I finally feel okay talking about it, but I've been out of commission for a few weeks now. I got broken up with during my flu illness and it uh... derailed me a lot. I wasn't okay and still am not completely, I've lost a lot of my art motivation as I lost my muse and I've just been.... in a bad place. I'm starting to come out of it and am doing what I can to build myself up, but things are still slow going.

I just wanted to let people know finally what's going on, because work has been... slow. It's hard for me to focus and it's hard for me to feel good about what I'm doing. Loneliness is very prevalent and I've had to kind of take some time to work on my life and finding a place for myself. I apologize for the delay on everything, life's been hard.

I of course posted it in there, but I thought I'd let you all know here too in case you missed the discussions in the chat itself.

After deliberating with my mods and chat members, we have decided to fully ban IRL photography, including those of inflatables. The chat itself was made with the intention of avoiding those topics, and while I allowed it as side talk, I didn't want it to become the main topic of the chat. It has become more than that now, and it has put me off of looking in there aside from to do my duties as a mod. A few other people have also raised concerns/awareness of this trajectory of the chat, and I thought it time to finally address the issues. IRL inflatables make me uncomfortable, while I LOVE art of inflatables, I have avoided IRL photos of them and chats dedicated to them (hence the creation of Inflatables Art). So from here on out, the chat will be solely focused around art and such.

I just need to vent at myself for a sec, because I'm such a stupid person.

I've always been a bit of a doormat, I thought I grew a spine but I apparently haven't. An individual who was my patron earned some free tickets during an event I hosted a while ago and used them to order an art piece that night. Granted, they weren't there for the event (I have been corrected on this, they were possibly there), they earned idle tickets from my extra marble race game. Life fell apart for me a bit and I couldn't get all the freebies done, I had to turn my attention to commissions, which I didn't think was too awful because the game night had been fun on it's own and I learned we really don't need prizes to have a good time... (These were not prizes that were promised via their tier on patreon, it was something extra I decided to do for fun)

But this individual did not want to let the slot go, they even put in forms when I opened for commissions asking me to work on the freebie instead of putting in for a commission. I was so frustrated and tired of this individual I said okay to a refund... A refund on free art. I kind of hoped they'd like... let it drop? Maybe realize this is really silly asking me for money when they didn't give me any. But they popped up again today, asking me how my financial situation was so I could pay them. I'm such a pushover. I am growing to really hate working for people I don't know, it's too easy to take advantage of me. I just feel sick to my stomach, I don't have much money right now and to refund something that no money was initially exchanged for is really upsetting, but I don't know how to stand up for myself when it comes to my business.

It's likely a scammer or some incredibly entitled person that I shouldn't spare much thought, but it's getting to me. My financial situation is so tenuous and PAYING customers are waiting so very patiently. To have someone squeeze money from me like this. It makes me ill.

Sorry for the rambling, I just had to put it out into the void to try to cope with my own idiocy. I'm just so tired.

UPDATE: We've managed to get it to charge up if it's left in the same spot. This is giving me enough time to pull all the files onto the cloud so that I can access them on my PC. Crisis mostly averted for the moment. At least now there's no rush for me getting it fixed and I can continue working on stuff on my desktop.


Adding insult to injury, my tablet will now not take a charge. I've tried everything to fix it, cleaning the port, swapping cords, restarting, swapping blocks... everything. This means that all of the files I was working on, are now inaccessible. I'll have to send it in for repairs, if it can be fixed.

I'm out of energy for shit. I just want things to work for a little bit.

I am only just now realizing my body is revolting against me after putting it through nearly two months of constant stress and physical work. Oopsieeees. I haven't been able to shake an illness I caught while traveling, it gets better and then I get so exhausted that it gets worse again (No, not covid. I tested two separate times). On top of that, I have gained a wonderful bout of self-loathing and, by extension, art block. I'm feeling like my work is not doing good, I'm getting burnt out, art as a process has lost its appeal recently. BLah blah, Anyways. Suffice to say, For this month only I am running a little thing where, if someone who has a slot on the calendar this month would like, I will take $20 off their commission and use it as an 'experimental' slot. I'll still follow your prompt, the style itself will just be different than the original offering. It could be less detailed, it could be more, it could even end up being traditional art. It just gives me the freedom to experiment a bit and let my creativity run a bit.

Another headsup that streams will be silly again this month. Last month was crazy getting the house renovated, but that was all for my sister's visit... which is happening this month, tomorrow to be exact. So streams may be a little sporadic. I'll be taking work with me everywhere, I might just not be able to actually sit down and stream what I'm doing. If I have a moment, I'll absolutely be turning the stream on, and there will be some time in her visit where her family is going to the beach or something (??) and I should be able to stream normally, but don't be surprised if I'm streaming one moment and gone the next, or suddenly streaming again. Regardless, Buyers will get their pieces and I'll be using my off days to finish up last month's batch and other older work, as per usual~
