I suppose I should update
Posted 11 years agoHaha I'm still using this as just an art site. I thought it proper to update my last journal. Can't leave you on a cliffhanger I suppose hehehe.
Halfway through my first year of my law degree. Got into second semester law. The philosophy department has taken notice in my success in my past papers and is offering aid in my future career in that field!! City life is cool. Been to an opera and a couple plays. Dirty though.
Single again. It was a decision I made for the best. Anyway that was a while ago, 5 months. Going well. Good life :)
Feel free to flip me a note if you wanna catch up for old time's sake.

I don't particularly use furaffinity per se. That is, not as a social website anymore. I still bounce on my skype on the odd occasion. You can catch me there sometimes.
I got accepted the the university of my choice. It's incredible. Going to study law.... Wish me luck.
Still have my boyfriend, been together about half a year. Luckily we are oth moving together so nothing will be disrupted.
I have a job, so that's good. Lol
I think I must make an official goodbye, however. As I said, I do not speak on here. So saying goodbye to all the wonderful people I have gotten to know now is a must. You guys have seen me probably in my darkest. For that I apologize hahaha. Puberty and teenhood can be rough. I heartily wish we all met in different circumstances that we might better know each other. But for what it was worth, thank you for the amazing time. You'll see me favor art still, but that'll be it. See you all on the flip side :D and take care.

Posted 13 years agoOk guys, you remember way back when I took this ACT test as a freshmen that didnt count but I scored high on?? Well now about a year later, the Midwest had finally got to my results out of the whole lot, and now THEY WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE. I don't like email all that much, I bores me, and I'm lazy so I don't check my mail for a week and my WHOLE INBOX IS BEING SPAMMED BY COLLEGE LETTERS!! Gaaahhhh! I was overjoyed when I got big Midwest names at first, but now it's just annoying.
Never thought one would rant on something like that especially at my young age. Oh well lol I'm not mad, it's just that I groan when it see all of them.

You see everyone, a friend of mine that I hang out with was the BIGGEST Dr. Who fan. Now, I am a star trek fan, always will be, so I naturally am repelled by any other kind of sci fi show, because I believe it is cannot be as good. I just can't. But this friend of mine talked me into watching one teeny little episode with the new doctor.... I AM TOTALLY HOOKED! I have watched every single Doctor Who episode from its come back in 2001. And I have watched it in 2 weeks. I am so passionate now about it!!! I actually almost cried when Matt Smith (current Doctor) was put into this giant metal prison called "The Pandorica." Is that weird?
Anyway, LOVE YOU GUYS! *HUGS*

Posted 14 years agoAll of you know that Heath Ledger (R.I.P.) played a wonderful part in Batman's The Dark Knight. Now Jack Nicholson's performance in Tim Burton's Batman was outstanding; it was a perfect representation of DC's comic book villian... The Joker.
BUT HEATH LEDGER ROCKED THE JOKER!!!!
The new Batman movies gives a new twist to the original story to make it more in sync with our modern age. The Joker in the Dark Knight takes the role of an insane monster who has no complete motive. All hollywood villian had a motive, mostly centered around money. They never seem to touch the possibility that some people may be just destructive.
The Joker's philosophies are simple, people are two sided, lying about how civilized they are. He attempts to shatter that reality and make people see that they are just simply animals.

For those in school, I hope you guys have had a good first (maybe second) month of school. Its smooth sailing from here on out. School is great.
For those not in school, I hope you guys are having a good time too.
I'm writing this journal because something rather unexpected happened that made me think I should share this. A person who I would consider a foundation in my life asked me about the meaning of life. He had a very stressful day and was very tired. He asked me what does it all mean. Why do we suffer, can't prayer change the outcome in our lives? I paused thoughtfully and started giving book references.
I told him a brief summary of the book Dune and a few of its sequels (good books). I told him about how the main character became so enlightened that he could see the future, but he then no longer could "not" see the future. He was trapped by the fact he was able to avoid life's hardships. In the sequels, he tells his son not to follow down the same path as he did. Instead, he told his son to choose a Golden Path were everything was a surprise. His son grows up to find joy in experiencing both his pain and pleasure. In fact, he is thrilled when his subjects (he is a king) over throw him and kill him, asking how they planned it and was so happy to surprised by it. So dont be angry and stressed that things happen, they happen because they can, plus they wont matter once your dead and long gone. I doubt your spirit actually cares about how you got a parking ticket.
As for prayers and "making things happen by positive thought", I quoted my favorite lines from Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. The part I quote is where, in the book, Siddhartha is leaving gurus (for he is from India and is Hindu) because he feels he is not at peace with himself, he cant find comfort in the way these gurus are living. So he goes and tells the head guru he is going to leave. the guru tries to "bewitch" him to stay, only to be "bewitch" by Siddhartha in return. "My, it takes a lot to bewitch an old man like me... I have not doubt if you stayed you could learn to walk on water." Siddhartha turns back at him as he is walking away. "Old man, why would I want to?" Guys, prayer may or may not work the way you think it does. Next time you pray, think about who you are talking to. Are you asking him once again to help you on a test? Like I said before, I doubt your spirit cares about the petty hardships we all experience in life, so why would God? When was the last time you prayed just to talk to God?
There last thing I reminded this person was what we are supposed to be doing here. "Love your neighbor as yourself," and "You must love the lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind." He then smiled at me and thanked me. Guys, life is roughly 80 years. Are you going to spend it worrying about the stupid petty things that draw attention and depress you? It's a waste of energy. In the Hindu scriptures of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Vishnu (God, in the Hindu holy trinity) says that the Self or the spirit is beyond the world and that it is untouched and unscratched by actions in life. DONT DWELL ON THE BAD. Dwell in God.

School is about to start. Yay!... Premature? Lol maybe. Well I'm still anxious to "get it over with." I have some awesome classes. I am taking two sciences. Woohoo! Advanced Placement Biology and Physics. FUN!!!!
I'm going into Algebra 2 finally!! Could have been sooner if not for moving all around the place and starting new schools and having to take pre algebra 3 TIMES cause they wouldn't let me advance!!!!
Oh well.
I have read some great books: Atlas Shrugged, Slaughterhouse 5, Sirens of Titan, Thus Spoke Zarathustra and I'm gonna read more!
I'm playing on reading both the Bible and the Koran. You gotta know all ways of thinking if you are to understand people.
My piano playing skills have shot up tremendously. I am working in a very beautiful score feature in the movie New Moon. Sounds amazing, if I do say myself. I'm soon going to be studying music theory. I will also see if I can preform as a guest musician with a very good friend's band.
I'm taking driving class. I am going to be taking my temporary license test on Tuesday of next week. Wish me luck.
I recommend a very good movie called a Clockwork Orange. Reminds me te book 1984. It's directed by Stanley Kubrick. You may know him by the movie The Shining. (another great movie). I have watched so many famous films this summer. My eyes are burning.
