Best prezzie ever: Centaur Bass!
General | Posted 11 years agoOkay, maybe not the best per say, but it is really awesome. My spouse spent her winter break refinishing my guitar: Centaur-7 The photo doesn't do the gold sparkles justice, or the shadow of the wood grain you can see with the naked eye.
It's like playing a race car... So smooth now.

Monsters and races I like in fantasy...

Up to learning a weave!
General | Posted 12 years agoI've been practicing poi more. My spouse has been waking me up in the morning to exercise with her. So I've been doing poi. I can now go left, right for both up and down strokes, and reverse. I'm just not figuring out a weave - that's linking together a chase right, reverse, chase left, reverse, repeat. I was thinking I'd do movement transitions next, but I saw the weave on a video with someone using streamers, so I figured I could learn it.
For my birthday my spouse got me a pair of pod poi, so it's almost like I really know what I'm doing instead of using streamers made from a kite company ten years ago ^-^

I learned a new trick with my poi
General | Posted 15 years agoI could do a chase - learned that last week. This week I figured out how to reverse it. Much harder to cross on the upstroke, but it's a very sexy maneuver when you pull it in close.
