Artfight
Posted 3 years agoI’m going to try doing artfight again this year : ) you can find me at
https://artfight.net/~Junsuina
I only have dragon characters and esks (sorry :c )
I try my best to revenge. I can;t guarantee it this year though because of prime week (well for us warehouse workers, lol .there’s already mandatory OT for 60hr :’) ) and how work has been going lately.

Sketch requests(closed)
Posted 3 years agoclosed for now, going to work on what’s posted : )
Sometimes a girl just wants to draw dragons other than her own, there’s so many fun types out there : )
Post a ref.
I am not drawing every single one, just a handful as inspiration strikes. Please keep that in mind.
You are fine to color in the sketches, just make sure to credit me.

Reflection
Posted 4 years agoHi ya’ll!
I know I keep disappearing and then posting some work, and then disappearing again. It’s frustrating.
I’ve been going through some ups and downs with art; I almost honestly gave up on it a little over a year ago. I was quiet for months as I felt scared or apathetic to pick up my tablet pen and draw anything. Eventually I tried again and missed it dearly. That little bit of a break though was such a refresher and just reestablished some thoughts I have known but maybe never fully accepted until then.
Basically, draw what I find enjoyable even if it’s just sketches and not the most original thing in the world 😝*cue dragon side view facing left*
I had a following out with dragons and spent most of my time drawing esks, but now I want to focus on dragons even more. I love ‘em.
So for this year, I really want to improve on some things. Anatomy, lighting, backgrounds. Big things.
For anatomy heads and paws/hands/whatever you want to call them are the main things I am drawn to when looking at art because I find them the most complex parts of the body. So those are the main areas I want to focus on first. Some of the sketchy headshots I posted already feel like improvements but I need to draw some heads from nature more (like wolves, lizards, etc) to expand the mental library (and maybe help come up with different ideas for headshapes instead of generic one xP )
Lighting. My lighting and shading can be pushed more. I always felt like lighting could be the most important piece to art. I’ve seen some artwork where maybe the anatomy was lacking but their lighting was 👌 and the anatomy flaws didn’t stick out as much because my eye was drawn to how the lighting looked. I’m not even sure where to start with it but youtube is going to be my friend I guess, as well as studying other works x )
Backgrounds. I feel like i’m in an OK spot with bgs, but they definitely need more depth and variance. I think mostly I just feel intimidated by details and that makes me dread bg painting. I’m in this weird spot where I don’t know what kind of style I want to go with either so that’s been making bgs hard (I line art characters but do line less bg…sometimes everything is lineless, and sometimes I’ll line everything. idk what i’m doing). I do like the sort of animation style, where the bg is lineless and painted beautifully and then there is a lined character plopped into the environment but they still fit into the picture without looking like a sticker. I think that’s more where I’m leaning too.
Anyway, that’s a bit of a read. Maybe I just needed somewhere to reflect a bit and post some thoughts to help hype me up.
I would really love to offer commissions but right now I just don’t feel like I would be able to sell anything for the price I want (I get paid around 18.60 right now so I would want an hourly to match that to start) especially with my speed (some of my clean sketches still take about an hour-two hours) so I want to improve first ☺️ maybe in a year or so I’ll feel comfortable opening up. I definitely want to try some adoptables, I have that design itch. Otherwise YCH would probably be the first avenue I go to sell art.
OK that’s enough rambling, I hope ya’ll are doing alright in this ongoing pandemic and thanks for sticking around 😊
