Reason I ask is that I'm wanting to have a badge done for a friend of mine as an ice hockey goalie and am looking for someone who is willing to do this for me at a reasonable price AND let me be able to pick it up at the con. Posted 12 years agoI just wanna express my thanks to those that have been there and stuck up for me during this trying time. This has been a very rough spell but I think I'm finally over what's been bringing me down. I've come to realization with certain things and I'm glad to report that I am feeling better and things are starting to look up for me.
As a result, I feel like the last journal that I put up doesn't need to be up. I am no longer in need of anyone's sympathy and hopefully I will be able to stay strong in the future.

Posted 12 years agoThis weekend started out promising enough, if a little early. Got a call around 8:30am on Friday from work saying there was something to be picked up in Chicago (Glendale Heights to be exact), and it's final destination? A 3M facility in Kentucky. Couple that with the fact that it was a $450 run and I was off...and I saw that my route went straight through Indianapolis, where my vixen pet

3. I wish I'd never given up on my college so soon. It would've cost me a bit of my sanity, yes...but I really do think I would've been better off in the long run.

5. I wish I'd never had put up that journal to defend kuroryushin-kuma from her abusive husband-to-be. I thought it was the right thing to do, but if she is going to repay me for this by abandoning me, not to mention costing me the relationship I had at the time, then fuck that.
6. I wish I would've never drank the tequila, or at least anything with tequila in it. Especially on my Las Vegas trip. I think I learned the truth behind the old saying "Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" after that. And I would still have my leopard. That and tequila fucks me up majorly.

2. I have a mild form of autism; I wanna say it's Aspberger's syndrome, but they didn't have a name for it when they diagnosed me at the age of 7. The only thing they said was that I was "high-functioning autistic."
3. In relation to #2, I am very reserved about my condition. I do not use it as a crutch, nor do I blame it when things go wrong.

6. I was selected as a part of a summer foreign exchange experience when I was 12 that would've seen me go to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for about a month, but we couldn't raise the money for that in time.
7. I am well-versed in the kitchen and would like to go to culinary school at some point, with the aspiration of opening up my own restaurant some day.
8. I discovered the furry fandom in 2002 during the initial airing of the Dinotopia movie; I have an uncle that did some business with James Gurney, the creator of Dinotopia, and the rest is history.

I generally have few rules; I am alcohol-friendly if you're responsible about it, and if you're gonna be bringing a special someone back, I do ask that you let me know about it so I can keep the room clear for you guys. Other than that, just don't do anything stupid and/or illegal and all will be well!
Room rate will be $120 to cover taxes, though this is negotiable within reason. If I can get a fifth (with approval from the pet), then I will knock it down to $90/person, but only if the fifth person is approved. Can't wait to see everybody there!

Dreams and why they're gnawing on me now...

But why does this one girl (let's call her Danielle for the sake of not calling anyone out specifically) keep showing up in my dreams, even though I've blocked her completely from my memory? There was a point where I really liked her and even thought of her as the girl of my dreams at one point, only to have her crush me like an ant under someone's foot while flaunting her boyfriend the whole time. So I've dropped her like a bad habit and I have been doing a little better
But I had this weird dream in which I got turned around in a town and ended up in a parking structure to this hotel. The elevators looked like they could use a little work aesthetically, but they ran all right. It was a nice hotel in a nice suburban city...not unlike some of the fur cons I've been to, and I'm looking around and going to different floors to try and get out. So I step into another elevator, and there's Danielle's character name right beside the top floor. My guess is that the top floor is where the penthouse is and...well, she's got it. I didn't get a chance to look at it before I faded to black once again. . . . .but what does this mean? I've already pretty much cast Danielle aside, and except for apologizing to her for more or less being a dick toward her over Twitter, I don't want anything to do with her again.
And yet she keeps popping up in my dreams...what gives?

Wrecked, Battered and Bloodied, But Still Tick-Tocking
Posted 12 years agoFirst off, I am okay. But I was involved in a severe car accident around midnight where a driver, presumably drunk, slammed full-on into the back of my car while I was driving home from work. From what I heard, the impact pushed the rear end of my car about 20 inches forward into the passenger compartment, so that tells you how hard the impact was. I had a pretty bad cut on my head which required me to be taken to a nearby hospital for stitches; actually, they put about 5 staples in my head to close the wound. That and my left arm is still fairly sore, but aside from that and a few scrapes and bruises, I am all right and in pretty good spirits. Needless to say, I'm gonna have to make a few phone calls before I am able to return to work.

I may come up with some musings later to empty my mind, but that will have to wait.

Croccy's Hatchday is Coming...
Posted 12 years ago...and it's a big one: 30. God, I feel old just thinking about it. Kinda wanna start hitting a gym soon; I've looked into it and have given it some serious consideration, but have never been able to go through with it. If they say that 30 is the new 20, I wanna come out swinging for the fences!
I don't ask for much anymore when it comes to birthdays...just that someone at least remembers and mentions it to me. I'll probably be working on that day as well, so I may bring in cupcakes for me co-workers...though how many I may have to give some thought to. But as for you guys, the one thing that would truly leave me floored is if someone were to put my name in for one of
avilon's Soaked! covers. Seeing as how I am a crocodile and consider myself to be an aquatic, it would only make sense for me to be on the cover of a magazine that caters and, dare I say, exploits them? And hey, what could be sexier than a rock star crocodile posing by the pool or on some tropical beach? If you do end up doing this for me, then have Avi note me and we can go over the details.
That is really the only thing I'm gonna ask for...I've given up on the whole world peace and a million dollars thing a LONG time a go. Would still be nice, though, but I ain't really expecting that anytime soon.
