Would anyone be interested in grabbing any? They'd be priced according to time, so something that would take 15min would be $10, something an hour would be $35, scaling upwards from there. You could ask what slapping colour on would cost or highlighting or shading, and what you wanted to have from me. I'd probably discount for themes that I enjoyed (because they tend to be easier to draw) or end up putting more time than agreed in for them. It'd be pretty flexible.

Long story short reeeally aggravating to see my partner attacked and harrassed just for asking for help. My experience with FA, thankfully, has been mostly very pleasant and I've been lucky to have attracted mostly really sweet and nice commenters and watchers (which I really super appreciate!!), but I've never been unaware of the fact that that's a real rarity on this site. I'm even more aware of it now. Just. Gah.

Love isn't something you can 'give' to anybody. It really isn't. It's not something you can save up, hoard for a rainy day. Love is like happiness. Love is like sadness. Love is an emotion. Love is a bond. It is something that grows within someone, because of the existence or actions of someone or something else*. You can't plant your love in anyone else, they can only grow their own love, in themselves, for you.

Love is different between everyone. No ones love is better than another's. Not if it's stronger. Not if it's more durable. Not if it's longer lasting. It's just different. Any value judgement you apply to it after recognizing that it's different are your own opinions, and people will always have different opinions. The little love someone has for a group of fleeting childhood friends is in no quantifiable way lesser than the love between a monogamous couple who've been together for decades, the same way red is in no way lesser than blue.

Appreciate all the love in your life, be mindful of the judgements you make of other's love. By my own personal morals, I think that love should be honest, consensual, and respectful. And I struggle to cope with many societal models of love, which are often competitive or even combative and based on fear and loneliness rather than joy and happiness. And I do try to tell people about my approach to love, because it's been so wonderful and lovely and such a relief after trying out some old socially prescribed models. But ultimately that's still just my opinion, and everyone's love is their own.**

But that still doesn't change the fact that love simply isn't something you can give to anyone. You can give your kisses, your cuddles, your loving blows and tender knifecuts, your vases of flowers, your hanks of rope, your blood, your symbols of affection whatever they are. You can express your love in so many wonderful and varied ways. You can give people the precious gift of your limited time. But you can't give anyone else your love. Because that part is in you.

I feel like drawing again a little bit. I'm choosy as usual, but I was just thinking of doing little sketches, maybe coloured. Maybe interaction stuff between my characters and others? Simple stuff. As usualy I'm really unlikely to draw more common characters and it can be a crapshoot with dragons, because I have -plenty- of my own to draw. I like unusual critters.

I'd love for folks who were wanting to draw Chicken, Noah, Min or my Finch Gryphs to come forward. (also if you have cheap commissions you can pimp here and make me jelly :x)

I've been trying to save up and get out to the US as soon as I can for quite a few reasons, largely to move in with my poly family and get away from my blood relatives...who are very weird. All of us have been working hard to get together funds but if anyone's got something to spare, I really wouldn't turn it away.

Getting art-crushes on people. This is especially bad in my case because to a large degree my art is a very literal extension of myself, and I tend to initally respond to other people's art as it if is the same for them. And then I get crushes on folks who have art themes and stuff that my brain interprets as personality traits I like and then if the person turns out to actually have those traits asdfjhhl it's friggin lethal. All my major relationships start through either artistic or intellectual attraction. I am also a very feely person who spends the vast majority of my time carefully guarding my inclination to be REALLY AFFECTIONATE AND PROTECTIVE in people's directions because largely folks don't seem to be comfortable with that (although some are!). But I have such trouble understanding folk's view of me and while I'm really generally affectionate I can also be very private and enclosed and cautious unless I know someone really really well. That and I tend to have sexual feelings towards friends most of the time aaagh. But then I am sexually curious about most people so that's not particularly surprising. AND I REALLY REALLY don't like making folks uncomfortable if I have emotions they don't share so I tend to overcompensate in the opposite direction and ffffagh

That I'm sorry I've been really flaky and kind of erratic in my behaviour lately. I've been staying at my parents place and I find it really stressful. They are very loud, abrasive people, and I am someone who very much values quietness and peace. They are very dramatic and critical. I find this very difficult to deal with, and it's been making art and...just...everything in general really hard to manage. Commissions are kind of on hold, I do work on them, but it doesn't seem to really be mattering what I do with them because nothing I do seems to be getting them any further. I keep posting journals asking for subjects to doodle because it sometimes the sheer bulk of applicants means that it's likely I'll find SOMETHING I can draw. I am having some trouble with my medication as well, namely it not doing shit so I don't bother even taking it, but being afraid to visit doctors because the only ones available to me are the incompetent, rude and often unpleasant bulk-bill folks, and I really don't want to be breaking down crying in front of those assholes.

Hopefully moving out of this house and in with (quiet) friends will get me a bit less dumpy.

SO Ima ask folks riiiight here if they have any characters they wouldn't mind volunteering to potentially be in non-g-rated-doodles with Chicken, or any of my other characters (or occassionally Tryst's characters if she's cool with it haha. Or making other folks characters bang each other. I dunno, not very picky). And whether those characters are ok with stuff like gore, sounding, bdsm, whether they're 'sub or dom' or if they have a different approach to such things, whether they tend to be more rough and quick or slow and sensual, blahblahblah. Mostly I am kind of sick of cornering my art with the repetitive shapes that tend to turn up in my default doodling, so I'm trying to expand the list of visuals I can fiddle with.

kinks I'm super likely to draw are feral characters, size difference, urethral play, strapon play, penetration (anal, vaginal, oral), bondage, D/s, petplay, playfulness, sensualness, occassionally forms of foodplay (possibly vore teasing?), gore n stuff, breathplay, waterplay (not watersports, scenes in actual water), natural props and scenery (using fruits and rocks for toys, sensation play with ferns etc), uuuuum will probably add to this if I can't think of anything. If your character has a particular thing they really like you should also totally mention it.

So, throw me requests! At the moment I'd really prefer to draw animals that you haven't seen me draw much before, so stuff like civets, antelope, cattle, insects, w/e. No anthros again. If you have an interesting idea for a scene (g-rated to XXX+++HOLYSHITTHAT'SWEIRDporn) that'd be nice too.

So, I have a lot of characters and most of them have a whole spat of convoluted things going on. one of those things is gender and sex. So I thought I'd lay it out for folks.

Me/myself: Born female, but has a multiplicate identity, so kind of...many genders at once. However the thing I am most comfortable presenting as and being refered to as is male.

ChickenScratch: Chicken is pretty much me. Like, literally. His Chimera form is a mashing of common elements of my personality and life all boiled down into a little fluffy thing. So, yeah. The main form is generally female-bodied but identifies male.

Creoste: Violently female, but not in a human fashion. Her culture's values of feminine and masculine are a bit, er, flipped around. The larger, bulkier, more powerful females are the 'dominant' sex by human standards. They are indeed prone to assault and rape and abuse of the smaller sex of their species, usually in the course of acquiring super territories of male groups. They're fairly similar to hyenas in some respects, but different in others.

Martin (the big green dragoness thing): Martin is intersex, with mostly female-looking genitalia.

Amelie (Hognose Girl): Solidly and comfortably cis-female.

As-yet-unamed-Gambian-Pouched-Rat (Help me come up with a name?): Comfortably cis-male with very femme mannerisms.

Click (purple mohawked fairy dragon): Cis-Male. Kind of a ginormous fag at times.

Vango (Obnoxious goldfish-coloured dragon): Another Cis-Male.

Mahogany: Doesn't give a shit. Biologically female. Pretty sure its gender is Rape.

Skinsy: Also more interested in being morally horrible than gender, but she's cis-female. Likes to use this to make folks uncomfortable because she's horrible.

Kubikiri: Cis-male, though he's another that doesn't really present gender very much.

That I seem to draw at my best when I am comfortable enough to sing. Not necessarily coherently, but just the act of creating makes me want to sing.

This is, of course, much easier to do when no one can hear.

Just getting the other journal off the front, really. I am super close to finishing the Golden Compass series, and it's definitely worth a read! The characterisation is certainly not the strongest I've ever read, but hardly the weakest, and all of it's plot elements slot nicely together. It's a real epic tale. Also Pullman reallly hits his stride in the last half of the second book and the third book and I guarantee a bit of heart-string plucking (;_;)

On another note I've been helping a friend move for the last couple of days and HOLY SHIT am I sore. It probably didn't help that I was already sore from *cough*activities*cough* from a day before and then I went and cleaned skirting boards and marching boxes n shit up and down the stairs(square).

Also, have some TMI. Sometimes my armpit smell is remarkably (I mean...identical...) to the smell of semen. And I have no idea why.
