards.
I make sure she gets walks and play fetch with her.
Onto other life things, I am looking for a new job, the store I work for has cut my hours to the point I can't afford rent, thankfully I rent from my folks, so not going to be homeless, I am looking at maybe if I can get a better one getting Angel a playmate as she gets so lonely and withdrawn while I am at work, and it was fun having my nephews puppies over as she was being a good cousin and playing with them.
I guess that's it for now.

Not a Good Bye
Posted 2 years agoI think that i have been kidding myself, I joined this community after i found i liked fur suits, (still don't have one, but got every thing but the skill to put it together.) i liked the being someone and something else, I loved the ideas... but now as i enter the gray muzzle age, i realize i never truly found a place where i could be happy with someone, I am almost always alone, in 2021 i had a brush with death and ended up in the hospital, had a major surgery and almost died on the table, i turn 40 this nov. and i am tired of being alone, all of my friends that i hang out with are 50 plus, an i know i will live to see them pass.
I am making a resolution to myself to try and make friends my age, to actually find someone i can share my life with, the realization of I almost died, has kinda set me on edge, the depression of not having a partner has taken its toll, i am such an introvert its hard to go out, I don't drink often, i don't smoke because i am allergic to tobacco and weed, i dislike needles to almost a phobic level, so no tattoos, and i know i have trust issues thanks to years as a security guard.
but i think its time i put my Coyote to bed, after years of working on his story, my characters and fursonas are going into the file of stuff to play with later, I need to figure myself out right now and get my ass in gear, Thank you to all that watched me, I will be back and I will never forget the enjoyment i found in the community.
P.S. I will still check on my account, it will just be less often, so if you leave me a note, i might be slow to reply.

I know these don't get read but...
Posted 3 years agoSo... its been a hard year, I lost a job, had a major surgery got the super bug twice with the shots, got a new job, almost lost it, family issues driving me up the wall and have had a case of writer's block on the coyote story that even spin off stories have me hung up and unhappy, I took a break from the coyote line entirely, I have been writing soft fiction and not so soft fiction, I started a line I am calling the accidental harem, pretty much following a guy that gets sucked into a fantasy rpg world as his dungeon master character, finds out he wasn't human to begin with and that his made up world was made from memories hidden by his parents so he could find his way back from earth, so far he's found out that the world he is in now, your relation to those around you isn't about the way you think, its how the world pushes you together, his second day there a mythical critter claimed him, third day there he was married to the Kitsune Vixen that saved him and almost married to the Emperor's eldest daughter by force, all while trying to figure out why he is being hunted by power hungry beings and fending off a demon that wants to... collect him... its a really fun story for me and a challenge to write given my history of "lack of partner".
But who knows this grey muzzle may find someone some day.
But who knows this grey muzzle may find someone some day.
So i know i have been silent...
Posted 4 years agoSo... let me sum up what's gone on... Writing... been trying the finish the Coyote Story... work... never have a set scheduled makes focusing on writing almost impossible... social life, whats that idea?
Pretty much since my job decided I was essential even with stuff that I was hired to do shut down, I worked else where in the store, now that we are reopened in my department, the still haven't balanced the schedule out and the new system can change it with out notice, my phone has saved me multiple times from the write ups for being late or to early, yeah that was new to me too.
As far as the stories I have been working on, I have been stuck with writers block on the Coyote, I tried just taking a break, but it hasn't helped, I took the chapters I have and broke them up to refine and expand on them, I was planing on at least two maybe three small books just to break the story up... but at this point i and sorta losing hope at ever finishing one book.
Apollo the Fairy's story got eated by me ded nert blok ad fil curpteeed... some thing like that, also computer issues haven't helped with the writing possess, I have been working on fixing the corrupted story and hope to have it up on FA by years end... my free time permitting.
Other stories in the works while i figure out how to make Coyote's work are...
Long Shot, a space adventure with a group of people racing against the possible war with a bug like race, I just started to write this one, but it has a good flow.
Fright Train, (on hold due to current events) a super flu, literally turns your average person into a super powered person, the catch is, you have to play host to an alien symbiotic creture.
Iron Fox, follows a {Pathfinder RPG Character} Kitsune who retired from adventuring only to be called back into service to fight off a (yet to be identified or in my case made up) spell caster that is sending golem like creatures in to slaughter innocents of the kingdom he helped build after killing including his mate and youngest child.
Primal, A random genetic defect causes people and animals at random to turn into monsters, some times as (a size ref.) Godzilla in size, the main character in this story is a young man that tries to carve out a good "human" life while working two jobs, just getting engaged to his longtime friend and then having to deal with a governmental agreement to take on the big ones like himself as a huge shape changing burrowing dragon like critter.
Unlikable Hero, another mega monster story, it follows a young man as he works to get his and his friends human rights back after turning into a werewolf... an eight hundred foot tall werewolf. this one was started at the same time as primal to see what direction I wanted to go, this one got a little political and well got shelved for the time being till I can weed out some issues.
Honor of The Wolf, a young man drafted into the military intelligence as a spy in WWII gets caught and taken to a remote base in the mountains and turned into a beast, that thanks to the imprisoned scientist, kills his captors and ends up back on the allies side of the fight along with the new recruits for joining him as a monster. the idea is Germany found a burial sight of a werewolf... it is were i got the idea for freight train, Aliens came to Earth and helped jump start man kind's evolution to fight of literal space dragons... shelved because i got distracted and forgot about it.
More in the world of Coyote, i thought it would be cool to see how the side characters that defined the child hood of Coyote's life got to be where they were,
The Witches Seed, "The Iron Bear" or Director Irons got his story first, a Colonist in the United States during the witch hunts is gifted with power by a dying friend, gets gifted with a Totem's mantel by a young god that seamed to be far beyond his scope of time (the young coyote) and finds himself as the best friend of a Totem {the older coyote}, who tells him he is a key player in saving the world's future.
To Survive a Coyote, Angelica S. the adopted mother of the young coyote the main story, Finds herself partnered with the agency's only known Demi-power and has to keep her Coyote (the older one) inline if she wants her promotion to Director of the Central Command. This one is also going to be how Fritz gets his place as head of R&D in her command and setup to be the younger coyote's adopted father.
There are Dozens upon Dozens of side stories for this world, I am even looking into building a RPG playable companion for this world and have started asking players and other writers if they would like to help or even make a story in my world...
Like ours but with magic and mythical critters that came back to our world during ww2.
(Also there are hybrids, the main character is three parts god one part fae, so any combination is possible... since other worlds do leak into it, as there is a cartoon character walking around and millions of alien races since it is space high fantasy if you want to inject "your character here" I like ideas.)
If you want in on the yet to be named Coyote World (work in progress), drop me a note with your email and I will talk with you about the details of the world, just remember this world is exactly like ours, just embellished a little, names and places can be changed, but the idea is to stay within the realm of our world, the workings of this world function similarly.
Your work will be credited to you, I am not a thief.
other than that, till i can break through the wall i hit and can finish the 2013 to 2023 story, with out skipping to the future, i am just writing brain storm ideas.

So... yeah... i live
Posted 5 years agoSo I am alive, I have managed to avoid the virus going around... no longer a dept. manager, still writing, but with the computer scheduling my time off like a drunk monkey smacking a red button not a lot of time to devote to it.
I might be dumping my works on here for someone else to take over, its hard to focus when you wake up go to work go home and sleep till its time to go back to work the next day because I have less than eight hours between shifts

Possible story, Stories update and life update
Posted 8 years agoYes i am still alive, i got promoted at my job, I am now a Department Manager, i love it about sixty percent of the time.
I got hurt at work had to have surgery, for the record hernias suck.
The good news is I plotted a new course for the Coyote and his crazy adventures and the story seems to be trotting along well. The Apollo story (Set in the Same World) is on hold till i work out the details of Agent Coyote and his team, since the two stories are somewhat inter linked.
But in my drug induced state from pain meds, most of which i was sleeping, i came up with a story idea to help it along so it didn't feel as dry and drawn out.
Look for a sample in the next few days, yes it is a rough draft but that's how stories evolve.
Agent Coyote update:
The story doesn't start at the end of the world now, it's has a bit more action and builds puzzle... ish.
Apollo the fairy:
Story on hold for Agent Coyote since the stories are interlinked.
Other Works:
A story about a man who inadvertently saves an alien princes by eating her poised meal by mistake and is carted off to her world against his will (somewhat) to be her husband.
A Super Hero with a twist; He sets up the villains with their own empires to keep them in check and smacks them down when they break the game plan... while he makes a healthy income off their setup fees. (Working title, Villains Inc.)
And this one was when i got writer's block, The NPC. Guy writes up a character for a new game his DM wants to run, with the last pen stroke he finds himself stuck in the Character's head, A magic clone in his place in the real world and himself/character as an agent of the gods working his way across a High Fantasy world with a stack of his old characters for company and a NPC that he has helped and encountered through out her life. Curses, pirates and a lot of trouble find follow them to their goal.
P.S. I am looking for ideas on story worlds to send Agent Coyote into, so far I have same fan fiction of Monster Hunter International, Zootopia (Go figure.), the Dresden Files and for giggles, the New Coyote series none of the fan stuff will be in the main story mind you, but River loves to get lost (literally) in a good book and i find it fun to toss him into the story and try to stay with in the other writers' cannon. They will be posted here for you to read when finished.
