niche ytp references aside, i deeply appreciate everyone's continued support and sorry that i've been going through an eternal rut with my art this year, my random slushi art somehow managed to surpass the webfishing mod in terms of overall favorites and i've been able to meet a lot more cool artists and vary my character choices more, even if i've been slowly pinning myself back to my usual scrimblos so i can experiment with more silly shapes
i wish i could find better words to express my feelings in a sentimental way, im sorry that ive been a bit grumpy and tired out lately but i always appreciate getting to gush about random moods with people in my replies and get to meet cool artists who draw awesome stuff and who i look up to, i have a lot in my backlog that i should probably polish and post here soon and thank you all so much for being here either way

i know i try my best to keep drama shit out of this tab and out of the stuff i post here in general, but i feel like browsing the fatfur tag on browse has progressively gotten worse and worse to go through, maybe my tastes have gotten way too limited or im just grumpy at my output this year or something, that and this isnt about anyone in particular and please don't turn this into a big fight or anything

the character choices are half the usual blend of popular furries/dragon ocs and i find that respectable, sometimes there's the really good obscure choices or really cute designs, but there seems to be an influx of artists who just think that the ugliest designs for humans are the best thing in the world and that they should dump all of their art out in a row
half of the stuff people mark as Adult isn't cocks or sex or what the aup actually defines as requiring a higher content label, it's either first parts of sequences that end up mature at best or artists who are too scared to use the general tab because they joined the site after 2022 and think But That's Where The Bad People Can See Me!!!!
if anything most of the actual rare good stuff keeps getting posted by people who don't know that the categories/tags can get filled in or just dont bother using them that much, so i only find it through a search or checking out other cool people's fav galleries

i'm kinda in the same state as i was in this journal, i have a few old commissions/trades/general art i could repost but haven't yet since they're either already uploaded to the artists' accounts, or it being long enough where i forget if i even have contact with some of the other artists
that and i have a backlog of art i'm really proud of from doing trades with friends, but some of them are just stuck under the stipulation of "just dont post it publicly" but i could probably just convert some of them into other random characters i find cute
im probably worrying way too hard about this and way more than i should, i just wanna make jokey art of random characters as massive blobs without invisibly stepping on someone's toes and making them angry or somethin even if it's just a random game magazine advertisement character 😔

it'll probably be easier to tell once i do upload them, but please let me know if i should Lmao, Post The Backlog or if im going too far with anything

i know it's the current big game right now and people have been begging for a fat mod but i didnt expect it to eclipse the top spot of my most faved works this quickly???? and i am genuinely thankful for those who've messed around with the mod itself even if i havent seen any direct examples of people using it, but sdhfjgkkhjsdfgjkhsgdfhjkdgf i genuinely thank you all for liking my mod that much and i am proud of how it turned out even for a quick mood,,,,,,,,

i kinda got hit with instant burnout after making the first little bit of the mod, so id say either wait for the other mod or wait for my brain to loop around to godot again for any big updates, but Hooh i love all the art i see of these creatures and hopefully made someone get really kinky ideas off of this mod

ive been in a habit recently where right when i go "im gonna go to bed after browsing this" is when i really want to put comments on old art that i love, mostly just because i want to show my appreciation but i do hope its not going too far
sometimes i type horny mood teases if the descriptions have that level of energy to it, but i know not everyone is welcome with creepy comments and i probably sound like a hyperactive dumbass at 3 am
most of it is just out of appreciation for something ive looked at a lot/artists i really like the work of but havent said anything properly about, but i do hope im never bein too weird with them and i hope its all okay

and of course for clarification sake, i am okay with weird comments on my art too!!! sometimes i may not have a lot to reply with but i always appreciate seein people like my work and wanna teasily engage with it

it has been an exact year since the last journal about this, but somehow that number has quadrupled from your support, and i want to thank everyone so so so muchhhhh!!!! i appreciate everyone who's commented on my stuff, favorited and watched me, maybe even gained a nerdy research tangent from my character choices, and it means a lot to me!!

i don't know how to word it but i feel like i was in a bit of a rut last year, but then finally escaped once i gave myself time to do other stuff and not worry about requests and being online all the time
i finally uploaded a lot of work that i somehow hadn't yet, mostly out of the weird brain pressure of "this may be too weird for my usual account topics/will my friend feel bad if i drew this first" easing up and being more manageable, and i appreciate that people still liked me trying something new!!
the last line from yungknight's journal here applies to me, and i never have fame in mind when i draw stuff, and im not saying this to go "spread me around to quadruple this again my subscribers!!!!" because im happy drawing what i like to draw, because i love the comfy ideas i can upload and the friends who have even cooler ideas

this journal may be a bit rambly, but i love and appreciate every bit of support from you all, and even when my mood's wobbly i'd love to post more of my art here, no matter if anyone else enjoys it because I Sure Do!!

before i go to bed, i want to say i havent drawn a ton of new things but i do have a small collection of art that i havent uploaded yet, but most of them fall under "i havent checked with the oc owner if it's fine/i havent checked with the artist if it's fine"
if i have gotten art from you and you're fine with me posting it here, let me know!! no guarantees on a reupload but there are lots of art that i still love and appreciate but hope it doesnt cause anything bad if i post them here

it has been a wild journey on this account, meeting new folks and improving my general art skills by trying new things and new characters and just improving what worked, and im satisfied to have gotten to this point
