Important information about a deleted post!
Posted 3 years agoI found out today that the commissioner of one of my commission ref sheet orders has not received permission to use the reference he gave for "his" character. The character in the art in question was therefore not originally created by the commissioner himself, but stole the appearance of the character from another creator with small changes. Because of this, I have removed the shared posts from this commission work and I will also do the same for the badge he ordered in the next few days.Soo, what happened? As my followers know, I did a commissioned work for now an unnamed person less than a year ago, which I shared here and on deviantart. I received a ref sheet order from him that he would like a new ref sheet for "his" new fursona and had shown "old" ref sheet art of which fursona he would like to have with updates. Before today, I didn't get any information about who had made this original "old" ref sheet and had only said that he had received permission from someone to use this ref. I made a big mistake and I hadn't checked that fact carefully in the beginning, but I went too blue-eyed at him. He was then a new person in the Finnish furry fandom and I didn't think much more about it.
I placed that art for him, but there was also another problem here. He hadn't paid anything for the art after receiving it, and I hadn't heard about the money after that, even though I had constantly messaged him about it. He often had some reason why he hadn't paid for his order and had even ordered another art from me, saying that he would pay for both at the same time, but this did not happen. He basically kept putting off his payment longer and longer. Only after half a year, when I started to insist on paying for the commissions, he finally paid for the commissions. After this, I have had little contact with him, only in the Finnish discord group that my friend and I maintained, and of course at various conventions.
Then we come to the beginning of the autumn, through which there was very aggravating information about him and what he has done, such as cheating and grooming, because of which he has now left the furry fandom. And today I found out from his fursuit maker that the reference ref sheet's fursona in question is owned by WildBitesBack on instagram and when I asked them about this, they confirmed that they had not given permission at all to use the ref. This was already a very hard fact to hear. I have now talked to them about this and I have sent them an apology for this matter. I am now grateful that this was brought to my attention and now I can really hold myself back and always check the permissions of references on commissioners especially if it is about a new fursona or oc ref sheets. Here is Wild's twitter post about this caseGive them love, they are a great person and I am very sad that I only heard about them yesterday πEnd conclusionThis taught a lot of important things that everyone should remember. I made a mistake in that I hadn't even thought to ask more about the origin of the reference and whether he had received permission for it. However, I am relieved that I even now became aware of this and that this is the first and now the last time that this has happened. If you are an artist, a content creator, a commissioner or just a basic trampler, remember that you should never copy, steal or own art, characters or any creative work that is not your own and always ask the creators for permission to use the works! Respect each other and don't let selfish people and other butt people take advantage of people like this. Love u all β€β

MINI UPDATE - Commission problems
Posted 4 years ago Hewwo everyone!
First of all, I would like to mention that the quiet life here is still going on because the summer vacation is not over yet and I still want to get some rest when I don't have a vacation for just a week and a half.
And so Iβve not come to talk about my summer vacation but about my commissioned work, which is probably still in the middle. Unfortunately, however, I have to say that I will not be able to do them, at least in the near future. The main reason for this is the great lack of motivation to work as well as the experimentation with different art styles is not really pleasing and I have struggled with them many times but it has not become anything.
And it has caused me a lot of stress and besides that I have not dared to tell those who order it π I am an easily stressed person and I would never want to offend anyone at the ordering stage because it would not work for me or I just am not motivated to do so. It could be called altruism, I guess. And yeah for me it has become really annoying not to tell about my unpleasant feelings like openly telling me if something doesnβt feel urgent or that I feel bad about something (though Iβve heard that this is related to my dysphasia).
But still, I am really sorry for those who have ordered commissions from me! I hope you understand. I don't mind if you want to cancel your order, but if you want to agree on something about your commission then send me a message about it!
And let me announce that I am not opening my commissions for at least a while now because of this! I will probably open orders at the earliest when all the previous ones have been done/there are no previous works in progress and that there is a good situation in life that I can take commissions again to receive requests. Admittedly, this has not been promised for at least some time. And yeah, I still make the arts I make for fun, but I haven't just finished them either, so they will come when they come.
Sorry and have a good late summer!β

MINI UPDATE - meeting accident and its consequences
Posted 4 years agoWith reference to yesterday's accident, I was involved in Furry pride meeting and it was really nice and awesome to fursuiting and meet the others long time (because of the Corona ofc) and later in Meeting when we were going to eat so I stumbled on a plateau on the ground and I hurt my ankle. I ended up with the hospital and I got out there with an ankle support and the teechrs so my summer vacation is left out :/
The same also applies to the making of my handicrafts and fursuits and the publication. On the other hand, the Mini Fursuit patral dwelling will not be imaginated because she came to her own owner, so the pictures will come when I get to meet the owner again (the buyer was therefore my friend). The implementation of another premade fursuit also moves beyond.
The joints will be on my feet at least 4 weeks and my feet healing up to 8 weeks that I can somehow walk. Although my foot healing can go up to a year that you can, for example, run properly unless the condition of the foot goes for worse, etc. Drawings I will do at the same pace as this does not affect unless motivation go to Point :D I will continue their sharing and doing to the same model but craft work does not come at least in a while.
Otherwise, I will put some meeting pictures here as well as my Suite to my account
!
Apologies for this and stay healthy!β
