I will be absent for a week since I'll be visiting my sister in Germany. Depending on how her net behaves I might pop in to say hi here and there.

We've finally laid my mom to rest. Didn't expect that many people to show up...Some of whom I haven't seen in years. But I'm glad to know she had such an impact on so many people that they decided to come from far away to pay their respects.

May you rest in peace, mom. My journey through life will now have to go on without you...

I will be absent for awhile....I was just informed my mom passed away last night.
My only comfort is that she passed on in her sleep.

I will need some time to myself.

Mom's condition has taken a turn for much, much worse.
She can't get out of bed, she's very weak, hallucinating and has a hard time talking.
Judging by everything it's only a matter of days now.

I guess it's time to discuss two topics that seem to be a bit heated within certain Internet circles, and that just so happen to have to do with my favorite hobby, art:

"Aged up" NSFW art and "Ferals with human-like sentience and speech".

On topic of aged up NSFW I've never seen a problem with it as long as the character is portrayed as an adult in all aspects. Just keeping the canon/child design and going "Oh this character is now 30 years old!" is not only lazy but won't fool anyone. I know it can be a bit tricky when it comes to Sonic designs but I suppose that's why SEGA scrubbed the official ages of the characters (since most of them never acted their previously-stated age, behaving more like young adults) with the exception of Tails, Cream, Marine and Charmy, who are all obviously child-coded. I will NEVER take seriously anyone who goes "well this character is canonically a child so drawing them as an adult in adult situation is still loophole CP!" because by that logic, we should never draw any NSFW content of *any* character because "they were children at some point". If someone wanted to draw porn of, say, Cream at her canon age, they'd draw her at her canon age with her matching design because *that* is what works for them. I will say though, that this should only apply to fictional characters. Porn of RL child celebrities is fucking EWWW and if I'm not mistaken, very much illegal. Regardless of how they're portrayed.


On topic of ferals with human-like sentience and speech; I honestly don't see a problem with NSFW art of a critter that is portrayed to be able to think, reason, communicate and consent with others. I myself have drawn a few things in the past that I never posted involving such critters. Calling it "zoophilia enabling" is nonsensical because any sensible, normal human would know that RL animals do not, and cannot consent. As long as the artists stick to fantasy instead of trying to engage in certain acts in RL, then I really see no problem with it. Then again that's pretty much always been my mantra when it comes to art. Separation between reality and fiction is important and to me, trying to morality police others just because of a small number of troublesome individuals who can't make that distinction comes off as simply an attempt to control others, not out of morality but simply desire for power over others.

I've spoken to the neurosurgeon the other day and yeah.... surgery is definitely out of the question. The tumor has spread far too much to be worked on. On the off-chance that she does endure the procedure, it would only buy her very little time so it would be all for nothing, given how aggressively this fucking thing spreads if tampered with.
However, he advised me not to tell her that the surgery was called off, merely postponed, otherwise she'd surrender and just.....wither away.
I told him about her situation and he agreed that putting her in a nursing home is the best call, telling her she needs to stay there until she's re-scheduled for surgery.

To those of you who still have living, and loving parents...Cherish them. And when your parents pass one day, a long time from now.... may it be in peaceful slumber. Not pain and suffering like my parents. Not before their time.

Well fuuuuuck, mom's surgery was postponed. They discovered she has herpes in a rather sensitive spot and there's a risk it would spread further if they performed surgery on her. Once it passes they'll try again.

...just found my mom's got glioblastoma, a kind of brain tumor which is....incredibly hard to suppress and nearly impossible to fully cure.
Patients who do manage to suppress it have up to 2 years of life left, and that's the best estimate. While I will remain optimistic about the best outcome of her surgery, I am also prepared for the worst, should it come to pass.

...they benefit no one in the artistic community except terminally online dipshits who are parading around as paragons of moral virtue while their hypocrisy and double standards shine bright for everyone to see.

I spoke to my sister, who's keeping in touch with the doctor who was in charge of the surgery.

It was a success and my mom has been responding well upon waking up. She'll have to remain there for some time still to be kept under observation and to heal. All that's left is the stenting surgery but compared to this ordeal, it will be a walk in the park.

I seriously cannot thank you all enough for the support you've shown me, be it through positive vibes, kind words, helpful distractions and financial help. It means the world to me and I don't think I'll ever be able to repay the kindness you've all displayed. You're all the best.

I won't know the details until later afternoon as my sister will contact the hospital and inquire about her situation.

I hope it all goes smoothly and she returns home safe and sound...

So, for last few months mom has been dealing with ever-increasing issues regarding headaches, confusion, loss of balance and loss of feeling in her left arm. We initially thought it was related to the heart attack she had in May of 2021., since one of her previous examinations revealed she has some problems which required a stenting surgery which should have been scheduled for next week. However, last Sunday her condition got so bad that we had to ship her off to hospital, where she was placed in the neurology wing and they promptly did a CT scan.

It turns out she has a brain tumor.

She is currently stable and in good spirits, as they're giving her an IV which seems to postpone the tumor's development. She's scheduled for an MRI scan tomorrow so they can see what can be done about it. Her neurologist says we shouldn't give up hope and that they'll do everything they can to ensure she undergoes a surgical removal of that little bastard.

In meantime, I am holding the fort at home and am in a bit of a financial squeeze since I got bills and utilities to pay and my paycheck went poof due to unforeseen expenses earlier this month, so I'm dusting off my old Ko-Fi page. Any dollar helps and I would much appreciate it.

To say that it sucked for me would be a fucking understatement. Personal losses and just overall dealing with a whole bunch of personal matters.

Hospitalized due to COVID.

Lost my dad to lung cancer on same day.

Mom had a heart attack...fortunately she survived but it gave me one hell of a panic attack.

A friend I've known for over 10 years passed away.

Then lost grandma to COVID.

All the shit that piled up gave me one hell of a hypertension that persisted throughout most of November.


As much as I try to be optimistic, if 2021. sucked that badly I don't even want to imagine what 2022. has in store for us...

I hope none of you got coal this year!

This year's Christmas rings a bit hollow to me, having lost my dad and last living grandparent earlier this year, but for their sake I'll try to be more optimistic and look forward to a new year, free of all the shit that happened in this one.

But enough of me being a debbie downer, I sincerely wish all of you a Merry Christmas, and may you spend it surrounded by loved ones!

Last Friday, my grandmother was admitted to hospital due to complications with COVID; her fever couldn't drop below 38°C and she was constantly coughing.

Today, we received a call from the hospital.

She passed away due to heart failure...

So, I found out today via looking up obituaries that my good friend  yazera has passed away on June 3rd, although I cannot find out what happened.

Whatever happened....rest in peace, buddy. You knew how to get under my skin in jest, and I'll miss your trolling and jokes.

...when you lose your medical insurance just so you can buy back the site you sold in the first place, at a cost greater than what you got when you first sold it...I am definitely going to question your decision-making abilities.

I was discharged from hospital today, with instructions to stay for 2 weeks in isolation and take prescribed medications. While I'm not out of the woods yet I feel significantly better compared to last week. I'm still a bit weak in arms and legs, so I'll do my best to get back in tip top shape without stressing myself out.

On last note: HOSPITAL FOOD SUCKS MY SHIT. IT'S NOT EVEN FOOD, IT'S JUST BLAND MULCH USED TO KEEP THE PATIENTS ALIVE AND IN PERPETUAL AGONY.
