I have a new PC!
Posted 2 years agoYep. And it's quite a good one too.
I did get it delivered last week, but only got it set up just today. And so far, it's very good.
I think I've transferred over my files now, so all I need to worry about is setting up my drawing tablet and maybe getting a Microsoft Office licence. Maybe a few other things, but time will well.
Hopefully I'll actually have the motivation to draw. We'll see...

Happy 2023!
Posted 2 years agoHappy New year to you all!
2022 certainly seemed to be filled with antipathy for me, though I’d rather not harp on about that. Here’s to a new and positive start to a new year!

No I'm not okay...
Posted 3 years agoAm I okay? Not really.
I LIVE!!! So there's that
Posted 5 years agoI am still alive, just about. I've never really been into writing regular journals or updates, but I am still here and kicking.
I've mainly been keeping myself together in these tricky times. My employer has put me on furlough, and that was back at the start of April. Now it's September, and there's been barely an update from them. Things are still fairly uncertain from what I've heard, so I'm not sure if I'll be going back to my job or not. My role was deemed "at risk" before the lockdown here in the UK, but it was because of the company wanting to downsize. You know how it is.
As for other things, I've recently made a new video for my YouTube channel "24RailwayCuttings" which I'm very pleased with, so am doing my best to keep a smile.
I've been pushing myself to try and draw more, though motivation is lacking thanks to anxiety. Oh well.
Hope everyone's still doing okay nonetheless. Take Care!
P.S. - Can anyone tell me what the rules are on upload resolution on here? I've seen the max is 1280 x 1280 pixels, but I've seen people upload with higher image sizes. Anyone who knows how this is so, please let me know!

Welp, this is how it's going
Posted 9 years agoHey, I thought I'd write a new journal to give an update on things.
Over the last month or so I've been busily looking for a new place to live having secured myself a job with a company named TaTa Technologies. Very big engineering firm. And their offices are based in Coventry, and that's where I have now moved to.
I've managed to gain a nice little two-bedroom flat on the southern part, and I've literally just moved into the place properly now. I've got my computer set up, PS4 ready to go, art supplies on a shelf, that sort of thing. And I'll be starting my new job on the 13th. Whoop-de-doo...
And I haven't got internet for the place yet, so I'm having to make do with using a wifi hotspot to just check my messages and write this up of course. In terms of art, I'm sure I'll be finding new things I want to draw, or even making some new music for my Youtube channel. Though I don't know how instantaneous it will be, since I still need to get used to things up here, as well as living on my own and all that.
Other than that, I'm still alive, so that's something at least!
Ciao!

So about that No Man's Sky
Posted 9 years agoThought I'd give my two cents on the game itself.
It sounds like an exciting prospect, doesn't it? Being able to travel through space, meet alien races and shoot bad guys in big ships. What I think really gets to me in this game is the true sense of scale that you feel when you fly through the cosmos. As outer space is what it says on the thin: Space. And it's impossibly colossal.
So picture this: You've just exited your first planet after fixing up your neat little ship and are ready to explore the stars. Then you see another planet a short way away. And when you start flying to it, it says it'll take a day. Turn on the boosters, it'll take 8 minutes. But even then you have to make sure you don't crash into it. And then perhaps you forget that you're heading towards ANOTHER PLANET, and you almost forget just how big these things can get. And then you make it through the atmosphere, and touch down on the surface, looking out to the landscape around you. The sense of scale is simply boggling, and trust me, I've felt it a few times myself.
I suppose it's human nature that we can imagine something that's infinitely colossal, but being able to comprehend it can be quite another. It sort of puts into a perspective in a way, that you're a tiny little thing on a sodding great rock orbiting a gigantic star in a colossal solar system in an even bigger galaxy. It at those times in which I just sit down, and appreciate what there is to see. Maybe we don't need to see it all, and just remember the little comforts of what we've got here. But that's just me talking.
Admittedly, some parts of the game have become a little repetitive, since I've found most of the aliens I've met are only wearing different goggles, and new spaceships cost as much as a house, but there we go.
I've heard that people are having their own complaints about the game, either they find it boring or are having technical issues, but hey, I managed to get it to work for me, and I enjoyed, so might you.
Get the game if you want to.

Posted 9 years agoI know I haven't written a journal in such a long time, but I felt like just sharing my current two cents right now.
As you may or may or not know, Britain's been having this big referendum about leaving or staying in the EU. I can't remember what was the specific cause of this personally. Anyway, after seeing some important facts and figures about the topic, I learned that a lot of it was purely speculation and not fully concrete. And I felt that staying in Europe would be better.
Anyway, long story short...
...Britain is leaving the EU.
...
I don't want to live in this country anymore...

Also been working on something for Halloween.
It'll be up on my youtube channel around then. :3

Thoughts for a halloween picture
Posted 13 years agoI've been thinking about what sort of picture I could do for this year's halloween.
Last year I did some of my girls dressed as the mane 6 of Friendship is Magic, which I still like. :3
But I wonder what I could draw for this year's halloween.
Should I do another pic, but this time dress them as other ponies from the show? Or should I think of something completely different?
Lemme know what you think.
Cheers. ^^

Back to University + I got featured!
Posted 13 years agoWell, things have sort of gotten quiet for me, mainly because my second year of university is about to begin.
Induction week has been and gone, and proper lectures for me will be starting soon, so production will probably slow down for me.
But I'll try to coax myself into doing more art and music stuff.
On a side note, my Gamer Luna fanart pic got featured on the Princess Molestia blog here!

I'm not dead, but was killed in MvM, and $5 commissions!
Posted 13 years agoHello! I'm on my laptop!
And am honestly glad to have it back!
Long story short, it's been at the repair shop 3 times! First time to check my earphone socket in which the plastic support broke. It's part of a small daughterboard with the mic port and 2 USB ports. They took it out but I needed the USB ports. So second time round they put the ports back in, but then some keyboard keys were not working!
So third time (which was the quicker) took it back to have the keys sorted. So all is good now.
THEREFORE!
Over the next few days I shall be doing the art requests that I NEED, repeat, NEEEEED to do!
I'll also be doing MadWorld style commissions for $5 each, plus $1 for any extra character. Here's some samples:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5690305/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5690270/
I will do PG to Adult, let me know if you'd like one, as I'd quite like to get some income. ^^;;
ALSO!
If you haven't tried out the new Team Fortress 2 Update, Mann vs Machine, I highly insist that you do!
It will blow your mind, and exhaust you. Like it did to me...

Posted 13 years agoI shall be away for a week
Hey guys, sorry for being so inactive.
Just saying I'll be heading off to Yorkshire with my family tomorrow for a week's holiday.
And I will have NO INTERNET during that time.
So I'll be using some of my time to work on long, overdue requests that I've been neglecting, as well as work on some new music projects and such.
So I'll be sure to see you all again next Saturday!
Ciao!
P.S.
My Parody song ''Fire Fire Fire!'' got featured on Equestria Daily!

Holidays, Karting and RedLine
Posted 13 years agoI'm finally on my easter holidays at last, so I'm able to get some rest done, as well as some exam revision (ugh...) but shouldn't be too bad.
During easter, I'll be sure to get to work on some of the requests I REALLY REALLY need to do, as well as work on some music that me and my friend are making. We've already made one track, which you can check out here. -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7gPhwGlhik <-
Also, I've bought and have watched the DVD to Studio MadHouse's anime REDLINE. Which in my opinion... kicks ASS!
The animation is brilliant, with some greatly bright and vibrant colours in it. Some of the action that happens is weird but staggeringly breathtaking. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend that you get it! ......... I want a TransAm 20k now.
Also recently, as part of the holiday break, me and my dad went karting at a track not too far away. We were karting with a group of people an hour earlier than normal, as we'd be on our own otherwise. And it's fun with more people.
It started out with dressing into race suits, gloves and helmets, along with a briefing, then 15 minutes of qualifying. I placed 5th on the grid.
Then we had 45 minutes to do as many laps as we could do. I did quite well at the start, managing to get into second place. But then I got myself stuck on the apex at the last corner, so I had to be pushed off and I lost a couple of positions. Then I had a collision with another driver. It was at a sharp corner. I was on the inside, and the dor was sort of shut, so we hit each other, and I ended up facing the apex, so had to drive round to get going.
Other than that, I had a great time. I did have some slippy drifty moments but it was great. And I placed third overall. Which in my opinion isn't at all bad.
However, since me, my dad, and a professional karter were separate from the group, we got gives our own little trophies. I got second, dad got third, the pro got first (obviously). I had a whale of a time, and really want to go again.
Anyway that's all from me. Enjoy your easter! ^^

Hit with a nostalgia bomb
Posted 13 years agoThere are times in life in which you remember something you really liked when you were younger, and when you see it again about a decade later, it somehow revitalises you and brings back those sweet memories you've enjoyed way back when.
Well I've had one of those moments.
I remember when I was about 5 or 6, I used to enjoy playing a game called Lego Island. Which I think was the first lego game I ever played.
I had one of my Dad's old PCs which has Windows 95 on it, and I remember how I used to play it for hours. I'd spend ages clicking on things and changing people's hats and the colour of their trousers and so on.
Admittedly the game could be glitchy and buggy, and the controls could be a bit awkward, but that was something I didn't originally mind.
What I liked most about the game was how the people interacted with you. Sometimes when you come across a character, they'll do a little random animation or tell you about something on the island or whatever, which I think gives the game some nice character to it. Also, the people behaved like actual lego people. As in their arms and legs didn't bend, and they had a rigid movement to them which was a great appeal in my opinion. The people know they're actually minifigures, like how they can be easily be rebuilt if knocked down, and how they often talk about why their skin is yellow, or about them being made of plastic.
I also remember hearing about Lego Island 2, which I thought would be cool, but after I saw a clip where their limbs bent, I was instantly turned off, because it looked like it was nothing like the prequel.
I even watched a walkthrough of the whole game and I was right too. The sequel had no appeal like the original. All the characters had different voice actors, their identity had been melted down to something completely generic, and the plot was badly written too.
But that aside, I loved the original Lego Island game, and I wish I could have the oppurtunity to play it again, so I can make everyone wear mugs on their heads or even be sponsored by Octan.

24 hour blackout session
Posted 13 years agoHey all,
Due to the current news of the SOPA and PIPA bills due to go into congress in the US, I have taken it upon myself to take part in the protest which can be referred to as the BLACKOUT protest.
I will not be using the internet or any device that connects me to the web for a whole 24 hours, in protest against these stupid bills.
I will be back on the 20th. ^^
See you soon.

Posted 14 years agoHey guys, just giving a little update.
My university work has been piling up over this semester, as I have quite a few big assignments to do. So anyone who has made requests with me, I'm sorry but they'll have to be put on hold for now.
I'll be sure to try and focus on getting some drawing done over the christmas holidays.
Other than that, I have been given a challenge from
flyingaaronbombs
Comment on this journal and I shall...
1. Tell you something I'll learn about you by looking at your FA page for 13 seconds.
2. Tell you which color you remind me of.
3. Tell you my first memory of you.
4. Tell you what Pokemon you remind me of.
5. Ask you something I've always wondered about you, and your answer has to be as vague as possible to keep the suspense.
6. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
7. Give you a weird nickname
8. Tell you what's on my shirt right now.
9. Challenge you to post this on your journal

Posted 14 years agoHowdy y'all.
Just giving a quick update. I'm currently doing some maths work for university which HURTS my head a lot. As these questions are so lengthy, but I'm getting through them as best as i can.
Anyway, I've managed to get Audacity onto my PC at last, so I'm thinking of doind some vocal recording in the not-too-distant future, or even a voice meme if I feel like it.
Let me know what you guys think.
See you later ^^

Making the big move...
Posted 14 years agoHey guys.
I'm sitting in my room, in my house, at my desk writing this journal, spending my last night here.
Tomorrow, I will be moving into my flat in the university I'm going to, and to be honest, it's rather nerve-racking.
I've got a lot of stuff to take with me, but thankfully i'm not too far from home, so I can easily get some stuff from home if I need it (it's about a 25-minute bus ride away). But other than that, I'll be living with 5 other people I will never have met, and I'll be cooking meals for myself. So everything is go!
Anyway, I'll try to write something when I settle in, and I hope all goes well.
Ciao for now!
