MAY THE YEAR OF SATAN NOT SUCK FOR YOU SO MUCH AS 2015. DID!!!

So after seeing the movie yesterday, I'm just gonna say the following:

-Finn's motivations for defection aren't exactly clear without reading supporting background material, but he was still a pretty damn good character in the film. He's somewhat clumsy but always tries to do the right thing, and is ballsy enough to stand up to people who can easily kick his ass from here to right over there. His bromance with Poe was also amazing and I fucking want to see more of their camaraderie in the next movie.

-Rey seemed like a great character, initially, what with showing how she lives day-to-day on Jakku, but once they started showing how she's great at fucking everything on the first try is where my suspension of disbelief started to buckle....I mean I know, they meant it to be used as hint that she is a potential Jedi all along, but all of it has been done so hastily and made her seem so goddamn flawless and perfect. Even Luke, who was a prodigy (considering who his father is, no surprise there), had to go through three movies to actually learn how to use his powers and become a Jedi. Rey was able to use most Jedi skills within minutes of first discovering her abilities.

-Seeing all of the veteran characters show up filled me with tons of emotions. Han, Chewie, Leia, C-3PO and others....especially when they interacted with each other, nostalgia kicked in. Although I admit, Carrie Fisher's wooden performance kinda left a black spot on it all.

-BB-8 is goddamn adorable. Even more so than R2-D2. THERE, I SAID IT!!! For a droid with no face, they really managed to pull off how he displays his emotions, and one small moment of interaction between him and Finn left me in stitches from laughing.

-Kylo Ren....EEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHH....I liked the idea of him looking up to Darth Vader and trying to copy his mannerisms and appearance, but once he actually....ehh, began to do his thing....I started to really dislike him. And then the key event near the end of the film solidified my dislike into utter hatred for the character. Abrams, you better fucking fix him in Episode VIII.

-I couldn't really give a shit about Starkiller Base. It's just so trying hard to be over-the-top and overkill that I just...couldn't care really.

Overall, if you overlook the flaws, it's a pretty goddamn good movie, the sequel to original trilogy we've all been waiting for. I give it 8.5/10

Yeaahhh....I admit this is in a way both ridiculous and interesting to see how it turns out. XD Still not sold on the mecha and Ranger suits designs.

So after being like, a month or so late on the bandwagon, I finally got to play the game.

.....I'm sorry. I wouldn't exactly call Undertale "a game".
I think it would be better suited to call it "an experience". Because seriously, all the shit I experienced while playing this lovely little piece; the laughter, happiness, sadness, anger, sympathy....it's hard to believe how come something this simple was able to tell a wonderful story about friendship and DETERMINATION. Far better than how hard most of today's AAA titles are touting ultra realistic graphics where you can count fucking hairs on a guy's chin, blaring soundtracks with generic orchestral scores, "omg quick time events!", microtransactions and all kinds of bullshit, with story being more of an afterthought.

The characters; some you come to love on the first encounter (looking at you, Papyrus, Muffet and bunny merchant!), others you really grow fond of over time (Alphys, Undyne), others make you feel wrecked as hell (admit it, you wanted to give youknowwho a big hug after all the shit that happened to him!!) and others you fucking hate to the ends of the Earth (thatotherwhothatisresponsibleforallthecrapthathappened). Subversions of certain popular RPG elements have been quite refreshing and at times quite funny, the gameplay was enjoyable, and not all that difficult (actually Asgore kicked my ass the most, killed me like 8 times lol). I don't even need to talk about soundtrack, instead look it up if you haven't already and experience it yourself. Along with the game.

And to those who may wonder...NO. I am not doing the Genocide Run. Ever.

After a long and exhausting trip, I have finally made it back home. A long work season finally behind me, I can rest and work on what I owe, as well as scan some sketches I did while away. I also brought back my sister's laptop to see if my friend can do something about it (you know what they say about doctors; a lost case for one doctor is a salvageable for another, same can be said about tech repair guys).

After two months of struggle with cancer, my uncle-dad's youngest brother, passed away last night. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, so I had to move my schedule a bit.

My dad came over to help with packing and some other stuff, and we should be heading home either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I must say, I will miss this place, and people I worked with. We made one helluva team.

As title implies, what refreshments do you people like to drink during these unbearably hot days? We all know plain water ain't cutting it, so we all reach for those sweet-ass drinks, carbonated or not. List your favorites! As for me...

Carbonated:

-plain Coca-Cola, as long as it's original and not some offshoot brand
-Fanta, either Orange or Shokata (lemon and elderflower flavor)
-Schweppes Tonic Water or Mojito
-Guarana (very rarely though, only when I feel groggy since these are full of caffeine and sugar)
-Gineta (local drink, juniper flavored)

Non-carbonated:

-mostly homemade stuff when we have enough fruit for it, like lemons, oranges etc. On some occasions, I go for cranberry or blueberry juice

So the fucker worked fine yesterday, until it decided to freeze completely. Non responsive to any keyboard or mouse input, all fans were spinning, however I noticed that it's CD/DVD drive was trying to load a disc from the tray for some reason, even though there wasn't any disc inside. It does it even with tray open, as I can see the laser lens blinking every couple of seconds.

So I forcefully shut it down with power button, and try to power it on again.

Again, fans spin (albeit at constant pace) however that disc tray issue is still there, and the system won't boot at all. Not even the manufacturer splash logo shows up, just a black screen, so I am ruling out HDD failure for now. I will be taking it to a technician tomorrow to check it out.

Just dropping in to let you guys know I still live, the job is pretty great and it leaves me with plenty of time off so I can art. The Internet situation is the same as usual, no WiFi so I have to rely on my phone's limited data plan which I hope to fix soon so I can maintain stable contact with everyone. Stay safe folks!

Made it safely this morning, spent some time getting re-acquainted with this place (haven't been here in 7 years), then went to sign the one month contract, then back to our appartment to catch some Z's since I spent 13 hours sleepless on the bus. As stated previously there is no Internet here so I'm using one on my phone until I figure something out. I have set up my sis' laptop so I can work on art during my time off of work.

Speaking of which, I start tomorrow so wish me luck!

So, earlier today I received a call from my mom who went to work in Dubrovnik for the summer-originally I was supposed to go as well, but due to some weird policy they don't allow two people working from same family working at same place. However, according to her, she talked to one of her bosses earlier this week to look elsewhere, and what happened? I got a job at a different place, but also in Dubrovnik!

The kicker is, I am supposed to haul my ass off there tomorrow evening so I spent most of the day packing my stuff and making sure what will I carry with me. My older sister (who's also down there) offered to give me her laptop so I can work on the art I owe, so I'll also be carrying with me all the art and commission/trade WIPs I have so I can work on them when I'm off-duty (luckily for me I only work morning shifts, from 7am to 2 pm (till noon on Saturday while Sunday is day off)).

Another problem is Internet-the place where my mom and sister are staying has no Internet (with closest neighbors enabling their WiFi very rarely), and while I do have Internet on my smartphone, it's a limited data plan so I'll have to use it sparingly, to check up messages and send WIPs to people for approval.

Regarding the job, I'll first be doing a tryout period of one month, and if I meet their expectations, they'll be extending my contract till October. Wish me luck people, and I hope I'll be able to come up with something so I can stay in touch with everyone!

VA talent behind voices of approximately 1/3 of the overall Simpsons cast, including Ned Flanders, mr. Burns, Smithers, mr. Skinner, Lenny and others, has made an announcement that he will not be returning to voice these characters in future Simpsons episodes. Some state he's leaving to focus on other projects, others claim it is due to Fox refusing to raise his paycheck. Whichever the reason is, the Simpsons have lost quite a talent and by proxy, a lot of characters we've known and loved for all these years.

How will the show resume after all this remains to be seen.
