Simple. Let's gloss over what this feature entails:

-Youtube encourages people to flag videos that are deemed inappropriate or harmful in some way, and by flagging more videos, you score more points.
-When you net enough points, you become a sort of non-paid moderator, which means:
-you can mass flag and even delete comments on videos you don't own.

Before you ask what is so wrong about it, think about Youtube's policy regarding flagged videos; they always operate on "shoot first, ask questions later" policy, which means you'll have a strike against your account and it stays as permanent record, even if you did nothing wrong. And think of how many people are out there that try their damnedest to get certain videos removed because the video carries a message that does not fit their personal narrative or opposes their agenda. This shit is gonna get abused and go straight into censorship territory.

Also, it smells to me like Google/Youtube letting people do for free something that should be a job for paid moderator staff, but without any regulation or control. Totally not gonna backfire or anything...

This year just fucking loves pulling shit like this, it seems...

Earlier today we received a phone call from one of my aunts...turns out my great-uncle died last night, having suffocated after his apartment was caught on fire. I don't know about all the details, but police investigation apparently revealed that the fire came from the kitchen, and his body was found in the hallway, indicating he attempted to get out, but didn't make it.

I'm....not sure how to feel about this. Entire family was on really shaky terms due to his issues related to alcoholism, and yet, he was still our family member. My mother feared something like this would happen to him due to his drinking problems, that he'll get himself seriously hurt or killed....and then her fears came true.

Despite all that happened, rest in peace, old man. We will miss you.

Due to unexpected schedule change, we were forced to slightly delay our trip home. We should be returning around Wednesday.

Just letting you folks know that I am heading off to grandma's place again to help with some work around the house and yard, and since she has no Internet...you know the drill.

For a group claiming to be followers of a show that preaches tollerance and acceptance, these people sure tend to be the exact, toxic opposite of the show's messages...

They're trying harder and harder to catch anyone using their services for buying or selling adult content, so give this a look!!

Some of you may have heard that Dreamworks has been working on a new Voltron animated series, which just recently began airing on Netflix. Since that service is very limited in my country I had to pull the old "piracy" act to give it a watch and after the initial pilot episode....
....I fucking love it!

Speaking as the old Voltron fan, this show so far seems like a big improvement (especially when you take into account the poor reception of last few "reboots"), the action and humor blend quite decently, the characterizations are so well done that each character personifies a specific trait without being a goddamn stereotype of it (for example, Lance seems a bit annoying and arrogant ladies man but not to the point of being an obnoxious twat...think of Sokka from ATLA). From what I've heard, the show seems to be more closely following the plot of GoLion than original Voltron, so I'll stick around with this one. Animation being done by the same studio that did the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra is a big plus in my book.

Here is one of the music tracks I like to play when I just want to kick back and relax while arting, figured I could share it with you guys, since you might find it suitable for drawing sessions as well.

Vangelis has often been called the "father of synth/electronic music", and when you take into account his vast library of wonderful, ambiental compositions, it's not hard to imagine why he's called that way. The track below is my all-time favorite, "Fields of Coral" from his album "Oceanic". Slow-paced, soothing and slightly melancholic piece that I have been unable to get out of my head ever since I first heard it.

...I was looking at it earlier, and friend of mine brought up some valid points to consider.

1. Disclaimer states the site can connect to multiple accounts on furry websites, and upload artwork there at once. Wouldn't that mean you have to enter your login information for said accounts? So you're basically handing them over your login credentials and potentially, access to your personal information.

2. This thing popped up literally out of nowhere just mere days after FA's security breach. That kind of makes it look rather suspicious.

I am definitely not gonna be using it until it's proven to be safe. Actually, even then I most likely won't be using it. I just don't like the idea of handing my FA/whatever login info to a completely unrelated website. Plus, they can claim to be secure all they want, so did FA's staff and look at what happened. 8T Besides, like I said....the site appearing out of nowhere just as FA had a huge security breach?

1-I created Umbra almost four years ago, inspired by NiGHTS art by an artist named Tikal on DeviantArt. http://tikal.deviantart.com/
2-While Nightmarens are stated to be genderless (or that their gender can be freely interpreted/determined by the player), Umbra identifies herself as female. She doesn't mind it when someone within or outside of the Nightopia refers to her with gender-neutral pronouns, though she will politely correct them.
3-While she shares a lot of physical similarities with NiGHTS and Reala, mainly the jester theme, she is a level 2 Nightmaren. (Level 1 Nightmaren are essentially Wizeman's highest ranking lieutenants)
4-Unlike most other Nightmarens, Umbra's limbs are not separated/floating independently from the body. She can however occasionally detach them, to play pranks on her unsuspecting victims.
5-She absolutely loves dancing, and can be often seen doing so across the Nightopia. Even her combat style seems to be styled as such, in order to confuse opponents and strike them when they least expect it.
6-Despite posessing fighting capabilities (and being quite powerful in her own right), Umbra usually avoids conflicts and will only defend herself when threatened. Even then, she maintains her cheerful appearance, only dropping it when things get really serious.
7-She is fascinated by humans, and will often follow any human that happens to wind up in Nightopia, asking them about their world or playing harmless pranks on them.
8-While she is aware of the sinister origins of her existence, she isn't bothered by it. She is her own, free being, and no one can change that.

1-Keiko was created in 2011. and started out as a "feral" Pokemon, games universe-based. Eventually, influenced by some other people's ideas, I decided to make her into an anthro.
2-She is known in some circles as "Lady Iron Legs", for a good reason. Most of her fighting techniques involve the use of legs, and some of her strongest attacks can wreck boulders like it's not a big deal. Some people find this scary, others find it...quite arousing. With the shape of her legs and hips, who can blame them?
3-She is fluent in four languages: English, Japanese, French and Spanish. However, she mostly uses the former two; English for general communication with others, Japanese for her closest family and some friends.
4-She is also a renowned painter, and some of her works have found their way into the collection of some rather rich and influential people. This provided her with a sizeable income which would usually provide her with a comfy, care-free life. However, she mostly cares about art, so a large portion of her money goes into various charities, support for museums and art exhibitions etc. She leaves just enough for herself to provide her with money for food, clothes, bills and art supplies.
5-Her last name is a reference to Tōbei Tachibana, a recurring character and a sort of mentor figure to the protagonists in the Showa era of Kamen Rider series.
6-She has a really soft spot for spicy food, and often requests from one of her students (who is a chef) to prepare her meals in exchange for training sessions.
7-Has a bit of a smoking habit, which she is trying to cut down or look for alternatives (different, less harmful herbs for her pipe, for example).
8-Her voice would sound familiar to the Japanese voice actress Kazue Komiya-as better example, Japanese voice of Youshi from Giant Robo OVA; somewhat deep but still quite feminine voice.

Just recently finished watching it.

By far the best movie based on comic book franchise, ever. Absolutely unapologetic, vulgar, brutal and hillarious, and I love it to bits. Hands down to Ryan Reynolds for nailing the comedic sociopathy incarnate that is the titular character, and for giving me a solid hour and half of uncontrollable laughter. Everyone played their parts masterfully, and I am already hyped for the sequel.

So I was notified earlier today by my dad that we have to go visit my grandma to help with some work around the house; since she lives on her own, she can't do all of it by herself. So we will be gone for some 10 days, since we plan to return shortly before Easter and prepare everything for some of our family members to come over.

Am I the only one who thinks it's just a more prettied up remake of StarFox 64, with added Gerwalk/walker robot mechanic from never released StarFox 2 for SNES? Everything I have seen so far seems to point towards it (down to the prologue scene taken directly from SF64), and then there's the fact that Nintendo keeps dodging to answer what is the game's place in the series chronologically...
