General | Posted 14 years ago Okay, In the wake of my announcement that I am working on a new game, called RED LIGHT DISTRICT, that will require an ALERT PAY ACCOUNT to access some features in game, some furs seem to be worried that I am going a bit $$$ Crazy and might start charging for other games I have released(Classic or HTH2 for example).
Please be aware that I have NEVER and WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER charge you to play anything in the HIGH TAIL HALL series. This began as a FREE game and it will remain as such. Even HTH:RLD will have plenty of free elements in game to play with.
To clear up any confusion here is my project list.

RIO DVD PRODUCTION NOTES
I hope to resume updating the DVD by late this month. I've managed to pull many of the 3d files out of backup and have been updating them to our current standards.
Yes I do have a detailed list of new visual standards I will be adhering to through out the production of the DVD (Aside from the usual standards of most DVDs, I want this to look TOP GRADE professional when complete).
Many Details and Scenes have been altered or all together redesigned since the last time I posted anything. However with the current computer situation I will only be able to show so much. Mostly still frames and sets.
The biggest update to the Look of the DVD is Rio's new model and the New 3d Backgrounds and lighting system. I'm Very exited to share all of the new footage with you ASAP!

Two of our graphics tablets have crapped out since the start of the year.
Funny thing is the new one is completely FUBAR (story of my fucking life).
One in Feb, one today. I've managed to hammer these things back together
several times over the last 4 years but they have finally tanked on us.
::A NOTE CONCERNING MY REPUTATION WITHIN THE FANDOM::
I know some people might have trust issues with me after my vanishing act 2 years
ago left the window open for Trolls. Many of these trolls have put into peoples heads
that I am a crook or the kind of person that will take the money and run. Trust me, I
understand being silent didn't help the situation. However, if I took the time to respond
to every post, shoot down every lil' troll and post the all of the updates while in production
over the last 2 years I would still be tiling the floor. I'm not kidding.
See, that whole time I was gone i was restructuring the game. All the 3d was built in that
time. All the code was written, the software aquired, the major characters updated and new
characters planned. I also had to rethink how flash was going to run the game.
So After 2 years of having stones thrown at me by everyone from troll's to hacks,
and keeping quite, just working away, I have come back, re-released the game,
continued to (rather slowly) process that list of commissions down there and I am
planning a list of games and projects a mile long.
I think we can all see now that I am not running anywhere, and I am certainly not
a crook. My current rate of production speaks for itself. Currently, I have Zoe, Rio, Sasha,
Anne, Raquel, and Cindy almost ready to go. Many new areas are in production. Real life
just tends to pop up and from time to time kick us square in the nuts...
that is part of the game.
:: WHY HTH STUDIOS HATES PAYPAL ...A cautionary tale ::
I would like to make it clear that I had been working with Paypal for a LONG time.
I was verified as a business and operated as an adult site without issue for around 4 years.
I was happy with the service they provided seeing as they where one of the few types of CCP
I could afford at the time. When I joined the site they where happy to take me on as a client
and also more than happy to take a percentage of my income.
They have a clause now banning adult content in all it's forms. When I joined no such
clause existed so I was fine. Within one month however, Early in 2010 I received a random
email from PAYPAL saying all of my accounts where frozen and my earnings where dissolved
due to a violation of their NEW terms of service.
I was put out like I shot their dog. I haven't even been able to contact them without
being put on hold and eventually hung up on.
The ONLY thing that I was able to save was the record of all pre-orders for the Rio DVD.
Once that project is complete completed you will receive what you payed for.
Now this is where it gets ugly. They have done this to thousands of people.
Many who you would never suspect. If anyone in this fandom still doing adult art and using paypal is not ready to switch to alert pay you may not have a choice soon.
I highly recommend we as a community go with what at this
time seems to be a safer option.

I have opted to go with alert pay because they have made it clear they are
friendly to adult companies. However they are also transitioning to a new set
of rules and are currently waiting to hear back from major credit card companies concerning
the final stages of accepting many credit cards. That is all we are waiting for.

I've been out of work technically since November 2010, However I have
managed to keep myself afloat this whole time without any requests for donations.
It's been hard but I'm happy with the amount of time I have to work on the game.
Keeping this ship afloat is hell but it's my choice to do it.
The thing is while working on the game is slowly becoming my full time job I'm still
very far from being a stable or even partial source of income.
User donations help pay the studios operational costs (sever, hosting ect.) but they
also mean I don't have to go flip burgers and McD's house. I feel I serve the fandom
better by making games and music than by making orders of fries.
Finally, Please keep in mind I have also been working off a bare bones laptop for 2 years.
This is the last machine we have left so i'm not functioning at warp 9 to say the least.

Moving took longer than expected due to some paperwork issues, our moving help also turned out to be flakes and never showed up, pricks, so this was a week of myself and Tyvara moving the whole operation cross town. fuck ups and truck problems included.

This won't take more than about 2 days max. Most of our stuff is in boxes so it's just loading the truck and getting it in the new place and unpacking all our stuff.

General | Posted 14 years agoAdded a new Poison Dart Frog girl to The House of Eve. I'll be adding more options and actions to the house of eve over the next few weeks.
The map screen has also been altered to accommodate faster load times. As nice as it is to have moving water... no one seems to give a shit. lol.
Floor 2 is going to be undergoing massive updates over this weekend.

The area has now been split between the lobby and the strip club through the right door when you first exit the elevator.
Due to the fact that many people seem upset with the pixelization of this area, many elements are being optimized to improve performance.
Please, let me know if these changes have improved the areas load times, appearance, lagging issues etc.

General | Posted 15 years agoI recently updated the Lobby of the main hall with new graphics and a slide navigator.

I also cut up the area into several smaller swf. files to reduce the amount of these horrible load times. I understand this is an issue and I'm working on it.
SIDE NOTE:
Several people have stated that the HD version is a pain to stream. Areas that have been updated recently are being presented in HD at this time. I am working on a site based, lower resolution version for slower connections.
More on that later.
The outside of the building, the lobby, the elevator, and the restrooms now all load separately.
Please, let me know if these changes have improved the areas load times, appearance, lagging issues etc.

THE LATEST NEWS:
WORK HAS RESUMED FOR HIGH TAIL HALL 2! I am sorry this has taken so long to get a post out but myself, Tyvara and the studio have been displaced for over 2 months.
I will have Pics and game updates out within a few weeks and hopefully much new video by the summer of 2010.
DVD NEWS
A lot of work still needs to be done on getting the DVD produced and finalized. I know it has been A FUCKING BAGILLION YEARS since i started taking pre orders but I can assure you a product is coming.
I am sorry but at this time I can not give a solid release date.
HARDWARE NEWS
** AS STATED ABOVE, DO NOT SEND IN DONATIONS THROUGH PAYPAL. THEY WILL NOT BE USED**
HTH STUDIOS main computer, The Frankenstein Mark III is failing. This doesn't make things go any quicker but it's what I'm working with.
The machine has been working solid for YEARS and is only failing recently. Good new is this time We have a backup system
(The Frankenstein Mark II) if all goes to shit.
HTH Studios will no longer be processing transactions with pay-pal. Please give us a few days to find a new solution.
I will be updating the game within 3 weeks. My job has sent me to the ends of the earth since december plus we had to move shop again.
All background rendering is done for the latest update to HTH 2. New characters are coming as well.

QUICK UPDATE: Computer Crash + Game Updates coming Soon.
General | Posted 16 years agoReally quick. Very busy with the next HTH 2 Update. Multiple new areas, characters, sex scenes, bug/sound fixes, fx, music and downloads.
Some changes will be coming to the internal working of the game. it may go kind of haywire when I make the next update so i'll need people to let me know what happens.
This last month my primary HD freaked out and shit itself. I was working on the problem for quite sometime. Apple tech support had to look at it three time...I abuse my machine...some times it cries.
Anyway all files and game content are safe and sound. New backups have been made and work has resumed. This next update is going to GREATlY expand on where the player can go and how the player moves. I still have character animation to due but I'm looking at a week to two weeks for the next update. My work schedule has also been horrible this last month so i appologize for floating of into deep space once again.
Thank you all for your support and patience and thanks to all who have donated to HTH Studios.
